UPDATES! July 11, 2023: All requirements to unlock allied races have been removed. You just need a level 40 character on your account to access the unlock scenario at your faction's embassy! Oct 13, 2020: Reputation requirements to unlock Mag'har Orcs have been removed! Also, due to the level squish, heritage armor now unlocks after leveling a Mag'har Orc to 50 without level boosts. Sept 24, 2019: All Honorbound reputations locks have been removed from the War Campaign! Additionally, the recruitment questline is now given by Ji Firepaw in the Embassy.
I got sick of rep crap 2 expansions ago I don’t think I’ll come back it seems interesting but more rep on top of rep grinding made me quit before starting lol
So apparently you won’t need rep grinds to unlock allied races in Shadowlands, so that’s a relief. I know this comment is a from probably over a year ago but just thought I’d mention that
nice clear guide! sucks that this is going to take some time to unlock. Just did my Highmountain race grind and I'm getting PTSD just thinking about how long it took even with the xp boost.
Well I have good news for you. Starting with the pre-patch on Tuesday, you won't have to worry about the reputation requirements anymore. You'll only have to do the storylines, which you can get through in just a few hours!
Are you on the character that completed Ready for War? It’s not an account wide achievement. You also don’t need to be Exalted anymore, not that that would stop you from getting the quest.
went to the embassy. saw there was a green check mark for the war campaign. took the quest from the panda, finished quest line and it gave me a wolf mount. still cant create a Maghar. not sure wtf is going on.
@@GandalinGamingno error, everything is red like i didnt complete the war campaign or go to the embassy but in game the check mark is green when i click the maghar standard. im gonna put a ticket in for it.
For the Mag'har you only need the Horde version of Ready for War. Make sure you're using the character you actually competed that achievement on to unlock them. Then you should see the quest from Ji Firepaw in the Orgrimmar Embassy. Let me know if that helps!
@@GandalinGaming Hey, I have just gone back to see him. I still dont receive a quest. I have the achievement and it is the same character im sure. I dont have another max level that i have done through BFA.
hmm Alright, what else can we try. When you click on the Mag'har banner in the embassy, it shows that you've completed all the requirements? If it does, see if you have any other quests in or around that area. It might be a phasing issue. Try completing or abandoning them and see if that makes the quest appear.
@@GandalinGaming Yes, the achievement is green when i click on the banner. It's white for ones i havent completed. I'll abandon a few quests see if it works.
Hi gandalin love the videos. I’m going to buy a faction change for mag orcs. Currently wanting to roll horde for SL and have all the allied rep exalted on alliance it’s just a bummer I have to do loads of achievements! Good job mag orcs are the easiest and look the best.
I would say it'll probably take 3-4 weeks. The limiting factor is how much Honorbound rep you can gain in a day. Reaching Exalted is the hardest piece.
Player 101011 you should be able to, I’ve at least used it on both my void elf an high mountain, where I got the armor. So I would only assume that it’s be the same for all allied races
You're safe using heirlooms. They aren't considered a boost. You just can't use anything that lets you skip levels, like a character boost or recruit-a-friend bonuses.
You don't need to do that part anymore! All requirements to unlock them have been removed. You just need a level 40 Horde character to do the unlock questline at the Orgrimmar Embassy.
I have both requirements unlocked on my main. I want to make my 110 orc hunter a mag'har. When i go to the embassy eitrigg does not have the scenario quest .
You need to complete the recruitment scenario using the character that has the two requirements completed. Then you’ll purchase a race change to convert your orc.
@@GandalinGaming Thank You, yeah i solved my own mystery about 5 minutes after i posted my question. I actually never brought my main back to Orgrimmar to check. I was also under the impression i could just click a button and change the race, but in true Blizz fashion its a purchase.
@@GandalinGaming i have the same problem as this guy, not sure whats going on there. i have the reqs all done according to the flags i done those last year, just came back went to try to get the quest annnnnnd..nobodys home lol

Check the banner to be sure all the criteria are checked off. Also if you have another quest that sends you to the embassy it may be putting you in a different phase so either abandon or complete it.
I don't believe so. You need to complete the Horde version of the Ready for War achievement and you need a Horde character to do the recruitment scenario.
Yes, you can pay for a race change once you unlock the Allied Race. But you won't be able to get their unique heritage armor unless you level a fresh Allied Race character up normally.
Yeah there’s a lot that goes into getting the Allied Race. But yeah if you want the armor you should level normally. Allied Races start at level 20 and unlock their armor when they reach 110.

You're safe using heirlooms. They aren't considered a boost. You just can't use anything that lets you skip levels, like a character boost or recruit-a-friend bonuses.
So can you change your regular green orc to maghar after doing those? (With payment ofc)
Yes you can, but just be aware that you won’t get the Heritage Armor unless you level a new Mag’har without using any level boosts.
Gandalin i got the best mogs of the horde. Don’t care about the armor lol. Thanks
So if I do the ready for war as a alliance character I won’t be able to unlock it ?

arent there quests you have to do after?
After you unlock the Mag'har? Nope. Once you do the questline to unlock them, that's it.
