it is the energy of his rendition i think he truly believes in what hes performing this is really rare most artists want to just sell music that sells. Nick isnt like that he believes he has a responsibility in his music that makes his creations so muchgreater than the artists out there
Masterpiece! I used this song to get me through my 1st born sons death 2012! ❤❤❤ He was along with the rest of the family a dedicated Nick Cave fan. We attended a concert together before he died! 😍
for me the best live artist ever... and i dont know one bad song from him and that over such a long time he is in that business... only black sabbath is on the same level for me...
My favourite Bad Seeds line-up in many ways: Warren as part of the ensemble rather than overwhelming the music, Blixa creating an extra edge to the sound; Mick, Marty, Conway and Tomas in perfect lock-step while Jim adds a layer on top. This was the group totally in synch and creating a brilliant backing. The Abbatoir Blues Tour version of the band with Jim Johnston was also an excellent version - similar to this but the shift from Blixa's guitar to Jim's organ work was an inspired change.
Jesus, I just found this version of a song I already absolutely adored.... While quoting it in a discussion about the fallacy of consciousness and the fleeting beauty of this existence.
The Bad Seeds destroy me and put me right back together. BEST !!!! I fall again and again in LOVE with Nick when ich see this version of "Oh my Lord".......AMAZING one of my Favorite....My english is really bad,damned...
I thought I’d take a walk today It’s a mistake I sometimes make My children lay asleep in bed My wife lay wide-awake I kissed her softly on the brow I tried not to make a sound But with stony eyes she looked at me And gently squeezed my hand Call it a premonition, call it a crazy vision Call it intuition, something learned from mother But when she looked up at me , I could clearly see The Sword of Damocles hanging directly above her Oh lord Oh my lord Oh lord How have I offended thee?
He wouldn't accept an award the Australian music industry wanted to give him a few years ago because it did not recognise The Bad Seeds. At the time he said he would be nothing without them so he refused it.
De l'immense Nick Cave: du rock délicieux qui monte crescendo, crescendo pour finir en apothéose! Tout ce qui caractérise le plus grand des songwriter rock de tout (tous) les temps! En toute objectivité il va de soi. rock
WE NEED A CONCERT LIKE THIS IN SOUTH AMERICA, A MEAN JUST COME ROCK MUSICIANS , ART MUSIC LIKE THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSIBLE TO HEAR, PLEASE WE WANT NICK CAVE IN LI MA PERU
Warren Ellis...I love Nick Cave but his genius lies in surrounding himself with awesome people. no doubt he is THE MAN but he knows he's got one helluva band!
@andboy I used to think alike - it's about man who's slowly losing his mind. Now I find there a lot of autobiographic regards. I think Cave tells about the dark sides of being public person - freaks disturbing his private space, stalkers (when he calls to his wife: hey baby it's only me), the vicissitudes of fame (ladder your climbing up/down), papparazzi (telescopic camera) and all that showbiz shit.
for me the best live artist ever... and i dont know one bad song from him and that over such a long time he is in that business... only black sabbath is on the same level for me...
When I saw them in Stockholm in 2013, you could tell they weren't having the best night. There were some sound issues towards the end, and Nick appeared quite pissed off. So, I guess by Bad Seeds measures, that was a below average concert. My point being, it was still absolutely fantastic. Bad Seeds on a bad night are better and more intense than most bands on their best nights.
Of all Bad Seeds songs this is probably my favorite, and I absolutely love this version. I think it might even be better than the album version.
This song sends my body into a frenzy...so good.
it is the energy of his rendition i think he truly believes in what hes performing this is really rare most artists want to just sell music that sells. Nick isnt like that he believes he has a responsibility in his music that makes his creations so muchgreater than the artists out there
They only played it during that tour. It's a pity they don't play it any longer. It's my favorite too.
The way the violin and tempo builds and builds - shiver inducing!
This is the best Bad Seeds Album. Every song is incredible.
This my Nick Cave's favorite song! F*cking masterpiece
Masterpiece! I used this song to get me through my 1st born sons death 2012! ❤❤❤ He was along with the rest of the family a dedicated Nick Cave fan. We attended a concert together before he died! 😍
He was 24 years old and nine months old! "Oh how I hate them all for what they went and done to you!!!
Love Blixa also!!!
its incredible how he can apply so much feelings in a song.in my opinion this one in special.
for me the best live artist ever... and i dont know one bad song from him and that over such a long time he is in that business... only black sabbath is on the same level for me...

Not to mention Wazza!
Yer Warren slowly white anted other members now in control unfortunately
Jesus, I just found this version of a song I already absolutely adored.... While quoting it in a discussion about the fallacy of consciousness and the fleeting beauty of this existence.
Someone is like everyone, yet no one is like him. Perfect.
Intense, expressive, maniacal, subversive, shocking, attackful, pleading, without peers, peformance.
Warren Ellis in this perfect version 💛 Genius Oh my lord
The Bad Seeds destroy me and put me right back together. BEST !!!! I fall again and again in LOVE with Nick when ich see this version of "Oh my Lord".......AMAZING one of my Favorite....My english is really bad,damned...
I thought I’d take a walk today
It’s a mistake I sometimes make
My children lay asleep in bed
My wife lay wide-awake
I kissed her softly on the brow
I tried not to make a sound
But with stony eyes she looked at me
And gently squeezed my hand
Call it a premonition, call it a crazy vision
Call it intuition, something learned from
mother
But when she looked up at me , I could
clearly see
The Sword of Damocles hanging
directly above her
Oh lord Oh my lord
Oh lord
How have I offended thee?
saw this tour in NYC. amazing. HE LOOKED AT YOU EVERY TIME HE POINTED. Glorious.
That ending was FIRE. I thought Blixa and Warren’s instruments were going to catch fire.
He wouldn't accept an award the Australian music industry wanted to give him a few years ago because it did not recognise The Bad Seeds. At the time he said he would be nothing without them so he refused it.
I have this DVD. It’s fabulous

The most dramatic haircut EVER
Holy shit
from the God is in the house dvd. looks like most of the show is posted. Nice work NotYourBiggestFan.
Are his concerts always like this?!
+acabegüzel Yes! Though this one is particularly good. He is *amazing* live.

YES :-)
I've assist to his recent concert in Mexico, and yes, his concerts are always like this
the one I watched in Brazil was even more wild.
Zamanında gidemedik...
Height of their powers. Blixa and Warren together with Nick. Couldn't last, but man it was great while it did.
The Kingdom cometh.........
@registerfl Yeah but check out Martyn Casey on the bass at 7:34!

That isn't right. His genius is intangible. Live he's close to untouchable. Multifaceted eh?
But Warren Ellis rips here. Great show wish I was there
It s only me
Nick Cave:Angry Surrender
@registerfl
warren ellis. 100% badass.

Where is the circle pit?
What is this lyric about? I'd like to know your opinions and interpretations
Walking around the golf course and playing poorly
Τα σπαει ο Νικολακης ο Σπηλιας...
κ ο Θωμας ο Περιμενες παντως δεν παει πισω...
Να εκαναν κ κανενα δισκακι μαζι να γουσταραμε
The song is beautiful.
It's a pity the way he sings out of tune, which ruins everything.
We will let him know about your extremely important opinion about how to sing, don't worry. Hopefully he will improve
@@fgnt6607 Thank you. Maybe he will.
I like Nick as a performer, but he's out of key here. Yikes.
in my opinion it adds more emotion to this type of song
@@sin_cerelycamillehe sings perfectly flat. It only adds to the tension.
