Good review . didn’t get tied up in brand snobbery and saw the car for what it is. A safe amg for the daily generalist not the purest. I travelled to Switzerland in mine the combination of power, comfort, assisted driving and fun when autobahns and mountain passes beckoned was incredible.. It didn’t put a foot wrong, apart from over heating tires after the final pass. I’ve driven the c63s conv, when I applied power in same layman way.... off went the back end. I don’t want me and my passengers to be scared we’ll crash. I’m also not arrogant enough to believe I’ll never get it wrong. This car blends power, comfort and tech and real world performance (ie safety) brilliantly for the average driver. I’m sure it’s only expert race trackers who doubt its heritage..... as they care.

EXCELLENT review and exactly the reasons why it's on the top of my list to acquire.....I've ruled out rs5/s5 , M440i/m4 and a few others .... comfort, performance, economic, tech and COMFORT!!! LOL .....Build quality too

I have this car and get 21.5mpg... what am I doing wrong 😢
Nothing... in town that’s what I get but most of my journey is motorway. Cruise at 70mph you’ll get it

@@GoksCarLounge i get 20.6 mpg and know exactly why ...:):) in a normal car of this power/performance/weight it would be around 12-15 i think if not less
It’s too slow I raced one it had no way of keeping up with the c63s the gap was unreal
That’s why the 63 is a 63 and this a 53 :)
Like 340i v M3 or S3 v RS3
Don’t matter cus the C63 looks shit next to the E53 plus u can remap it to stage 2 and it’s over for the c class shit class

Hi Arthur, apart from a small rattle in the dash . (Which got resolved) it didn’t put a foot wrong.

You should had on a Racechip this will give you a extra 50 horsepower
Perhaps I've been an AMG man too long but if it isn't one-man-one-engine I'm not terribly keen. The dilution of the brand continues...
Okey Ezeilo unfortunately it’s having to move that way... new Regulations and emmissions and carbon foot print etc... all manufacturers will go down that route eventually.
ah come on - run flats? didn't know that but couldn't not comment when youcompare the new E53 to the old e63? why not the new E63 ? its a 4lt bi-turbo Floor any car and the mpg goes down - yep it does. But having the current E63 the MPG is mid 20's on gentle runs but who the fek worries about mpg in an AMG? I don't. I think you would have done better to say the E53 is a great car a good mix of abilities rather than give a smirky face to the old E63 when you floor it. PRICE - yes the performance is more important for E63 owners then perhaps E53 owners. :)
James if you look at the Rev counter it’s a 6.3 V8 so it’s a NA C63. Not an E63. And the trip counter shows best parts of 2500 miles worth of driving and it’s averaged 12mpg. Maybe no one cares about mpg in these but as I mentioned in the video I do 100 miles a day, unfortunately I’m not made of money so I care haha
@@GoksCarLounge also better for the environment whislt still noisy and fast!
