❤This song will ALWAYS, ALWAYS have very, very special meaning for me because it is the first time I saw Smokey Robinson. It is the very song that God introduced me through, to an AMAZING wonderful soul, a very BEAUTIFUL heart who LOVES God, and who would have major, significant positive impact on me for life❤. God chose the very best person to impart to me through❤. An AMZING teacher/mentor❤. Very, kind, down to earth with class❤. The greatest singer and songwriter ever❤. God really used you to divinely bless a five year old, (thought I was four). You taught me how to write songs with depth of meaning , songs that are timeless. Songs that express true love and that inspire healing. You taught me about TRUE love, how to love, how love should be, without even knowing that I existed. Your gifts encourage and inspire healing through song. I hope that you can feel my sincerity. Thank you from the bottom of my heart❤. I love, appreciate and really respect you. Thank you for inspiring me to live again and to open my heart to divine love. Thank you❤. Dream that I had at 5 is stirred❤. Lots of love and hugs❤.
Diana Ross admitted that in Motown's early Days it was like a School where there were Cliques and "Gangs" and Smokey & The Miracles were the "Most Popular". She was also very bold when they went on Tour in 1963 and she wanted to drive in the Car with Smokey and she was told no having no respect for Smokey's long suffering wife Claudette.
Smokey always knew that he couldn't dance, which at Berry Gordy's suggestion, the Miracles sang mostly ballads. What's funny is Berry Gordy teasing Smokey about that in the 60th Anniversary documentary.
This is great! Never seen The Mike Douglas interviews b4. However, kinda messed up they interviewed only Smokey and not the other members. Kinda put into perspective that they were pushing the guys further in the back and Smokey out front. :(
Papito_James _ i agree. They were NEVER given songs to show their talents. Then again, even after Smokey’s departure, they took their usual background spot with Billy Griffin on “Love Machine”. Maybe that’s what they were. Background vocalists and choreography accompaniment. On a positive note, the other members of the Miracles were recognized with a Walk a Fame award and bein in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
@@anthonylove1364 There will never again be another group like The Miracles. They were the vanguard act of the entire Motown Phenomenon !! Without THEM , there would never have even BEEN a Motown . Those where Berry Gordy's words...not mine !!
This is just my opinion, but having both versions ----------as much as i do like Smokey's version of " Tracks Of My Tears " , I really believe Johnny Rivers version, arranged & produced by Marty Paich, is the best version, ever. -------------------------MJL, 74 y/o
Have you been taking the right medication lol not a MD but easy to see your not taking it or the wrong medicine, praying for you bro, like johnny rivers by the way but cant touch smokey,
@@dornecunningham7217 honestly not sure. I Thought I heard everything Smokey has ever done. Its either something they wrote from their really early days or a cover of someone elses song. Not sure honestly.

THE MIKE DOUGLAS SHOW WAS BEING VERY COLORIST TOWARD SMOKEY. THEY DIDNT WANT SHOW A LIGHT SKIN MAN (OPENER) "PERFORM" (LIKE ELVIS, BUT WORSE)....ESPECIALLY AN ATTRACTIVE AND SEXY ONE. THEY WANTED TO JUST SHOW EITHER WHITE OR DARKSKIN BROWN MEN

fantastic - many thanks for posting Smokey is really something ...
The group had a very different sound that any other group I think Smokey's wife Cludette's vocals gave them excellent background sounds.

But sure did get down .
Teddy Pendergrass had no rhythm either in dancing or stepping.

What great talent .

as much as i love smokey, the (other) miracles were just as deserving of credit and exposure for their vocals.

Love ❤your music and your music videos others singers❤😮😅
I love Smokey but his best work was with the Miracles. Their choreography was so smooth.
Yes his best work is with the miracles but him and Marv tarplin have some amazing singles together.
Love this song!!!
Thanks for sharing. Are there any live versions of him singing, "You Can Depend On Me?"
He sang it in a medley with "Bad Girl" on his "Smokey Live!" album: ua-cam.com/video/TP84v-T1Bps/v-deo.html
Yh
we all though it was time that you was wondering witch way to go
Left or right
I like THE MIRACLES better as a GROUP than just Smokey solo.
R.I.P. to BOBBY , RONNIE ,MARV, and PETE.
williamg2552 yea they never were the same once smokey left. But the original miracles were motowns premier act...
I truly second that emotion!
Smokey the only miracle living?

I'd have loved for Keith Moon to be the drummer on a version of Tears Of A Clown !
Hey there how are you all doiy today ❤😂😂🎉😢😢😢😅😊😊
“Where did you say?” 😂😂🫶🫶
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Would you happen to have any gospel footage? Like Clara Ward Singers?
Unfortunately I don't but if I come across any I'll let you know.
It's kinda wild that Ronnie was doing a television appearance with Bell's palsy .... he should have been at home resting. Wow.
Yes very risky. But giving recognition to it lowering the stigma was I think his intention. Who knows.
You know how them singers were back then performing it was their lives and him staying home would’ve killed psychologically I think
That guy just throwing the tambourine at him 😡😡
I’m sure it’s a favourite Wigan Casino hit? Maybe it’s too mainstream for Northern Soul?
