I have always ..double knotted and compacted my shoe-lace loops to minimal when flying! A habit from my cross-country bush-running sport of orienteering where snagging shoe-lace loops in sticks was PAINFUL! GREAT OBSERVATION for the gyros with this simple-style rudder pedal! THANKS for the WARNING!
Reminds me of a motorcycle incident. Hooked a shoe lace and didn't know it. When I came to a stop at a light I just fell over. I'm sure it looked hilarious.
Pretty nerving when yer having to fly by a shoe lace! Yea Velcro, a safe alternative. I've been comfortable wearing Slip-On shoes fer many years now. So this would be another good shoe for when flying.
Reminds me of when I was driving down the Swiss Alps in a van with 13 children. I was not driving fast but I was braking at a 180° hairpin turn and when I hit the brakes the first time, a bottle of carbonated water on the seat behind me, which the bottle was made of really thick reusable plastic and we were at high altitude so more pressure, rolled under my seat and lodged under the brake pedal and I couldn't brake at all, literally at all. I realized what it was and used my left foot to move it and finally stopped the van just before hitting the guardrail after crossing into the other lane. Had I gone through the guardrail, it would have been an international disaster story of 14 people who drove off the Alps. 😅
Excellent tip. I'm going to check my AR-1 pedals tomorrow and see if this may be an issue for me.
Hello, id love to hear more about emergency situations, like bird strike in prop or ruder cables snap. Love the way you explain things
I love seeing y’all in the air, I see y’all flying above my house in Jackson ( Fruitland) area.
