Hey Matt. Earlier today, I was wondering when you'd release another video, so I was glad when this one came up. I just want to thank you for your expository videos. Your class on guesstimation helped me ace an interview and get a new job. Don't be overwhelmed by anything, (the rut will soon pass and you'll get in the flow again). Don't forget you're doing great, and it gets better. All the best.
David - first of all, huge congrats on the new job and I'm so glad to hear you found the videos helpful! Appreciate you taking the time to write this kind comment.
Hey Matt, its been a while I'm watching your videos. Whenever I feel like I'm not productive enough I watch one of your videos again. There's a lot of positive energy which helps me to drive to work on myself. Thank you so much for making these videos Matt!!
Sup Matt - I’ve watched you for a while now. You are some years younger than me, but I still see value in what you share. The “rut” will pass for sure, and most likely even stems from your ambitiousness / perfectionist mindset of wanting more or to do better. I think this type of format is great - a bit about current work life / priorities (strategy doc for example), then a short simple tip / trick / hack (the 1:1 agenda piece), and then just whatever else you feel like sharing. We can tell you put effort into the content, and yes it’s probably not to everyone’s taste, but you have an audience for sure. Keep your head up 👊🏽
I appreciate the time it took you to write up this comment! Thanks for the kind words, I think you’re right about the perfectionist mindset making it difficult to appreciate things. Something I’m trying to do more is appreciate the present as it is - there will always be more work waiting for me or another shiny goal on the horizon.
Hey Matt, I’ve been watching your videos for a while now. Your content has been instrumental in my career change from tech to consulting. Thank you so much for making these videos! Looking forward to joining your private community soon!
Hey Matt, I am planning to pursue masters in business analytics from Australia, could you please give me some tips, how can i go into mangement consulting after pursuing MSBA!
Do you ever struggle with fomo or urges to enjoy life and date around? Not too long ago, in my 20s I was finally earning a decent amount, was in my best shape, and couldn’t wait to hang out and meet girls every weekend. It all seemed so important at the time, but looking back it was meaningless. A lot of people fall into this trap of all the lures that having money while you’re young afford you but you slowly start to neglect your career.
