I have urticaria pigmentosa Im allergic to myself. Ive had two attacks where my body has tried to kill itself.
My cousin has the same thing. Growing up in upstate New York was miserable for her.. so much so that she moved to FLORIDA of all places 😂😢 I miss her 😭
I moved from Wisconsin to the south in my twenties. Not sure if this specifically is my diagnosis, but I used to break out in horrible painful hives all over my face and hands, really whatever was exposed to the cold.
I have cold urticaria and live in So FL 😅 I have a difficult time regulating my body temp and when that happens here come the hives. And I also have to bundle up more than the average person. So I definitely understand y’all.
Unfortunately because it’s so rare, there’s no research being done into it for the most part
This condition seems incredibly unbearable for the child & the parents 😢❤ my heart goes out to them.
Having urticaria is already terrible. I have to take medicine every 3 days otherwise it's hard to sleep but this baby's situation is far worst than mine. I hope someone can find a cure to her illness. 🙏🏼
This is so sad. I hope she gets to live a full wonderful life somehow
I pray they find a cure. I am allergic to the cold, I cant eat or drink anything cold or have my body temperature drop, it causes anaphylaxis. My prayers go out to this precious little girl. I truly understand.
best wishes to you and this girl 💜
Likely no cure. Most likely caused by vaccinations but they won't say that to people. I have Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria so I feel you.
Wow what a coincidence! I also have cold urticaria anaphylaxis but I also go into hypovolemic shock. Best wishes to you
Whats the coldest temperature you can digest? If you dont mind me asking
I also had this for some reason u was a weird Child but im cured now
My niece suffered from this as a baby and toddler. Her body would develop massive welt-like rashes, and blisters. When she cried, her face looked like she'd been beaten. It took my sister nearly a year to get a diagnosis. In the interim, my poor niece had to have epipens carried in her changing bag, and antihistamines given 30 minutes before any bathing. They were prescribed "hypoallergenic" wipes etc. My niece is 15 nowĺ, and seems to have less instances, but sometimes she gets a flare, and it's an epipen moment. 😮
Wow this is scary asf. I’m 20 I just know I’m not far from kids like at all so this just makes me a lil more nervous about it

Dude that's crazy! I hope she can get through her childhood without too much hardship. I feel like she will eventually be able to understand her condition and then be able to help stay away from water.
Hopefully that's already happened. This was from 2018, it says in the corner. I wish they would've shown us an update instead of showing old videos.
I was allergic to water when I was about 10. It lasted for several years and the doctor made me take horse sized pills. It was something to do with my immune system attacking itself. I loved swimming so suddenly breaking out in hives from any water even a bath made me constantly fearful I wouldn’t be able to enjoy a pool day or beach day ever again. It went away after a few years. I hope she grows out of it to.
Damn that's tough. I'm allergic to roaches, mice, and dust mites 😅
Were you allergic to tears? If so, what about other things (sweat)
@@ImReppen I don’t remember ever being affected by tears or sweat. I have very strong memories of going into the ocean and within a few minutes feeling like my skin was on fire from itching so bad. Same with the pool, rivers and bath water.
@@magpiewithagamingpc1516 I remember when this happened to me I ran out the tub as a grown woman. It’s like your body catches fire 🔥 to this day every now and then my itch comes when I’m taking a bath and I refuses to scratch it it’s gonna make it worst
I am curious, what about drinking water? Does it affect your mouth?

Same, I always have to wear long sleeves, a jacket, and umbrella. Sometimes mask and hat. But to even hear another person with an allergy of water just makes me feel sad. I met a guy who was allergic to water. But I can't believe this poor baby is going through it too.

Bet the cause is not the water, but all the pollutants and chemicals in it, and the very food we grow and eat.
This is what I have!! Reacting to my tears as a baby was my first symptom. It's the most uncomfortable thing in the world. I saw a specialist in the PNW who specializes in mastcell disorders. He prescribed me ketotifen. The hives aren't 100 percent gone, but I can take a shower longer than a few minutes now, which is amazing.
Legit question, how does effect you when you drink it? I know humans have to have water to survive. How do you get your water intake?
@melindahopejohnson7434 It will only effect the skin

In 1977 I was working at a hospital in Texas. Our head nurse was allergic to water. She said she used a special lotion instead of water. I was so surprised. I had never heard of this possibility before. I pray you find all the help and information you need. Prayers for healing.
As a retired nurse who had my training in the dark ages, I had NEVER heard of this allergy! I can’t even imagine!
How does one survive without drinking water tho? That's scary.
Same here I never heard of this or even thought about this being a possibility. Being allergic to water has to be difficult.i guess when you ind a routine that works it gets easier. I feel for Ivy and her parents.
You can drink it just can allow it in your skin. The inside parts of our body is not the same as our outside skin. They usually use straws so they don't get any around their mouth in accident. @@Katz_Pajamas

It seems like in these cases it's only skin related when it comes to contact with water . If it had internal reactions there's a good chance she'd have been DOA at delivery. This is all exaggerated speculation but it makes the most sense if the reaction was internal aswell.
