Actually depending on the environment wildfires are actually really good, some trees are really tick and the roots are really deep so the fire doesn't exactly hurt the trees
With the fire they get kinda recycle nutrients more fast, so natural wildfires are sometimes a good thing, again depends on the environment and trees, but they do still hurt the animals
Random artist on the internet it also gets rid of invasive species and most animals can just flee until it stops
It's also the best way to clear out dead trees so that new saplings have space to grow. My family visited the Sequoia National Park on a day that they did a controlled burn of some of the dead ones. It was pretty cool.

I love how the guy is talking as if this isn't a prequel and the first game hasn't already cemented what Chloe and Rachel's relationship was like. Like fuck, there's no reason to play this shit. The main gimmick is gone from the 1st game and being a prequel to it makes it blatant your choices don't matter outside of when the writers bother to change a few characters' dialogue around with the same end result.
That's the problem though! What you do literally doesn't matter.
You can choose how you roast people at least.
at least a "cool story, bro" t-shirt is somewhat acceptable for when this game takes place
"It's a Cali thing." Considering the fact that the first game was made by a French developer, I'm guessing that the team behind it didn't understand that "hella" was endemic to northern California, and then the American developer behind this prequel presumably tried to cover for the mistake of the first game by explaining retroactively that Chloe, an Oregonian, learned the term from Rachel, a Californian. Hence the "origin story of 'hella.'"

Actually, wildfires clear brush which benefits all parts of the ecosystem.
Preventing wildfires so violently also causes fodder like dead leaves to build up. So any wildfires that do happen end up being worse.
Sure, it's just that humans cause wildfires too often for it to be considered beneficial.

Some areas of forest have "controlled burns" to replicate natural forest fires. Patches of burnt forest are important for certain species of woodpeckers, as a random example I happen to know.
Mediterranean plants, with oily thin leaves which allow for oxygen to circulate around them easily, are specifically adapted for being flammable. Fire's good for killing parasites and also speeds up plant natural selection - trees which are 'weaker' are removed from the genepool in a matter of hours as opposed to years.
As this series goes on, I still don't get why people like this game. This is just a poor man's TellTale game. Graphics look low poly, characters are unlikable, and I don't think there is ANY teenager that acts like the characters in this. To quote Adam "I want to die."

Games like this series and Night in the Woods were well-received because their character are "relatable", not because they're actually good games (with actual gameplay) or well-written. Apparently, a LOT of people relate to unlikable, selfish, dickish, cringy, sociopathic, garbage characters.

Do you mean the graphics style or the actual models? The graphics are supposed to look slightly cartoony/stylized. The textures are hand-painted. The series is supposed to have a picturesque, painting aesthetic to it.

Who the FUCK actually plays 2 player DnD!? I did it once and it's the most boring experience I have ever had playing a TRPG!
It's a lot less cluttered for new players to get acclimated to, it's also generally more low-key (which I prefer)

The animations during that backtalk with the black student looked a lot like Xavier renegade angel when he was arguing with himself. Just those hand movements man.

I don't know that I'd find LiS to be more or less enjoyable if it was a couple of punk twinks, but I'm pretty sure I'd be even more bored to tears if it was straight.
I find that writers use being gay as a very cheap star-crossed plot thread, to the point that them being lesbian is the only fucking thing this game has.

As a dungeon master I gotta point out that girl is a horrible dm. She made a boss with a fire immunity item, fully knowing her only player only used fire spells. She was gonna kill him.
As a lesbian, I mean.....yeah having a game that actually has lesbians in it and is about lesbians (even if there is literally nothing there about traditional gay struggles involved at all) is pretty nice. Especially since lesbians are fetishized so often when they *do* appear, it's kinda nice to just have girls that like each other doing their thing in a sense. It's just too bad that the game is shit, the writing is shit, *everything* is shit, and the characters are completely unrelatable.

during the "miranda's an idiot" thing, I didn't notice the monolith music at first. then when it rose in volume and I finally noticed it, it sounded like it was coming from behind the wall I was leaning on. Gotta say, hearing the fucking monolith sounds in real life is a really fucking harrowing experience. Took a good few seconds for me to come back there.
Adam, wildfires also benefit areas from over forestation, which is an actual problem being solved in my line of work. Only problem with this episode, otherwise 'hella lit'

These videos are the only way to experience this game.
I will say one thing they got right is that some ecosystems benefit from fire as long as it is a controlled burn. Small controlled fires remove leaf litter and prevent large forest fires from happening.

The best part about you constantly threatening to throw up is that we know you can do it at will.
The problem with prequel games like this, is if you focus all of the damn story on something that is purely set in stone by the original game... there is no game aside from giving us some extra backstory on things and some "haha funny" or entertaining quips.
We already know whats going to happen, we already know how it all turns out, so theres really zero choices here that make any impact AND THIS ONE EMPHISIZES "CHOICES MATTER" WAAAAY MORE THAN THE FIRST ONE.

One genuine praise i'll give the first one: Rachael was a character who existed through other people. You never met, saw, even heard her, yet you got a good idea of who she was and how she acted because of how others spoke of her. It's similar to 2018's God of War with Faye: they were characters you never saw, yet knew all about because of how others perceived them. It left somethings up to the imagination and let the players fill in the rest of the gaps, but this (and Ragnarok for GOW) ruin that because they not only show her, but Rachael's a prominent character in this game and you see her a-lot more in this, destroying what little mystery and intrigue the first one built for her. Also, the first game painted her as being a troublemaker, but a sweetheart too, this just makes her another Chloe. Rachael's character in this is also ruined because the first game exists, so not only do we know this goes nowhere due to Max coming back/Rachael dying because of Elder Maxon, but we also know she was screwing around with other people behind chloe's back, showing that she wasn't as into it as Chloe was. Nice job, prequel. Last thing: Chloe's a massive hypocrite due to being pissed at her mom for falling for someone to get over her loneliness, yet when Chloe herself does it, it's ok, apparently.
