I was so upset by not finding Zero, I was about to give up Duik. And then like magic I see this tutorial. You have no idea how happy it makes me. Thank you so much.
Please keep making these tutorials on DUIK. They are super helpful - would be willing to pay for more in-depth classes on DUIK if you ever want to make a paid course. Or would love to see you do a collab with School of Motion or Skillshare or another teaching platform. Thank you!
@@TheKeyframeAcademy yes, but I think the other tools I use (Limber, Rubberhose, just recently got Bao Bones as well but haven't tried it out yet) are easier to use/easier to pick up on my own than DUIK. I use DUIK, but only a small subset of DUIK's functions. Really ideally, I'd like a course that teach DUIK's functions from beginning to end, and show multiple use cases/examples. Also, unrelated, but I really appreciate how you explain how to solve/troubleshoot problems, like how to have the sleeve attach to the arm, explaining how you can't simply place it inside the precomp because the sleeve's stroke isn't fully around. Really great, detailed examples - thank you! And another unrelated note, personally I would like to see more tutorials/courses on scene to scene transitions. Specifically, how to animate 2D illustrations in a 3D or faux 3D scenes in an explainer video (for example the room/scene does a 360 degree turn... you can't just turn on 3D and rotate it.. the only way I can see doing it is frame by frame, but I might be missing something). Anyway, that's way off topic now, but that would be another area in which I'd have definite interest in taking a paid course for. I'm sure others will too, because instructors on learning sites and UA-cam tend to teach specific topics like how to create a specific effect or how to use a specific tool, use a specific technique in one scene, but almost noone walks you through topics like changing the scene's perspective, morphing transitions (scene to scene morph, not just an object morphing into another). Sorry for the long reply!
Ok, this is even more useful than the previous video! I'll try to use everything you showed especially the Parent across comps and IK/FK Switch features. If possible, I'd love to see your insights and approach using Duik's Automation tab in future videos. Thank you so much again for an amazing video John! 👌👌👌
Nice video sir, can you tell me that while we can animate the character by auto rig by anchor point, why do we put bones because they already rig by auto rig with anchor point
I thought we discussed this already. Stop showing me cool stuff in DUIK or I swear I'm going to have to redo all my character rigs I've already made with Dekay!!!

Stayed tuned! Side question, would you consider a course that uses a different character rigging tool other than DUIK?

Okay fine. No more DUIK videos EVER!
The duplecated arm dont work for me, the arms still respond to original controller.
are you extracting controllers using the master properties, or expressions?
@@TheKeyframeAcademy the both didnt work for me
are you duplicating the contoller and the arm composition, or just the composition?
@@TheKeyframeAcademy just the composition
