    Of all the trombone maintenance videos I've found, this one is the best. It covers everything, including the rotor valve. Thanks for posting it.

    Great video, but you need to put a towel or bath mat in the bottom of the tub so it does not get dented or scratched.😁😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

    while your att it, run the trombone inner and outter slide on the bottom of the tub more to further remove deposits including the chrome finish, and lacquer. Sand paper works the best.

      @@ryper4284 no lol but think about it. Green SCRATCHEY PAD. WHILe Im not a pro trombone service repair person. I would be leary of abrasive scrubbers. Try taking that same green scratchey pad and scrubbing your windshield with it. You wont be happy afterwards. Yes I do agree it should be clean but not remove your precious slide metal. I do have trombones but never cleaned them with scrubbers made for kitchen pots and pans or your stainless steel sink that you can see the scratch marks in it

    HOLY CRAP, a green scotch pad to clean inner slide???????????? You might as well use sand to break up the deposit build up.

    You should be starting with the smaller bottle with the slide-o-mix. I personally use this, and it says on the bottle to start with the small bottle, then use the big bottle, then add water.

      There are times when experience supersedes the written instructions. This is obviously one of those cases.

    Is it ok to run water through the trigger part? Opened and closed?

    Where did you get the cleaning equipment to clean the slide in the bathtub

    • @jonathantinoco3045

      I think you should be able to find it pretty easily in any care kit or just looking them up individually

  • @beginningbandbootcamp

    It is an f attachment trombone. Ask your teacher what that means. :)

    Please re-do this video without the green pad, that will damage the slide. I cannot send my students to this website because of this video.

    Is cleaning the bass trombone the same as cleaning the regular trombone?

    • @BrassRecordings
      @BrassRecordings 8 років тому +2

      Yep, cleaning the trombone is the same across all types. You just want to take care with the larger trombones as they're heavier and being wet they might be slippery and fall out of you hand.

    what kind of trombone is that

    • @snuklens
      @snuklens 8 років тому

      it's a tenor trombone

    • @brookelyn7714
      @brookelyn7714 8 років тому +1

      It's a tenor trombone with an F-attachment, which means it has one rotor/trigger as well.
      A bass trombone has two rotors with a dual trigger mechanism and it has more tubing on top in the bell attachment.

    • @giovannigarcia6100
      @giovannigarcia6100 8 років тому

      I know that but I'm talking about what model it is

    • @brookelyn7714
      @brookelyn7714 8 років тому

      I see. A couple of us understandably thought that you were asking a different question, because you referred to the type of trombone instead of the make and model (brand).
      So if you contact Boot Camp directly, I'm sure she will provide you with the make and model of that specific trombone shown in the video. Good day!

    be sure to shake the inner and outter slide vigerously to further guarentee your chances of banging it against the tub spout.

      If you just started there is no need to wash it yet. Also watch multiple videos because this isn't the best video as she is mistreating the instrument here

    also be sure to not get the slide lock out of the way so you can bang the outter slide against the slide lock. Makes it much more eye appealing when dented/damaged and has that heavily used look. Wow is this the shittiest trombone slide cleaning video ever
