Would like I told this guy sorry I don't know his name. On the back of the radio there is an aux cord coming out of it. And then there is a HDMI output depending on your phone like I have a type c charger I'm having a difficult time finding a HDMI 2 type c data charge cord that's for my radio. But if you have an iPhone they have plenty of cords but if you have the other types they make them to but the HDMI makes it another aux cord. The video in that is down can be turned into an aux cable to. I will go to a video and post it on here underneath this post it tells you all about the settings for this radio it is amazing what this radio can do that the destructions don't tell you about like they said in the video I watched depending on how serious your radio and stereo is it's how serious you can go into this settings of this radio different equs they have in this radio is insane and the DPR that is built into it it makes it where you don't have to put an extra one on your system to clean just your tweeters or clean just your subwoofer or meds you can go in there and tweak them all by the radio I've never seen a radio do this. But enjoy the radio and no there is some really cool attachments that can go to this radio to make it where you have more aux cables. And the other really cool feature is mirroring you can mirror everything from your phone to the radio just the way you see it on your phone all your apps all your pictures everything will be on the radio you can transfer pictures to your radio so you can have your own photo album on your radio as me as an artist I like showing my stuff off so be able to do that in my truck on my radio is really cool. I chase storms and take pictures of lightning mostly and getting the show that off in my truck would be really cool 2 me.
9:53 The Speed control is for the camera If you hook up the camera it does your speed it does everything through your radio So they go ahead and build that and so if you hook up the camera that comes with that radio you don't have to hook up a Extra cable for your speed it's automatically in there.
Ok...so I bought the dmx1037s a week ago ..was watching these videos and realized mine didn't have the parametric eq.....same price too ?...oh hell naw...had to take it back to grab this model the dmx1057xr....the extra eq and 5 volt output did it for me 💯 same as the 1037s....without the 2 features I just named.. oh. And a silver trim over the nobs
Crazy glad you were able to get the upgraded model while in stock I just had the 1057 installed my only issue is Iam trying to figure out how to screen mirror my galaxy s21 ultra
I installed this stereo on my truck and it was great the first year and then as Phone started getting updates and getting newer the stereo started getting whole bunch of problems disconnecting not connecting with the wireless android auto, sucks now Kenwood does not make any updates for this stereo.
Nope he couldn't see forkin over the dough when he already has the greatest tape deck alpine ever created! but would highly recommend it if your in the market for a used late model toyota or honda.
The HDMI port in the back I don't know what kind of phone you had I think you said you had a Samsung but there is a feature in the radio you are talkin about it not having to aux cables it does it's just a little different. I have the same radio in my truck hooked up to my system and if you use the HDMI output and go into the settings and switch it from iPhone to Android you can get an HDMI hookup provided your phone has the HDMI cord for it but if it does then you can have crisp clean audio back and forth. Plus if you ground out your emergency brake to your ground you can use the interface of the mirror and everything your phone does the unit will do to if you don't fix that ground as soon as you put it in drive it will go away but if you fix the ground everything your phone shows it will show. I have had a lot of fun playing what this radio it beats my old Kenwood. It does so much more if you get in the radio specs to it doesn't just have one equalizer and phase it has multiple and multiple accuse.
When the phone is plugged in it uses the GPS in the phone but for some strange reason via wireless connection it uses the unit's own GPS and speed sensor.
I dont knownabout the speed sensor because I did notice it didn't show up on my unit as it does on the phone..but it definitely uses the info from your phone when wireless
When you plug your Android phone into USB, does it automatically disable wireless Android Auto? Because wireless is definitely not something I'm interested in. Tidal Hi-Fi disables their premium audiophile content when you're using wireless. Even when I have my phone plugged into my OEM Sony stereo system in my Explorer, I have to disable Bluetooth on my phone to get the better SQ.
The website shows it supports 4 cameras, anyone use this with the current 4 camera's for birds eye view? Or does that get lost? Wanting this for a 2015 Nissan Murano. I appreciate any feedback.
Is there any auxilary input on the device? how do I play music on it from my phone? I play music from Spotify and I don't want to use bluetooth as it messes up the quality. Will wireless Android Auto allow me to play the songs without sacrificing quality?
Alright I'll try and make as much sense as possible, here we go. On newest Pioneer headunits (AVH DMH NEX), when you adjust the volume, two separate volume tracks appear on screen: one says 'volume,' and the other says 'guidance/Apple CarPlay.' In this video when I see you adjust the volume, all I see is a track for volume. Do Kenwood radios like this have a separate channel for guidance/Apple CarPlay? Or what does that look like?

Doesn't know why. They need wired sense and GPS antenna and he only uses Android auto and apple carplay, that's exactly what those are for. Android auto and apple carplay require those
It actually has an extensive brightness control setting options look up Dean and Fernando Five Star Car Audio here on UA-cam they have a three-part series on these radios he goes over that in one of them

How is the resolution on the screen? Does it look HD or does it have that screen door effect ?

@@chiefbeef3257 It definitely doesn't, call Kenwood tech support. I got that information directly from them because I had a faulty GPS unit.

I'm not 100% sure on that since we did not hook up the Sirius. I would definitely look on Kenwood's website It should show some images

How to clean? Without scratching?
I would say get some wet wipes and a microfiber type cloth ...I used a microfiber with mine...all it needed was a lil wet wipe moisture
What do you need the USB for?
The USB is for thumb drives or your ipod or IPHONE or android phones like wired carplay or android auto.
With the features of the EQ would you need to add a DSP?
If you want the best possible sound then yes but honestly it sounds great as it is.
