I totally agree with you on the crowds! I just got back from the mall for some shopping with my daughter. We both had to finally leave, too many people. We will shop in small increments until it's all done. Maybe some more online shopping. I love watching your content, I get to experience Seoul through your Canadian eyes. I binge watched 1899 with my aunt it was sooooo good. Felt like this year's version of Inception. I've been recommending it to friends and family but it's definitely eerie and it requires you to really watch and pay attention.

This is my absolute favorite time of year. We are all about hot chocolate, cider, donuts, getting into the car and driving through neighborhoods to view the beautiful Christmas lights. Here's to Beemo getting physically better 😺💙✨ (Also didn't expect to see Hallease on this video, talk about an unexpected crossover! 😂) (Apologies in advance for writing such sad news (in what was meant to be an encouraging comment 😅) but last Friday our most senior house cat Tabby Tubbs died 😔😭. We took him to the vet on Tuesday, but later in the week (Wednesday, Thursday) he refused to eat (whereas he'd really need to so that he'd be able to take his meds). Friday morning he no longer woke up, and so we bury him in the front yard after saying to him our farewell. He was not just the biggest cat in the house, the other cats that are now in our house are his descendants too, so truly...he was an elder statescat. While on one hand he no longer suffers from his lungs (and lately, the crystals in his bladder), his absence is keenly felt by us, especially my sister who first took him in 😔. I told this story because I think Beemo has a better chance than him, and also hoping that he gets to be around for longer...)

There is no ‘spring time’ in Canada 😅 Just an extension of winter until late April to early May. My parents still often use the furnace in June. Hence, why we usually visit during the summer months 💦

i was at ifc and hyundae mall last week , ever since hyundai mall opened , everyone stopped goin to ifc mall . lol~ as an introvert i always go to ifc to avoid the crowd at hyundai 😅

The small toy is harder to rabbit kick LOL... but he can still bite it, lick it and snuggle it. So cute!!! I'm glad you are creating your own Christmas traditions. It will help with the season's emotions. Is that cat-themed market open all the time or just at certain times of the year? I would love to visit there. Even though I currently don't have any cats, I still love cat-themed items. And I'm back to volunteering at a cat rescue so the rescue cats always love cat toys.
Yeah, he definitely likes those rabbit kicks! 😅 he’s already gone through two of those bananas, this new one will be his third. They have this cat market about 3-4 times a year, but in Seoul I think twice a year. Usually once in the summer and once in the winter ☺️
I am so jealous that you got snow already! It has been juuuust too warm (4-7C) & raining here :( Regarding cat toys...listen .... We have like a thousand cat toys for our cats and do you know what those fkers want? Hair ties, pipe cleaners, socks and cardboard boxes. Actual cat toys? Nawwww. Hair tie? Yisssssss! (We have to actually lock up our hair ties or else they'll be stolen). We have so many orphan socks bc those fkers steal them and take them under the couch or the beds. Some cats just don't give a shit about cat toys. I'm so pleased that the meds are helping Beemo! :D I hope they continue to help him and you get many more years with him going forward! 🤞
Hahahah, yuppp! 😂 We’ve had pretty much EVERY type of cat toy their us for Beemo, and he was just never really interested. I’ve had a cat who would only play with tin foil balls, cats who would only play with catnip toys, and cats would would only play with small yarn balls. No two cats are the same 😅
My older boys are very choosy about toys too. They love the feather when they’re in the right mood. Otherwise it’s an occasional catnip mouse and that’s it. Lazy jerks 😂😂😂

I wonder if the reason for the large Christmas displays is because they felt people and the economy needed a boost since Covid has lingered for so long. Regardless of the reason, I’m glad that you can take advantage of all of these diversions since you weren’t able to go home as planned. I’ve never seen anything like that Cat Festa. And I was telling my daughter that I find it interesting that if there is a pet in Korean dramas it’s a dog, but it seems that cats are more popular pets in real life. And those stray cats have it made. You guys take such good care of them. Italy seems similar as it relates to the popularity of cats. I felt bad when Korea lost also. I was hoping for the underdogs to prevail. It’s been quite an interesting World Cup with lots of upsets. Anywho, as always, thanks for sharing.
It could very well be! When I first moved here, they barely sold any Christmas decor at Daiso and other shops. Pretty much nowhere was decorated for Christmas-but it’s really changing. It’s changing a lot when it comes to people owning cats here too 🐈 This was NOT a thing 10 years ago, but now they’re quickly becoming the more desirable pet here, since Koreans have busy work days, and cats are much more independent than dogs.
Canadians are very spoiled indeed. Moving here from Europe and there is so much more space here and less crowded. I was at a mall in Montréal yesterday on a Saturday and it was not packed. You can move without bumping into anyone. This would never happen in a major city in the US, Europe or Asia.
This is both a blessing and a curse. I loooove how in Canada, it’s so much less crowded and there’s no much personal space. But it’s also super annoying that everything is so spaced out, so it takes forever to get from place to place, and you can’t survive without owning a car.
@@2hearts1seoul Exactly. Canada is so underpopulated that they don't invest in infrastructure to suburbs and rural areas. I grew up in a rural village in Italy and there is a little piazza with a coffee shop and other little spots to congregate. I work in rural Canada and live in Montreal and there isn't a Tim Horton's in sight😂 where I work. It is dead and boring. I could never live in rural Canada but never had an issue living in rural Europe. Everything is closer and easier to get to even without a vehicle.
You hit the nail on the head 😩 I’m so used to being able to walk pretty much anywhere in Seoul (OR take fast and reliable public transportation to get to where I need to). This is pretty much impossible in Canada.
Aside from filling in a couple of sparse areas with a pencil, this is just how my eyebrows are~ I lucked out in the eyebrow department, but I have super thin, fine hair, so I guess it balances out 😅

(Apologies in advance for writing such sad news (in what was meant to be an encouraging comment 😅) but last Friday our most senior house cat Tabby Tubbs died 😔😭. We took him to the vet on Tuesday, but later in the week (Wednesday, Thursday) he refused to eat (whereas he'd really need to so that he'd be able to take his meds). Friday morning he no longer woke up, and so we bury him in the front yard after saying to him our farewell. He was not just the biggest cat in the house, the other cats that are now in our house are his descendants too, so truly...he was an elder statescat. While on one hand he no longer suffers from his lungs (and lately, the crystals in his bladder), his absence is keenly felt by us, especially my sister who first took him in 😔. I told this story because I think Beemo has a better chance than him, and also hoping that he gets to be around for longer...)

Today I gave a little mouse to my friend's cat, which I crotchet and I'm so glad that he loves it. It grabbed like a real predator 😆

There is no ‘spring time’ in Canada 😅 Just an extension of winter until late April to early May. My parents still often use the furnace in June. Hence, why we usually visit during the summer months 💦

i was at ifc and hyundae mall last week , ever since hyundai mall opened , everyone stopped goin to ifc mall . lol~ as an introvert i always go to ifc to avoid the crowd at hyundai 😅
We popped by IFC Mall too, but were super disappointed, because they didn’t have their usual huge Christmas tree. It’s like they didn’t even try 🙃

Is that cat-themed market open all the time or just at certain times of the year? I would love to visit there. Even though I currently don't have any cats, I still love cat-themed items. And I'm back to volunteering at a cat rescue so the rescue cats always love cat toys.

They have this cat market about 3-4 times a year, but in Seoul I think twice a year. Usually once in the summer and once in the winter ☺️

Regarding cat toys...listen .... We have like a thousand cat toys for our cats and do you know what those fkers want? Hair ties, pipe cleaners, socks and cardboard boxes. Actual cat toys? Nawwww. Hair tie? Yisssssss! (We have to actually lock up our hair ties or else they'll be stolen). We have so many orphan socks bc those fkers steal them and take them under the couch or the beds. Some cats just don't give a shit about cat toys.

Hahahah, yuppp! 😂 We’ve had pretty much EVERY type of cat toy their us for Beemo, and he was just never really interested. I’ve had a cat who would only play with tin foil balls, cats who would only play with catnip toys, and cats would would only play with small yarn balls. No two cats are the same 😅

I wonder if the reason for the large Christmas displays is because they felt people and the economy needed a boost since Covid has lingered for so long. Regardless of the reason, I’m glad that you can take advantage of all of these diversions since you weren’t able to go home as planned. I’ve never seen anything like that Cat Festa. And I was telling my daughter that I find it interesting that if there is a pet in Korean dramas it’s a dog, but it seems that cats are more popular pets in real life. And those stray cats have it made. You guys take such good care of them. Italy seems similar as it relates to the popularity of cats. I felt bad when Korea lost also. I was hoping for the underdogs to prevail. It’s been quite an interesting World Cup with lots of upsets. Anywho, as always, thanks for sharing.
It could very well be! When I first moved here, they barely sold any Christmas decor at Daiso and other shops. Pretty much nowhere was decorated for Christmas-but it’s really changing. It’s changing a lot when it comes to people owning cats here too 🐈 This was NOT a thing 10 years ago, but now they’re quickly becoming the more desirable pet here, since Koreans have busy work days, and cats are much more independent than dogs.

Canadians are very spoiled indeed. Moving here from Europe and there is so much more space here and less crowded. I was at a mall in Montréal yesterday on a Saturday and it was not packed. You can move without bumping into anyone. This would never happen in a major city in the US, Europe or Asia.
This is both a blessing and a curse. I loooove how in Canada, it’s so much less crowded and there’s no much personal space. But it’s also super annoying that everything is so spaced out, so it takes forever to get from place to place, and you can’t survive without owning a car.
@@2hearts1seoul Exactly. Canada is so underpopulated that they don't invest in infrastructure to suburbs and rural areas. I grew up in a rural village in Italy and there is a little piazza with a coffee shop and other little spots to congregate. I work in rural Canada and live in Montreal and there isn't a Tim Horton's in sight😂 where I work. It is dead and boring. I could never live in rural Canada but never had an issue living in rural Europe. Everything is closer and easier to get to even without a vehicle.
You hit the nail on the head 😩 I’m so used to being able to walk pretty much anywhere in Seoul (OR take fast and reliable public transportation to get to where I need to). This is pretty much impossible in Canada.

Aside from filling in a couple of sparse areas with a pencil, this is just how my eyebrows are~ I lucked out in the eyebrow department, but I have super thin, fine hair, so I guess it balances out 😅
