The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

I so love this. And Bobby, Ronnie, & Pete is setting it off. I’m definitely still listening in 2023. ❤
Hey Carrie!
This man's pen game wasn't no joke. #BlackMusicMonth
I love you smokey
I saw smokey in San jose ca @ the performing arts and went up and gave him a kiss on his left cheek, smokey is my favorite male singer of all times.
I was so into The Miracles back in the day. I used to have a voice like Smokey’s then I hit puberty!
Beautiful man in blue ❗️
One of my favorites from back in the day. Man, hearing it brings back so many memories of innocence and love. Also remember seeing this live on Ed Sullivan in 1969!
Detroit was riding high in those days. So much talent, so many legends!
Detroit AM radio in the day playing over to Cleveland! My Music!!!!! Never got better than that!
Love this song. Doggone right. R.I.P. Ronnie, Bobby and Pete!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose
But I've got to win cause it's you that I choose
I choose, doggone right (doggone right)
Said you're doggone right (doggone right)
When Smokey sings, I hear violins
When Smokey sings, I forget everything…
Smokey!!!
Regretted I never seen The Miracles with Smokey in concert but did see them once with Bill.

Never saw this clip before, of one of my favourite singers singing one of my favourite slow tunes.

One of my fave tracks - RIH Pete Moore, Bobby Rogers and Ronnie White.

It said digitally remastered. That's totally different.

😂❤❤❤😅❤❤❤❤🎉😢
Do you have the Clara Ward Singers
I wonder when Claudette left and why? Anyone know?
She stopped doing stage performances in 1965 due to several miscarriages. She never left the group technically because she continued on recording with them.
Hiya. I don't mean to bug you but i have been looking for this one performance from the Ed Sullivan Show... it had Kermit singing "What Kind of Fool am i?" with Grover interrupting his song, like playing the banjo or shouting "HEY FROGGY!!", I was wondering if you could upload the colour version of it to your youtube channel. The only one i can find is in B&W, and i'd love to see it in colour again. Please respond back when you have the chance, thanks!
Claudette must've been singing bckgr beside the stage.
🤔
Yes. She was in the group on the records and maybe “beside the stage” like you say.
I really don’t know why they didn’t feature her. The Platters had a woman why couldn’t the Miracles have one too?
@@josebrown5961 Claudette is an original member. There's early footage of her performance. But she did step down to start a family. She probably was pregnant during this performance.
