During the making of our film 20,000 Days on Earth we asked Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds to play an intimate club show at Koko in London, a beautiful old Victorian music hall. We wanted to do something special for the fans, so while we were filming the scenes with Nick and Kylie in Brighton he asked her if she'd like to come and sing their infamous duet. Kylie jumped at the chance, and a few weeks later walked out on stage and performed Where The Wild Roses Grow live with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds for the first time in 15 years. What they had on stage the few times they performed this song live was deeply intimate & beautiful, like an old folk story. But it also reminded me of Johnny Cash & June, whenever they sang together, that same fire, the same magic from a love shared by music. ♥️

Best Kylie concert I ever saw was her Anti-Tour, B-sides and more obscure songs. No back up dancers or costume changes. She should tour like that more often! Also would love to see Nick write some more songs with her!
i liked that tour she did as it allowed her to just be a singer and put more emphasis on the music and her band. she should do more stuff like that every once in a while to break away from the monotony of big shows.

Seeing as his post was posted two years ago (which means 2015 at this point in time), I suppose he referred to the following: "Cave's son Arthur, 15, fell from a cliff at Ovingdean, near Brighton, England, and died from his injuries on 14 July 2015. Cave's family released a statement on the death, saying, "Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy loving boy. We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time."" That would make a lot of sense seeing the comment.

I was lucky enough to see them do this at the BDO concert in Sydney many years ago . 15? Probably 25. Doesn't matter, I love both of them.
Absolutely fantastic. Just adore this song. Brilliant! This performance was magical. Both artists did justice to this iconic track. And I agree, Kylie most definitely gets better with age.
I know a little bit about music ,I mean I have an ear for it and I can definitely say that Kylie's voice is getting worse as she gets older ! But that's the way it is with most female singers ! but Kylie is still one of the best and most beautiful singers in the world for me , I love her and I'm crazy about her , the way she dances , the way she looks with those beautiful eyes of and the way she moves on stage and everything , so I'm crazy about Kylie !

It looks to me like he turned away because Kylie getting the whole crowd to sing along made him smile inadvertently, so he briefly turned his back to recompose himself, because a smiling Nick Cave is just not acceptable.
He actually routinely does crowd singalongs in 'Into My Arms'
Maybe he never envisioned involving the crowd with that particular song. But, he certainly does with other songs. Will even get them up on stage. But, yes, Kylie saw the moment and read the room. The crowd were clearly loving it
