    You're easily one of the best solo player resources - purely because you break down tactics that would work for any skill level. Combine this with offline aim testing to get a good feel for your gun (start with a single shot weapon) you're going to be in great shape. Great video.

    Playing with a range scope is definitely a different feeling . Ive been playing with range scopes on my AR and i realized that every shot matters with range and I am always on a thinking loop of playing at range. Its a different feeling. Its pretty fun . Landmark once said this on stream and I've been doing this since, "What is the penalty to putting a scope on your gun?" and he is absolutely right. There is literally no down side, besides the camera recoil difference between a holo sight and a scope. However after awhile of playing you can just memorize the recoil patterns, and even if your scope is blurring out black (from the camera recoil) you can still get kills as long as you memorize the recoil pattern of the gun

    this is how you use rifles in real life, single shots on longer distances and full auto only if necessary at close range
    in real life it's easier to focus your vison on things in the distance even without sights but games have problem with that so you need sights even and ranges beyond 50 meters
    i like how games like arma solve it where you can basically zoom in your vision even without scopes to emulated the feeling of looking at something in the distance
    like back in the cold war people also shot at each other at ranges between 100 - 300 meters and were decently accurate, all just with iron sights

    Good and nice informative video, even tho i have played this game for some wipes i will definitely take some of this stuff into account and try out in my playstyle. A little constructive feedback, when u have an automatic gun like the ak going for snipeshots/longer ranged shots, i would say switching to singlefire is much better cuz then u wont accidently fire a small burst of 2-4 shots instead of the 1 u are trying to hit their heads with. I find that helps me a lot when firing guns that isnt super mega configurated with low recoil. Sometimes when u shoot with a m4 or like the akm the gun jumps a bit after the first shots, meaning u wont hit their head.

      First off, appreciate the support man. Glad you're enjoying the content!
      I love how you mentioned that you don't wanna spend time running offline raids, 'cause I resonate with that. I always recommend newer players to not do too many offline raids, because offline raids can only teach you so much, like map layout and scav spawns, but that's pretty much it. One of the more important parts of map knowledge is understanding player/PMC spawns, their pathing from spawn, common hotspots, common angles, etc.. You have the right mindset. And honestly, there's no shortcut. Just keep playing online raids and learn as you go. There'll be a lot of deaths along the way, but try your best to take note of how you died. Example: where'd you get shot from? Where do you think that guy spawned? At what time of the raid did you die? - Asking questions like these can help you figure out how to play around that next time. Would love to do a full video on this in the future, but if anything, I'd say you're already 10 steps ahead knowing you wanna learn more and that offline raids wont do so much for you. Keep going man!

    HAMR + Deltapoint red dot, BRAVO + any red dot, ACOG + backup iron sight (RMR red dot is horseshit, wiggles like a grandma on a dance course) are all super good for this reason - gives you the medium-long range you need while still being able to fight close too. Next step up from that is a 30mm scope mount with the Burris TAC30, Eotech Vudu or Vortex Razor scopes and a red dot top mounted.
    Jaeger 1 has the Tac30 scope for 2 vodkas and sells the basic 30mm scope mount, so you'll have to run a canted sight if you're gonna use that. Great setup with a Vepr until you get higher level traders and flea market. Jaeger 3 sells the next best 30mm scope mount which is the Recknagel Era-Tac 30mm mount and it has two slots for mounting red dots or rangefinders, I run it almost all the time.

This will lock your aim for the rest of the game so that you don't get that artificial zoom when aiming down any sights, which seems to not only help with checking your sides, but doesn't drop frames so bad when you first ADS. The only con is, if you use your free look again, you'd have to re set the lock.

    I typically only run on Semi-Auto. The only time I use full-auto is if someone is running up on me or if I know there is an opponent (PMC) around the corner. I haven't put any testing into it but long range tap firing on full-auto has been less accurate at distance in my experience. As someone who has played console my entire life I am not used to recoil control on mouse. So I find it easier to run Semi-Auto in most occasions.

    Great video. The problem I run into sometimes with 4-6x variable zoom scopes is when to use which magnification. The (mili)seconds when I decide which one to use often costed me an kill. I solved this issue by using 4x scope with an red dot on top, like the bravo and hamer. Give them a try. The RD helps a lot in close fire fights.

  • @Talishar
    @Talishar Рік тому +1

    My only criticism in this video is to change your zero. 50m is too close for any kind of ranged marksmanship and was why most of your misses happened. The game zeroes for the second intersection point. So at 50m, that's when the bullet is dropping back down and intersects 50m. This is why a lot of your level shots missed the head or didn't drop people and you were holding over to get hits. You also have to take into consideration that bullet drop is drastically different when shooting up or down at targets at different elevations than you. You need to hold over a lot less because the bullet's velocity is in/against the direction of gravity. When shooting up at the guy on the roof, you actually shot over their head the first two shots and they ducked down because they heard the whiff of the supersonic crack of the bullet over their heads. An easy zero to work with is 100m, although many modern AR folks do around a 200m zero which gives them approximate point accuracy around 25m as well when the bullet is traveling upwards and intersects the sight's level.
    Practice and master your gun's zeroing mechanics and you'll do so much better.

    works only if you've spent enough cash on your PC as anything after 1x magnification causes the image being rendered twice. Many people will just face 30fps or even lower using that method. and those who do suffer from that insane fps drop, won't have a chance to fight like this. Oh, and with 1x-4x scopes, the 1x also gets double rendered. why, I don't know, it is the way it is.

    What fov do you use with scopes? Or in general? I heard on Reddit that with different gov you have different recoil

    • @RamenStyle
      @RamenStyle  Рік тому +1

      I use 59 FOV with everything. So it is true that different FOVs affect PVP and all, but I'd like to believe it's something you shouldnt overthink for now. Use whatever feels right to you personally and stick to it up until you notice big issues. Example, I used to be on 75 FOV, but some of the red dot/1x sights looked too small so I dropped to 59 to make them a bit bigger. But in terms of it changing recoil/aim or whatnot, it's not a major major factor. Hope this makes sense!

    • @nex4613
      @nex4613 Рік тому

      Tigz suggested 63-65 and after testing a couple different scopes at shooting range, 65 seems to be the sweetspot tbh since you barely get any black rings and it's still "close enough" to 75 max fov to not feel zoomed in and awkward for peripheral vision lol

    I see your scope is set to 50 meters. I usaly put my scope setings to 100 meters, when i use intermediate rounds like 7.62x39. Because when you aim at head on 50 meters whith scope set on 100 meters, you hit a litlebit hier, but you hit head. And when you aim at head on 100 meters whith scope set on 50 meters you hit torax or arms, if you didnt aim at top of a head. Also you can shoot up to 150 meters whith scope set on 100, aiming a bit hier. but then you need to catculate distence and set your scop acording to thet distance, otherwise it wil be random.
