Quilting with shades of gold -# 1; free motion quilting exercise in patience - Good it is beautiful

I am still in doodling modus. So I am going to show you today another one of my free motion, improv projects. Today is part 1. I am using my quilting as therapy today as I am learning to accept that sometimes I cannot fin immediate solutions to my problems. I need exercise in patience and for that I do a lot of tiny quilting. As it is with such projects, I sat down with just basic idea in my head and I let it develop with time. I quilted one bobbin’s worth of quilting for today and you can see the difference the density makes. I am curious how it will turn out in the end.

I am taking this project slow. The concept is a bit better defined now, but far from finished. In such a case I always need a moment. However, it is always fun. ❤❤❤

Ah, my favorite color for quilting thread! It's getting warmer here so soon, the crochet projects will be put away and I will see if I can get back into quilting. So lovely❤ How do you prep your 'sandwich' for quilting?

Thank you!. that depends on the size. for such fat quarter size I just put the three layers together and the friction does the rest. For anything that is larger than that I use the safety pins. I do not like the glue as the fabric needs to move a bit. ❤❤❤
