  • These are the most heart-stopping moments from 2023. In October, a 7-year-old came face-to-face with a black bear while riding his scooter. Alexsey Reyes and Nathan Reeves from Houston, Texas, were lucky to walk away from this crash they caught on tape in March. In July, heroes raced to save a man who’d just fallen off the bridge that connects Detroit, Michigan, to Canada. Inside Edition Digital has more.

I left church one Sunday and as I crossed the parking lot, two tiny black bear cubs came in to view literally right next to my car. I stopped dead in my tracks and started scanning the area as I took two steps backwards. Looked to my left and there was a third tiny cub! At that point I turned and headed straight back inside and told everyone to keep the children inside. Another churchgoer who was a police officer called the conservation officers and they came with a big bear trap.
Half an hour later as I was driving home, just down the hill the officers had trapped the momma bear and were trying to decide the best, safest way to extract the three cubs from twenty feet up a tree. 😂😂
Those cubs were the cutest thing I’ve ever personally seen in nature. A tiny part of me wishes I could have held one, but only for a split second. I live in Yukon Canada. We’ve had some very unfortunate and devastating bear attacks here. Black bears aren’t usually a problem its the grizzly and brown bears you really have to watch. That was pretty quick thinking to go directly to the rescue boat operator rather than just calling 911. They, and the boatmen, made the difference.
Side Note: Stay inside your car for fires and tornados.

use that's what you're supposed to do? Have you experienced a tornado, the thing you're supposed to do if you're on the road is get out and lay on the side of the road in a ditch as flat as you can because that's the safest you can be in that situation, especially in a big boxy van like how they were. Look it up.
Staying in your car is even more dangerous and it can be easily tipped over, blown away, or hit by another flying object. Those airbags & safety equipment aren't gonna do anything and weren't built with a tornado in mind.

The couch that flew off the balcony seemed unreal, like I never knew wind was strong enough to make a couch fly
