I was trying so hard to assist you in the sewing....I have worked on many, many garment and hats and when you are trying to sew something on a pants leg, a sleeve and in this case the hat...turn them inside out and you will have a much easier completion.

I LOVE how this came out! I used to make bucket hats from recycling sweaters and I sold them on Etsy. I would have so much fun making them and embellishing them. I would use my serger and use exposed seams. I've been obsessed with that Italian wedding blanket you use when I saw you use it on one of your other upcycled designs. It's gorgeous and the colors just pop wherever you sew it on. I've been trying to find one on ebay or my thrift stores but haven't found one yet. As always, I LOVE this Upcycle. Thank you for sharing your wearable art! I love it! 💕

i also repurpose clothing AND i prefer to use fabric from thrifted things too! I have a hat in mind to play with that i have not worn in years because i dyed it and did not like the color it turned out yet i kept because i love the style of it. А я зачудила с пляжной шляпы с большими полями обшила её был шарф черный с пряжи букле ( пряжа с такими бурубушками) и впереди накрутила пришила розу с черной меховой тесьмы (с кролика)жаль что не могу передать фото Шляпа получилась супер я её носила с длинной черной шубой .Шубу мне шили на заказ с искуственного меха ,но нервы потрепали как они мне так и я им .Пришили мне карман внутри такой большой (я их спросила зачем такой большой чтоб бутылка туда помещалась)😅 , воротник пришили с одного края к другому что дало перекос одна пола наза топырила.Короче не имея опыта проф.швеи ,но понимая элементарные вещи учила их шить .Из всего они только знали как правильно кроить мех с изнанки при помощи лезвия .Вот такая история

I have two completely unrelated comments. One, somehow I got the feeling of an icky winter day, cozy inside doing crafts. You said it, but I felt it as well! So cozy. Second, on bucket hats. Thought readers might be amused. I went to a rural village in Kenya last August. My dear wonderful husband had died there while teaching pastors and speaking to congregations. So I was part of the Kenyan memorial service for him. One of the pastors gave me a pink bucket hat to wear. The reason? At a large funeral gathering the widow wears a hat like that so people can easily tell who the widow is, among all the mourners. OK, so that's already interesting. But what's funny - I'm a plain old white woman. I was in the midst of a large group of native Kenyans, no whites to be seen for probably 100 miles. Did I need that bucket hat to let people know who I was? 😆
