I am happy to think that Kyuho can see the shades of blue and green at 10:15 and 13:50 like non-colorblind people do. It also must have had an impact on how he appreciates food because the yellow in the egg yolk, the orange fish roe and the redness of the kimchi must have been more vivid now. Bless you both and your marriage! Edit: The dog must have been an emissary from the black pork restaurant. Just made sure you won't go to another restaurant! 😆
As always, the locations, scenery, and food that you all experience makes me want to jump through the screen when you’re filming it. The food looks tasty, the greenery looks lush, and the landscape so mesmerizing. I’m so glad that Kuyho was able to experience Jeju with his newfound discovery of color- thanks to his glasses. On a separate note, if your schedules permit, maybe you guys could do a tour of S. Korea with a group of people who don’t speak enough Korean but want to see the authentic parts of S. Korea. You guys know the cities, towns, and neighborhoods so well. Different hidden gems and tourist places alike. Just a thought I had. I’m sure that they would be full every time.

I'm LOVING enjoying colors with Kyuho. It's been a lot of fun and made me really appreciate nature with all of the beautiful colors it gives us. Also, the descriptions of the colors of nature helps with my artist side as well and understanding what colors are important to nature scenes. I've also been able to see and touch alpacas and llamas in Peru and can confirm that they are SUPER soft. I loved the feel of the wool (and yes it's called fleece or wool haha).

But for other people, like Kyuho, it really must be such a life changing experience to finally be able to see that beauty in all it's glory, too. I had a dog follow me to work one day. I was walking and he just came out of nowhere and started to follow me. He even went ahead of me and stop turn around a few times and waited for me, and walked me all the way to work. 😂 My boss let him inside and later returned it to his home. Luckily he had his dog tag with his info.

I want to go to Jeju so bad when I am back in Korea next year, but I don't drive and my understanding is that it is pretty difficult to get around the island and really see the cool stuff the island has to offer when you don't drive (and travel solo). Would you both agree with that?
It’s a million times easier to get around by car, that’s for sure 🥲 I do believe they have a Jeju City Tour Bus, but it seems to be just for 22 locations around the northern part of the island near the airport/Jeju city area.

Sometimes! 😂 Though it’s super rare in Korea for someone to steal your stuff (CCTV everywhere). We’re always more worried about the wind blowing the tripod over.

Definitely more practical with a plane! We don’t have a car, but if we did, we’d have to drive from Seoul wayyy down to the tip of the Korean mainland (6-ish hours), then get in the ferry and take that to Jeju 😅

i love any "kyuho rediscovering colours" moment :) warms my heart! btw, how did the alpacas go from my region to yours?? i was surprised to see (what seemed to be) kolla textile patterns (ie 17:25) for sale there as well. those are typical in the northern provinces of my country (argentina) as well as other neighbouring countries. do they have native people from south america working there, are they importing or how did those end up all the way out there in an island in korea? (my mind is blown)
There are so many things he has yet to ‘see’, so it can be quite overwhelming even now 🕶 Apparently the person who owns the ranch worked with alpaca experts in Australia for 5 years, and decided to bring some to Jeju! 🌴

I worked on an alpaca farm with many many alpacas- too many animals for the limited space. However, this alpaca farm looks ideal. Alpacas are nice, but I love cats.
Oh wow! So curious what it was like actually working with these funny guys 🦙 This farm was absolutely beautiful-so spacious and green. They all looked very happy and healthy-and enjoyed interacting with humans 😅
@@2hearts1seoul The alpacas were like big muppets. They definitely need each other more than they need people as they are social animals. The farm building was too small to house over one hundred animals, though. I was a farm technician with my responsibilities limited to barn and pasture sanitation and landscaping, which included removal of any poisonous plants. Because there were so many animals in this small space, most of my daily six work hours was taken up with shoveling alpaca poop. Intestinal parasites were rampant, so we had to dose the majority of alpacas with Ivermectin each month. I couldn't stand shearing week as the animals were belted down and would scream with anxiety. From this job I learned that animal husbandry is not for me. These animals were products although my boss was there for them 24/7. She was driven and obsessed. I'm much happier spending time in the company of cats.
Hey guys, if you read this I have a question. I saw a lot of the cats there had docked tails? Is that just the breed of stray cats, or is it a form of documentation like clipping the ears? Thanks for these awesome videos and stay safe out there!

I just wanted to say I am so glad you did share it with the world!!!! Thank you so much for that! I learned so much about colour blindness and how much it affects a person via your video. I never knew anything useful about colourblindness previously and had never heard of these glasses. And all this despite knowing a few people affected by colour blindness.

How does Kyuho manage driving with color blindness? Esp with the traffic lights and all that. And does Kyuho prefer to wear the glasses all the time now or just for special moments? 😊
No worries! Being color blind does not disqualify you from getting a license 🚙 1 in 12 men is color blind, so it’s super common! He can tell the difference between certain colors, but he just can’t see those true colors the way people with normal vision can. Kyuho’s building up his glasses-wearing time, since it can be pretty overwhelming :)
Did you know those cactus plants you were standing by at 4:31 had Prickly Pears growing on it. When they turn purple or red you can eat them after peeling off the thorns. Tons of them grow here in South Africa.
Still think you need to show Kyuho before and after videos of the lakes in Banff! They are stunning to someone who has seen color accurately all their life, I can't imagine what they'd look like to someone like Kyuho.
It’s best for him to do the colorblind test on the Enchroma website to see what type of colorblindness he has, and the severity of his colorblindness. After the test is complete, Enchroma will suggest a bunch of different styles of sunglasses based on your boyfriend’s type of colorblindness :)
He went up a small neighborhood side street-very likely back home :) He wasn’t a stray-he was neutered, and extremely clean. Sometimes in the quieter areas like this, we’ve seen neighborhood dogs just taking a walk alone 🐕

Apparently last time we went was right after a long weekend, so lots of places were closed early-mid week to make up for being super busy 😅
I want to go to Jeju so bad when I am back in Korea next year, but I don't drive and my understanding is that it is pretty difficult to get around the island and really see the cool stuff the island has to offer when you don't drive (and travel solo). Would you both agree with that?
It’s a million times easier to get around by car, that’s for sure 🥲 I do believe they have a Jeju City Tour Bus, but it seems to be just for 22 locations around the northern part of the island near the airport/Jeju city area.

Do you guys ever get anxiety when doing these "walking (far) away from tripod" shots ^^ - I would worry so much that somebody would come and run off with my camera.
Sometimes! 😂 Though it’s super rare in Korea for someone to steal your stuff (CCTV everywhere). We’re always more worried about the wind blowing the tripod over.

Definitely more practical with a plane! We don’t have a car, but if we did, we’d have to drive from Seoul wayyy down to the tip of the Korean mainland (6-ish hours), then get in the ferry and take that to Jeju 😅

10/10 would recommend the alpaca ranch! It was enormous, beautiful, and all the alpacas are clearly so well cared for 🦙🦙🦙 Yup! Takes just 50 mins from Gimpo airport to Jeju! 🌴✈️

You guys should go to an aquarium or marine reserve so Kyuho can see all the fish! Even as somebody who sees full colour I'm always amazed.

btw, how did the alpacas go from my region to yours?? i was surprised to see (what seemed to be) kolla textile patterns (ie 17:25) for sale there as well. those are typical in the northern provinces of my country (argentina) as well as other neighbouring countries. do they have native people from south america working there, are they importing or how did those end up all the way out there in an island in korea? (my mind is blown)

I worked on an alpaca farm with many many alpacas- too many animals for the limited space. However, this alpaca farm looks ideal. Alpacas are nice, but I love cats.
Oh wow! So curious what it was like actually working with these funny guys 🦙 This farm was absolutely beautiful-so spacious and green. They all looked very happy and healthy-and enjoyed interacting with humans 😅
@@2hearts1seoul The alpacas were like big muppets. They definitely need each other more than they need people as they are social animals. The farm building was too small to house over one hundred animals, though. I was a farm technician with my responsibilities limited to barn and pasture sanitation and landscaping, which included removal of any poisonous plants. Because there were so many animals in this small space, most of my daily six work hours was taken up with shoveling alpaca poop. Intestinal parasites were rampant, so we had to dose the majority of alpacas with Ivermectin each month. I couldn't stand shearing week as the animals were belted down and would scream with anxiety. From this job I learned that animal husbandry is not for me. These animals were products although my boss was there for them 24/7. She was driven and obsessed. I'm much happier spending time in the company of cats.
Jeju is like Korea’s Hawaii. It’s such a tropical vibe.

I just wanted to say I am so glad you did share it with the world!!!! Thank you so much for that! I learned so much about colour blindness and how much it affects a person via your video. I never knew anything useful about colourblindness previously and had never heard of these glasses. And all this despite knowing a few people affected by colour blindness.

How does Kyuho manage driving with color blindness? Esp with the traffic lights and all that. And does Kyuho prefer to wear the glasses all the time now or just for special moments? 😊
No worries! Being color blind does not disqualify you from getting a license 🚙 1 in 12 men is color blind, so it’s super common! He can tell the difference between certain colors, but he just can’t see those true colors the way people with normal vision can. Kyuho’s building up his glasses-wearing time, since it can be pretty overwhelming :)

Did you know those cactus plants you were standing by at 4:31 had Prickly Pears growing on it. When they turn purple or red you can eat them after peeling off the thorns. Tons of them grow here in South Africa.

It’s best for him to do the colorblind test on the Enchroma website to see what type of colorblindness he has, and the severity of his colorblindness. After the test is complete, Enchroma will suggest a bunch of different styles of sunglasses based on your boyfriend’s type of colorblindness :)

He went up a small neighborhood side street-very likely back home :) He wasn’t a stray-he was neutered, and extremely clean. Sometimes in the quieter areas like this, we’ve seen neighborhood dogs just taking a walk alone 🐕
