The C43 Coupe has been around for a few years now, the facelift brought some very welcome changes... but is it any good as a daily? Can it do the mundane tasks and put a smile on your face? lets find out.

After being stuck in snow on a hill of a busy motorway, I decided to trade in my two year old C220 for a new fully loaded C43 coupe premium plus which I took delivery April 2019, this for me is the perfect daily driver, no weather conditions has ever stopped me and I feel totally safe regardless. When the 'go faster idiots' are feet away from your backside, I can show them a clean pair of heels with a great exhaust soundtrack. For a daily driver, for someone who enjoys driving, the C43 is the best option in my opinion, when looks, comfort, handling and performance are packaged together it's hard to better.

I love my 2020 C 43, specially the exhaust sound and it gets louder as it gets older. I’m glad that there’s an AMG lounge on UA-cam. 😎

I like the way you think and communicate. My C43 coupe is a perfect daily with all the boxes ticked. Compared with Audi and BMW equivalents and it won hands down. My biggest gripe is the foot rest size. Anyone with big feet and then wearing big chunky shoes will notice how there really is no foot rest. I fixed it with an aftermarket aluminium stick on. It even has the same round rubber grips like the pedals. I noticed even the E coupe has this same problem.

@@GoksCarLounge yes same issue here in Australia. only being able to rest the left half of your foot is dismal for such expensive cars, even more so the E Class.

C43 actually sounds good on the road ! It’s not v8 loud but you can definitely hear it & change the grill makes it look 5x better 👍

Thanks bud! I haven’t driven the latest gen but the one before. Similar set up but the Golf felt lighter (naturally as it is) but C43 is more performance and more comfort.

When I first heard the C43's exhaust note, I was blown away. I didn't think the entry level AMG that the C43 is to sound that fantastic, I thought it would sound kind of muted and pathetic, and AMG would reserve the good sounding exhaust for the flagship C63 S.
It’s not the entry model AMG. That goes to the A Class and after it is the CLA.
Lane assist ? Adaptive cruise control ? Park assist ? Blind spot indicator ?
All can be had now
on the '22s and '23s. Maybe further back too.
Just not sure why they couldn’t add a heated steering wheel with everything else they added.
What seats are they? They look different to a C43 I'm looking at. Getting rid of my M2; this looks more livable for everyday.
Hey Dal, these are the full leather upholstery as opposed to the half leather half artico (aka Alcantara/ suede) think this car is still up for Sale if you like the look :)

Had one for a while. I can see where a lot of people would like it as a daily but I think the C63 is just an overall better daily.
Just got my wife the c43 cabriolet. I don't care if it's a daily driver. Damn thing is fun!!!!

@@GoksCarLounge Not for me. 5.4L c55 all the way. It gets similar MPG to the c43 anyway and sounds much better...so much for advancements...

A35 or slightly older c43 this is my struggle at the moment what to do 🤷🏾♂️
nice problem to have :P either way you won't go wrong (A35 will be cheaper to run) depends what's important to you...

@@aiuchi101 A35 interior is great to look at. Issue is it’s cheap and nasty plastics throughout the cabin. Trust me my A35 has been in over 4 times for creaks and rattles all over the place
I have 2020 c43 coupe...go with the c43, its made in Germany and the digital dash is very modern.
I have a C43 2020 sedan. Personally I prefer the c43 than the A35. The c-class instead older, it's better daily, more space, more luxury and quality in the interior, it's better car all arround. Only thing it's less nimble as the compact A35, A class has newer tech, and then the 4 cylinder vs 6 cylinder(I still have 2 turbo Saabs, I am used to the 4 cylinder, but the 6....). If you value the sound and the feeling of the v6, having a bigger and "more car", then the c43, instead it's older and just at it's end of life. If you value a more compact, some "sportier" feel, more advanced tech, newer design... C43 I higly recommend the exterior package. I have the brilliant blue with full exterior package and night package and looks awesome.
A good review but shuddering at you flooring it through the standing water on a country lane. If you’ve never heard of , or experience, aqua planing it has no respect for awd or any other spec.
At least the tires aren´t as wide as the C63´s ;)
Which car would have more backseat leg & headroom , the CLA 45s or C43 coupe??

hello, my parents won't let me go for the c63s, but is a c43 okay as first car, and is it a lot of fun to drive ? (only been driving E400, and need a kinda fun car)
Deffo more fun than a E400 yes!

CLA45s over the C43 ;) otherwise C43 IMO
The AMG Lounge cla45s is in c63 class so no question there. 35 and 43 both entry levels so same class init
Only thing better in the 35 is the new infotainment system, stick the new AMG grill on the 43 and it looks way better as well as a bit better performance
