I'm slowly getting deaf, but in my good days, I come to hear for one last time this masterpiece.
Wishing you many good days.

🖤🖤🖤
Sometimes I come here to cry.
This version… this specific performance, this one… is simply spectacular.
Yeah I way prefer it to the official vidio.Usually I don't like listening to recorded live prefotnances because the soundings so shite (unless I'm actually there of course - love live music in the flesh ! ) > but this is an exception
holy sh*t! it doesn't get much better than this, kids.
Nick Cave is the definition of cool.
Mike Coduto I agree. If the man spilled a drink on something, that something becomes cooler for it.
Just for the mere fact that this record might be his best. Higgs Boson Blues is the darkest song ever. But this is the best on the record. On the same level as From Her to Eternity
Song of Joy (from Murder Ballads) is much, much darker. But this song is damn near perfect.
Michael De Ianni this song is perfection, along with Higgs Bossom Blues, but I like Let Love In and Murder Ballads the most of their albums.
The only one that I’ve never heard is Nocturana, or whatever it’s called; I love them all.
If this guy isn't a genius, then no-one is.
You right man is a genius
@Rolman80 80 Mate this comment was a massive rollercoaster
@Rolman80 80 Thanks for the diatribe Captain Buzzkill, but Nick Cave is most certainly an artistic and creative genius. Yeah OK the word gets overused and "thrown around a lot" but sometimes it's actually true and warranted.
He is not a genius , he is Nick Cave, to say the least ;-)
u r right no one is a genius, but this is banger af
I'm 50 and I've followed this gentleman since I was a teenager, and I'm not tired of listening to him.
and see.
Same here Laurenco I’m 55 still watching and waiting for next tour
good comment dude...me too since birthday party junkyard days
have you been to see this live
@@andrej4248 no but id love to
Same and I'm 54!
Goosebumps all over my body. This is the most ethereal presentation I've ever seen and I cannot stop crying every time I see it again.
Every girl in the audience fancies him. Look at their eyes. What a legend.
I think half the guys do too. - ha ha. man crush!
The passion and soul in this performance is absolutely incredible.
I may have watched this performance dozens of times. It’s one of the most impressive and genius performances I’ve seen. Just watch the audience as he, Ellis and the Seeds blow the crowd away.
Ь.є..х9.9
He's playing there again in Austin soon
My friend would get a bunch of us together and we would watch this and practice our Nick Cave kicks! Great times!
I love the fact that crowd is actually present in the moment and just fucking enjoying
Yep. And not filming with their stupid phones.
without that smartphone shit
One my favourite songs of all time.
i have these lyrics tattooed on my arm. one of the best bad seeds songs in their whole history. love nick so so so much. no words for how much they mean to me.
He is just too fucking cool. I would probably faint seeing him that close.
+Frances Moon He played my wedding...he is that fucking cool.
+Frances Moon yeah...think I'd keel over too...THE coolest man on the planet...and without trying
+Frances Moon
Blixa, too.
Just saw him, was 6 feet away.
That Masonic Temple Show was truly moving!
I play this when I need transformation. Only Nick .
I remember listing to The Birthday Party in my Parents driveway in 1981, My Mom yelled out the window turn that crap off! Yep growing up Punk Rock..
Shit!!! that slow immense build into that ending explosion has me in tears. Pure energy, expression, and raw passion. I couldn't imagine how being there in person must have felt
It was one of the best ACL tapings I've attended ; I had goosebumps from that performance.
Have seen him many times live in Australia, amazing, Warren Ellis is mind blowing also
Yes 🙌 exactly !!
yeah for real so good
If you haven't seen them live, whatever you do, make sure you get tickets! They are incredible
I have been listening to this band since 85. How can they possibly keep getting better. Seen them about 20 times. This performance is beyond words. Breathtaking.
Nick and the band are taking this song to another level on the 2017 tour :)
Lucky!, I've only seen them twice and I feel very lucky myself to have done so.
I would die to see them once 😭
@@agstinacueva1673 not dead yet....
@@johnarundell7951WX XD ww
She had a history but she’s got no past- brilliant lyric in an incredible song.
People always like 'the old stuff better than the new stuff' but this track is absolutely one of NC&TBS live tracks. Up there with the very best of his work.
Cass Moore aaaaaa
this audience sucks though. They're like manequinns
Cass Moore Yes M8 this song is off the scale
I'm not familiar with his work, but I can't imagine a better song than this one. It's just cathartic, undestructible, DEATHLESS.
i just got into his music and PTSA/ST/Ghosteen are my favorites , probably because they are the first ones i listened to
just imagine standing in the crowd, enjoying the surreal experience that is this band, being totally spaced out by the importance of the moment, and then all of a sudden Nick Cave jumps out of nowhere and points at you
Best live recording. Respect Sound Engineer
I was there and I am still buzzing from the experience.
I'm transforming
I'm vibrating
LOOK AT ME NOW
Goosebumps. This man is something else.
He's like some low flying gothic bat landed in Texas by mistake, but he gets them rocking by the end of the song, even if half of them don't quite know what to do.
I'm from Canada but apparently Austin is actually a pretty hip town. I've heard there's a saying that goes something like 'Austin is a cool town, it's just too bad it's surrounded by Texas.'
Muhahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahaha
I hear too many good things about Austin. My cousins live in San Antonio but they say they go to Austin whenever they want to have some fun and cruise around. 😮
@@conorlynch2879 Yes, though I have never been there , a few years ago I met a fellow on a flight from North Carolina to London who was sat next to me and he studied at a university in Austin and was taking a trip home to London. We talked for a while. I meant no disrespect to the city of Austin. The furthest west I've been is Tennessee which was beautiful. It was just great seeing the reaction of the people .
@@lunaderacine Yes, I replied to another person , Conor Lynch, above. I am certain Austin is a wonderful city. It is just the way the audience got so exhilarated as the song progressed. They obviously knew who Nick Cave was but it was great to se them react as they did. I love the USA, the people, I have family there too. Thanks for your comment.
This is by far the best you can see live! Never ever miss a Nick Cave concert!
100%. It's a must
one of the best live versions of any songs ever written, right eeeeeeeeeeeeere!
Good god...the fucking best. I saw this tour, had 12th row seats and this brings it all back. He came out into the audience. If I had balls they'd've been fizzing...
Damn, I would go mental at a concert like this. So fucking powerful!
It's like he's reading a story for Golden Time on a Friday afternoon. Such a beautiful story teller
I remember being at this show with my dad and sister. Was so much fun.
5:09 - the throw of the microphone and then the roll of the snare drum... i'm done!! AMAZING
I have had the great pleasure of meeting the man once after a gig I was 17. He poured me a very large vodka and despite the fact that I don't drink vodka I took it, raised a glass with him and sunk it. I have never forgotten that evening.
❤Ich liebe dich Nick ...Du bist und bleibst der Beste...Sänger und Musiker für mich 💞
The Bad Seeds played two shows in Austin when this took place and this was night one. I went on night two and stood right by the same bleach blond groupie right there by the stage. Was awesome. Nick loves to connect with the audience up by the stage.
This should be on streaming. Hands down their best properly recorded live performance of this song. This made me really fall in love with this song. The studio version lacks the buildup and the intensity/release of the ending. This is fucking magic.
To say the energy in this room is "palpable" is probably still an understatement. Absolutely riveting, electric, unreal performance.
Great work by the drummer and the rest of the band. It takes great skill to control a slow accelerando.
Yes, absolutely. Sadly they have lately neglected it for a sudden change of speed.
This is more blues than most "blues." A bleak short story.
This song is absolutely mind blowing live. The studio version is insane as it is, but it's just transforming when you hear it live. One of the best live performances I've ever seen has to be Nick Cave & The bad Seeds at Primavera Sound in 2018. U-N-R-E-A-L
Yes he is transforming. yes he is vibrating. Look at him now!
Mr. Cave= flying.
A genius, a poet, a philosopher 💜☮️
Holy shit, that ending gave me goosebumps. Wish it got as crazy and intense as this performance in studio version.
Exactly,I really wish we had a crisp studio version with the same building intensity
For real! I thought it was intense enough in the studio version.. my mind was blown seeing this one!! So excited to be seeing him live this Sunday!!! 😍
me too omfg this man's like voodoo
I was like that for ages too. Then the studio version really clicked with me one day. Now I like both.
Bow down non-believers, the SHAMEN has spoken! Best song!!
jeg elsker
nick
stof til eftertanke hans tekster. meget dygtige musiker ,fantastisk spændende musik .
nyder hans musik -jeg kan leve mig helt ind i hans sange ... så jeg svæver ☺
God is in the house.
yesss
....this is what great music is about
One of my all-time favorite live performances. Thank you Nick 'n' the seeds
Man.... this is such an amazing performance. He blows the original recording away with this performance. It’s almost like a whole different song. That energy at the end of this song is so powerful and beautiful. I’m glad it’s on video
I used to think this song was great.
Now it's grown on me and I think it's genius.
The adrenaline rush at the end is awesome.
It's a great live song.
I'm transforming I'm vibrating...
The crowd is absolutely lovely!
Nick Cave always amazing lyrics and dynamic on the stage
I have no words to describe how much I love this song, how much I love Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.
Thanks guys, you really do rock the planet.
When I watched nick in the eighties I knew he would be playing my funeral anthem then into my arms arrived and I made it my wedding song
Pure Rock N Roll I'd say.

This song gives me so much inspiration. I barely heard of these guys, and I'm immediately hooked.
+Russell Lee He has 30 plus years of back catalog. It's going to be a hell of a ride.
This is absolutely an incredible performance. I challenge, nay, DARE you to not bop to this....
hell yea, ive been jamming this song non stop for 2 weeks straight brother.
3:57 Guy at the left lower corner.
Just trying to get in touch with the 13-year-old girl inside of him. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
he was really feeling it lol
Weeplash - Nice catch.
A rather eclectic crowd :=)
Their show in Pittsburgh last summer was phenomenal, maybe even the best concert that I’ve ever seen. I have tickets to see them in DC come October, and it can’t come quickly enough.
Jeez if I were there I would be staring at the violinist!! No one noticed him and he killed it!
I was just going to leave a comment to that effect when I saw yours. Absolutely right and needs to be said because it could be overlooked with everything that's going on. When things are getting superheated, you can hear his part driving through the rest of the instruments and ratcheting it up to the next level,
Only the really hip might get this but Frank Zappa in the '60s said during an interview Just when you think the music can't get any faster or any louder and it does, where are you now Mr. Businessman.
Safe to say that plenty of people 'notice' Warren Ellis every time he plays with The Bad Seeds or his own band Dirty Three, he's kind of hard to miss. He also plays guitar on this song, only switching to his trusty violin late.
One of the great front men of all time!!!!
Nothing phony about this guy.
cool people
I like him,but he is one of the most pretentious performers ever.
I was at this taping and I was absolutely wowed. Spine tingling.
May/June 2017 tour of America :)
chills every fucking time.
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds are like Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground, the best ever!!!!
That is right
The best part is that I think half the people in that audience have absolutely no idea what they are about to witness at the start of this song. Definitely one of the better live versions of this song.
❤Love Nick Cave❤
I can't say I bopped to it but I was certainly enthralled. nick and the seeds are amazing live
Cave is right on the edge of the stage like 'Suck on this Texas'.
Instant classic
Saw him do this at victoria park a few days ago bloody phenominal
Again a jewel discovered by coincidence. I love this kind of coincidence.
No words 🤯💔❤️
Great song. I like how the lyric gets progressively weirder as the music intensifies. Mysterious, menacing, nightmarish, surreal.
I love this guy!!!
Genius!!
WOW I just realised something beautiful about this video. no ones got phone cameras out. The tv show must've banned them. Wonderful. Put your phones away at the shows people. Be in the moment.
OK Boomer. 😏
I wouldn't give a f about my phone If i had nick that close to me
Amazing song and performing 👌
Beautiful performance, outstanding!
That was phenomenal.
God, what a talent!
If I was in that front row I qould be frozen in place, i cannot imagine how surreal it must be to have him that close
Epic as always. Does Nick ever give less than 150%? Not that I've seen. Seen him live a few times too, with Blixa and Mick. Miss some of the old lineups...BUT...having 2/3 of Dirty Three is pretty damned sweet too. Love it when Jim goes crazy on the violin. Must also say RIP Arthur Cave, age 15 forever :'( ...my heart goes out to Nick & Susie for their terrible loss.
Oops, I meant Warren Ellis, not Jim White obviously.
1/3 of Dirty Three ..
I’m transforming, I’m vibrating, look at me now!!
what a song what a band, best start of the day
The final two minutes or so are rock and roll bliss.
I'm thinking about getting the line "All those good people down on Jubilee street ought to practice what they preach" tattooed.
Could have a fetus getting choked by a dog lead underneath too
+Eric Layton Lol!!!0
Think I might get that done once I turn 18
As a 40 year old let me advise you please don't.
Me encanta, de lo mejor que tenemos en la música contemporánea! Arte puro...
I think the last time I got gob smacked this hard by a song was when I heard Pappa won't leave you Henry on "Live Seeds" about 15 years ago. Damn!!
increible.
Amazing!
Sad to see him getting old. Still sounds great.
Still as sexy as ever!!
Черт побери, такое шикарное исполнение, я в полном восторге...
An instant Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds classic.
Sideral,épic,fantástic,
Phenomenal performance
Yes. This guy is great '!
That's the way to do it. Pure art. Look at me now..
