    Ramen I reckon the best part of this video is actually how you view each raid. The fact you state each time that you died but you got kills towards a goal and you learnt something is the most valuable takeaway for old and new players.

    Loving the videos. Minor recommendation, when using your audio cues and subtitling important sound cues such as a player bandaging at 8:08, it might be a good idea to lower the background music so that we as the audience can more clearly hear the cues. Just a subtle thing that could make a difference in sherpa-ing new players who aren't as familiar with the audio and how it plays such an important role in informing the strategy of when to push, how to retreat, and something to be mindful of.

      @@uhmEvade sure, it could have been worse. Perhaps, I was a bit too harsh. In the last 3 month, my opinion might have changed a bit, but still I do not like this sort of passive gameplay: if I hear a fight, I either actively engage or completely avoid it. An ambush is indeed an effective solo tactics, but just does not feel right. Imaging, these guys have killed everyone in dorms, had a lot of loot and were happy and then a guy with VPO sitting in the bushes...
      Plus, you have to take in account the context here: they say gear does not matter in this game. Your gear DOES matter, it allows you to try different playstyles and succeed. Going hobo with a VPO in the middle of the wipe leaves one or two playstyles to play that might be rewording but not necessary fun.
      And from this video I got a feeling that this is how EFT is supposed to be played, like it is more a simulator and so on. What it means for everyone? Well, there will be more people sitting in the bushes, trying to be more like that UA-camr they have watched instead of playing the game and having fun.
      For comparison, here is the guy who inspires me (on twitch and he is russian speaking) b_komhate.

    • @DalYeosin
      @DalYeosin Рік тому

      @@kirillkudashkin9244 So, first of all:
      Everyone plays EFT with their own style of play and there is no right or wrong. You also draw your conclusions completely without thinking. He sat in the bushes because fights started behind him and in front of him. He was gradually pinched from two sides. Of course you would run straight into it, but that would be more than unwise. Sometimes EFT involves sitting somewhere still and waiting for the air to clear.. especially in a game where it's hard to take on entire troops as a solo player.

    I was super stoked to finally catch a few of these live since you made the YT switch! As a kedr enthusiast, I would absolutely recommend the kedr-b (the suppressed one) over the unsuppressed variants. I've used all of them extensively and there's just something about the suppressed one that's significantly more effective. Also, the kedr is one of the few guns in the game that I will always run iron sights on. Red dots seem to make it just... not hit things. Finally, and most importantly, the kedr is 100% a leg meta monster if you use the right ammo - the PST you were using only does 50 flesh damage. I will ALWAYS run sp7 if I can, if not then sp8 is the next runner up. Those rounds do 77 and 67 flesh respectively.
    Also, you might have seen me say this in your stream, but I'd love to see you try a bone stock VPO-209 (the 366 one) with a mag of AP and point firing on factory. I did that for the paca / ratnik punisher quest this wipe. You could probably slap on the handguard / laser combo from skier for cheap too, I actually managed to wipe factory a couple of times like that and made several significant come-ups. Most of all though, it's super fun.

    I remember similar situation, when me and my friend, both with VPOs, came to the Shoreline to do some quests. After some time, we found ourselves like really close to the airdrop, so my friend decided to loot it while I'm covering him, but two other guys both in Slick and ULACH, with heavily modded meta M4's came from my blind zone and killed my friend. I decided to stay low, since I was in the bushes, but still really close to the airdrop, and when one of these guys came to loot both airdrop and my dead friend - I gave him a very nice headshot. And when this happened, the second guy started panicking, and stupidly started running whil trying to find me, and got shot. Tho, lower music would be nice so we can hear the play, as if on your shoes. It helps get a better directional hint for me at least, cause i'm 80% deaf on left side(it sucks for FPS, let me tell ya that)

  • @sprintstothebathroomdaily2429

    Seeing this now.
    This late in a wipe my boys and i run "vietcong" raids
    Where you run hp ammo or anything that creates heavy bleeds. Ambush nail the legs or arms.
    Its surprisingly good 2 bleeds creates crazy pressure and you win a lot of fights you woudnt expect.
    Counter argument is run bp and tap heads but thats boring

    "How to survive with cheap gear" in theory : if you're outside stay as far as you can from the middle of the fight to avoid being surrounded, if you're inside stay cool and nimble, try to confuse /surprise ennemies with movement
    "How to survive with cheap gear" in practice : if you're outside sit behind/inside trees and bushes, if you're inside do whatever you can and hope luck's on your side

    Hey, at First death,
    1. you didnt check the ammo in the magazine
    2. you didnt check the firing mode
    3. if you had premed pain you would still be alive.
    Some good tips for new people, and in dorms with shotty nothing level 6 about a 26/26 armor unfortunately its more like level 2-3

    I just now played a Factory match where I got the drop on a guy who was sniping at me from the bridge, and put fifteen rounds center mass from my PPsh on him. He still killed me, because he had souped up armor and took almost no damage. Gear matters a lot more than I thought lol, btw I am a very new player

    • @RamenStyle
      @RamenStyle  Рік тому

      Yep it matters for sure! But when used right, it can be deadly. If by any chance you could leg meta or head tap that dude you saw, would've been the play, but of course, always easier said than done! GGs though 🙏

  • @sachajanssens8576
    @sachajanssens8576 Рік тому

    Well, you proved you can do something with cheap gear, but you still need DEEP knowledge of armor, ammo, weapons and the map in order to pull this kind of shenanigans. I'm a noob myself (bought it a month ago) and I can tell you that there is NO way I could do the things you have done. But it is a nice proof of concept. It can be done, if you know what you are doing.
    For me, I'll just go and pour a couple of 100's of hours into it and see where I get :) thanks for the vid!

  • @DirtyChungus
    @DirtyChungus Рік тому

    Honestly I'd consider playing Tarkov again if I could just get over gear fear, even when going cheap I was scared of fights and would choke or make dumb mistakes and lose it all, it was a vicious cycle. I'd love to see you make a video or comment on your methods to get over gear fear. I am not someone whos played a ton of shooters, sure I've tried them, but havent spent hundreds of hours on one since OG Insurgency and classic MW2, so being a Chad is just not my style, thats probably my disadvantage and what makes me horrible at this game honestly

    I would like to second this topic. As a player with a lot of hours in DayZ, you can bring a similar play style here and beat players with better gear than you. You must maintain a good balance of aggression, strategy, and wrapping to keep the fight in your terms. I hardly have 50 hours in the game and have been able to kill kitted players with shotguns and SKS (the bread and butter of early life in DayZ)

    The music you use is often out of context or straight up too loud for a (kinda asmr) game like tarkov, otherwise great video :)
    (Try mixing your audio with open back headphones, might help you manage levels more organically, and if you don't have one just test your audio on different devices)

    • @RamenStyle
      @RamenStyle  Рік тому

      Appreciate the insight man! Yeah I might look into open backs, thanks for the advice. This is admittedly one of the videos I'm sure I messed up with audio mixing especially with important parts. I've been finding the balance of using music vs letting the game speak for itself in the more recent uploads, but still definitely working on it and getting better. Thanks for the constructive criticism man, always helps 🙏
