This is my very favorite sling performance ever. I save it and watch it over and over. A wonderful performance combining artistry and a perfect execution of a beautiful flow. Music and costume perfect. The beginning almost looks like slow motion until I realized it wasn’t.
Myrtle Grace aerial yoga classes are pretty popular now and multiple studios can be found that teach it especially in major cities like orlando new York Chicago Detroit LA etc.
The flow is really good, lots of simple tricks but they were well thought out and cued. The song was new but super engaging with the piece. I’m really impressed

You make it look so effortless and I love that you were able to convey a story and emotion, something that was sorely lacking in most of the others that I watched. Wooow i don't know how you do it but you make it look so mesmerizing even if it's with just beginner moves, that shows how much control and grace you have, it's gorgeous and mesmerizing, like it's impossible not to watch and to be amazed by it

Please please, teach how to do some of the transitions! There's no videos I can find and where I live there's only aerial yoga! I can do some of the moves but have no way to learn any routine. Would be very appreciated and for sure, following you! Love your vibe, the best I found
I do regular aerial silks and now I’m thinking about all of the cool tricks on sling, It has this slight Lyra element and I’m into it! Too bad my current studio doesn’t do sling 😭
Taylor Adair You would be able to translate the moves very easily if you are used to silks and Lyra. I believe there is a lot of trapeze fundamentals with it as well. It might be an option to bring a pre tied sling to the studio during open gym and they can put it up for practice. I’ve always found studio pretty flexible with that. 😊

I totally agree with EvilxElmo. I have just watched more than 2 hours of various silks (and many more hours in the last few weeks, including Cirque de Sol performer. and all kinds of prize winners. This ONLY needs more feeling with the music and words. The moves are masterful
misstorious I completely disagree with you. She completely moved to what was calling for her at that time! That’s the beautiful and most precious thing about art is being creative and authentic to what moves one. Intimate Spins did just that!
AGREED! I don't think anything should be criticized. I think she handled the unsolicited comment with grace and class. Social media has turned the world into a bunch of judgemental, opinionated, commenters to an excess. Her performance and routine were ART. Experience that. I tried this for the first time yesterday. It was unexpectedly painful wrapping the silk around the legs. Who knew? Peace and blessings.
D'Anna C Nobody is criticizing her whatsoever. What the person did was give constructive criticism different from your usual harmful criticism! It helps the artist get better and at the same time, it helps them give their audience what they want. As you say, social media has turned all good and healthy constructive criticism into “criticizing” and “harmful” which helps nobody, specially the artist which is why we have shitty artists who think they are better than anybody else because they wont accept positive criticism. I think the answer the dancer gave was perfect. She accepted the advice and took it into consideration which helps her grow into an ever better dancer and it gives her points for future possible followers/fans and a good standing. Nobody is denying she was great and beautiful and graceful.
Great job! Nice drop. Should get some others together and synchronize it. Cirque was notorious for silks, always fascinated me and my sling was my favorite for aerial.
i just started doing antigravity yoga and i came across this vid, got so inspired! how long did it take you to get to this level? i'm still afraid of heights and getting used to being upside down :)
The movement of the silks can be a little unnerving. I would get motion sickness and if I haven’t been on it in a while I will still get it. I would suggest keep working on it and building up more time in the sling as you get more comfortable. 😊
Lily L I had done pole for several years before discovering aerial yoga. I know I had to adjust to not having a pole to hold on to. It’s a different feeling to be floating in the air. When you become more accustomed to it it’s rather freeing ☺️
kierra I’m so sorry for just seeing this!! It took a little bit of time. I had to build up some hand strength when I started. I also had to get used to the spinning and movement... that was probably the hardest thing to get used to
