mixture of being lazy, lack of practice and having a shitty toy drumkit. like he is still a great drummer at times, but that little orange kits sounds like shit, his massive white kit was the best, and this one is the second best kit
iv been 3 times, oh you clearly dont notice it live, his drumming is great. yet when you just sit back and watch from a video the orange kit really doesn't cut it. like compare that to the Black album kit, load kit or even his st anger kit (live kit), the orange one is really kinda plasticy
i was only a mere 1 year old child when this was performed ... a ive been a metallica fan since i was 10... they have and always will be my favorite band!!!
Possibly you hear with only one ear. (It seems to me personally the best stage of Metallica in terms of sound quality and balance in the band) I'm talking about the live shows. I had the opportunity to see them in 1993 and then several times in 1996 and 1997 and honestly I prefer the stage of 1996, the whole band sounded spectacular.

Ladies and gentlemen, this was METALLICA. Great, amazng songs, in tune, no mistakes, amazing drumming, sound and the elektricity....Somehow they were more focused.
only knowledge will i save!!!..... my ties are seveverd clean, lee the have the more i gain!!!!! fuck his voice was amazing in this performance. bloody brilliant concert!! loving lars bass drum mid-click
@domanick189 he gets rid of the pick just before the verse where he only plays power chords on his guitar. you do not necessarily need a pick to play power chords, you can do it with your hand which james does here.

It was Ulrich Hammett and Rock that came to the show and he left but Lars met up with him later and partied with him. In the commentary Lars said it was cool. Hammett hadn't seen jason in person until they got together at the Hall of fame show. He seemed very hurt by jason quitting the band. I'm still bummed about it but they still sound great live and Robert is great in the band. One day they will be done and it will be a sad day for me. It was a very sad day when I found out Jason left. I got shitfaced and watched this DVD in my room at maximum volume.
Jason has the best sound quality from a picked bass ever ... crisp, big, fat and heavy.
11 years ago, but yes
@@thomoerle6059 best 'tone' from a picked bass ever.. but yes :)
You described my penis

I don't care what people say I love Metallica and all their albums! >:)

such a kick ass video
Lars' snare sounds fantastic in this. You can hear it's probably the same snare they tracked the Loads with.
i guess he didn't use triggers here... and it was an actually snare that you hear
I love how the band itself enjoys so much this performance!!!
Lars's drumming is soo good on this concert! the sound of the drums is perfect! why doesint he sound like this these days?
mixture of being lazy, lack of practice and having a shitty toy drumkit. like he is still a great drummer at times, but that little orange kits sounds like shit, his massive white kit was the best, and this one is the second best kit
I reccomend you should go to a Metallica show. You'll regret these words, I'm telling you.
iv been 3 times, oh you clearly dont notice it live, his drumming is great. yet when you just sit back and watch from a video the orange kit really doesn't cut it. like compare that to the Black album kit, load kit or even his st anger kit (live kit), the orange one is really kinda plasticy
Perhaps look at Seattle '89 and you'll see how woeful his kit sound has become compared to back then.

I'm the typical 'first 4 albums' guy, and I never liked this period but this is my favorite track from the Black and the performance is sick.

@domanick189 he chucks it away before he he just sings the verse. he doesnt need a pick anyway hes fukcing god!!!!
@pmanderson Later Ulrich and Hetfield tried to congratulate him after his concert. He was left before they arrived. (Some Kind of Monster)
