There are a few channels that I watch that I've always thought would be great if used in a classroom bc they would hold the kids attention and make the subject matter not only seem real, but fun. Yours is one, and don't laugh (or do, his content is hilarious) but Ze Frank is another.
I do appreciate the interjection with alternatives to what people say to demonize Masko. Women get a lot of shit in history's retelling, especially when it's in relation to a powerful man.

Why do we even bother writing new dramas anymore when we can just steal them from Japan at this point. There's probably 50 years of quality dramas that can be made from the history of Japan at this point
Honestly? Tis stupidly easy to fall off a horse. Their flighty selves drop and run forward to get away from potential predator (or a plastic bag) and your stationary body flips to horizontal then upside-down, and the only option is to let gravity pull your askew form 'downward'.
Not gonna lie a really great interesting story of a really complex and intriguing woman. I really love Masako to be honest, her entire journey is very much filled with a lot of hardships and challenges. Her dynamic with her brother is just really awesome and the whole crazy politics is insane. And I'm just so surprised and also really expected that people literally called her jealous when she found her husband was cheating on her and the fact that they thought that a woman who saw her husband was having an affair it would be jealousy because she was jealous of the other woman but they didn't think that she was completely betrayed by her own husband and they thought that she would just be silent but No Masako did 180 on that which I absolutely love I wish that she punished Yoritomo but at the time woman weren't allowed to do anything other than being a housewife and unfortunately be dependent on the husband so it makes sense that why she didn't attack Yoritomo which if she did I would literally be cheering for her. And it is also very hypocritical of people to not blame Yoritomo for cheating and make his lover pregnant while he was married because they think that it is in men's nature to cheat and sleep around because he is a Man and get no blame for it but if a woman does that people would call her promiscuous, they will think that she is a bad woman who was unfaithful to her husband but they will not give the same treatment to a man and this is still going on to this day and it is very very hypocritical and always makes my blood. But it is also expected that Japan has literally a reputation to being a country that cheating is literally normalized which is itself is bad and if people from the past put men accountable for their behavior then things could have been different today but.
