Re WNBA - what can your audience do?
1. If anyone can afford it, the WNBA league pass is $35-36
2. Tune in to all games - you don’t have to watch them in full but viewing numbers count. If you can’t tune in real time, watch replays.
3. Attend a game if all circumstances allow. Or, purchase tickets for those who do live close by / it’s in your budget.
4. Visit the website for merchandise - purchase it if you can.
5. Click on the pre-post game articles and/or UA-cam videos - leave comments.
6. Keep talking about it.
isn't it crazy how all you have to do to get women interested in something is show us a woman doing it? i randomly bought tickets to my first WNBA game this month. been trying to figure out how to stream games at home. thank u!

I agree about the death day. On the anniversary of my dogs death everyone kept messaging to say sorry it’s a hard day. I didn’t even realise it was a year ago. So I was just living my day and healing, and all through the day people kept reminding me of what an earth shattering day that was a year ago. I wanted to forget. 😕

it's good to see pants again! i kinda wish renee could be a guest in an ep bc it is kinda chaotic with just you guys so i imagine you + renee rap we'll just laugh the whole episode. also when kate was talking about being teased at basketball and later on leisha talking about being competitive it just reminded me of that L word episode where shane and alice played this hilarious basketball game against papi 😂

You guys have an interesting dynamic. I noticed that leisha will often say something provocative or even somewhat critical of a quirk in Kate's personality and Kate will just let it slide off her back. She changes the subject and doesn't take the bait. We can all learn this lesson to not react. One has to wonder about the psychological motivation underneath. Is it insecurity or a desire for retribution for a perceived slight or is it an effort to feel superior or? To Leisha's credit, she usually backs down pretty quickly and doesn't push it.
It's interesting too about needing to change your room around when you get bored. It could be boredom or it could be a need to assert control over your environment when you don't feel like you have control elsewhere. It could be stress reduction or it could be an expression of your creativity or a way to seek social validation. Our space is often a reflection of ourselves and we want others to see who we are. It's just interesting to explore the motivations that we have and see what's driving it.

Love the podcast! Like someone else said regarding the WNBA, people just have to watch more and go to games for their pay to go up. Of course men’s basketball players get paid more because it is wildly more popular. Way more people attend men’s NBA games and buy merchandise. Hopefully now with the hype of Caitlin Clark and people starting to pay more attention they can start to get paid more.
I used to play basketball but was more interested in looking around than.playing 😂 thanks Kate and Leisha ❤

I’m from Seattle and played all sports. Basketball is awesome! I live in Australia now and they have Netball. Now that’s a hard sport. Check it out. I tried it once. I was told it was like basketball. Not! I almost died. It was so different and hard. 🏀🏀🏀🏀

Leish is right about siblings. And being the oldest daughter... with a younger brother is about as terrible as it gets. You don't have a sister to hang out with, you don't have a brother to look out for you. You're essentially their other mother who tries to beat the built in coddling (because boys get coddled, specifically the younger ones) out of them but it doesn't work because - surprise - you're not their mother. Hell, Kate was lucky being an only child as far as I am concerned. End of sibling dynamics rant 🤪😂

Not saying it's the right thing to do, especially when y'all came back, but many people leave after halftime if the game isn't exciting or they leave early to beat traffic. Perhaps the people who moved in thought you'd left the game for the night and were embarrassed to see they were wrong 🤔 🤷♂️ if so, they should have just explained and given you your seats back. If they lost their own seat, too bad. They took a gamble and lost. Just my thoughts.
Women's basketball is so much better to watch than men's. I enjoy it more, anyway. It seems it could be deemed more challenging for women, and thereby they'd earn more. But I dunno. Just thinking if it's about interest. I have no interest in watching men's at all.
WMBA getting underpaid sets society back by like a whole century
Is it possible that women are paid less in the WNBA because they don't bring in as much money as the NBA?
These athletes are confronting media bias, gender bias, racial bias, unequal opportunities, unequal funding, etc. and that's all you can say? We all know the NBA is a multi-billion-dollar organization and that the WNBA isn't. They're trying to improve their financial situation with literally every possible hurdle in their way. Surely, SURELY you know that they're more aware than you are.
