That was probably in another Satisfactory/ImKibitz Universe. This is the 1.0 Universe, where Kibz has had upgrades and other improvements too (although he won't admit it yet)! Soon, the events, or incidents some may call them, will only be either a myth or a legend!
On the plus side, apparently the pod is over engineered for landing on this planet! Makes sense, Fixit seems to be more about having multi use equipment rather then totally specialized hardware, as is demonstrated by each machine having many recipes. Technically less efficient with the on site resources but much better for quick setup and retooling. (Note, even the "less efficient" multi function equipment seems to be very low cost when you consider how much gets built without any change to the surface of a mine, Remember that strip mining is a thing that doesn't happen in this game.)
10:00 Only now I realized that the crashed pods are not the pods that the pioneers come to the planet into but the freighter from the HUB that carry stuff for the milestones. I've been playing this game from day 1. :P
What i found interesting in a fresh start is how you just feel so naked. I was always full of Stacks, jetpack, had a home base etc. But now I have absolutly nothing. And while youre getting the first items automated you are as happy as a Kid at it's birthday, because you dont need to handcraft and can just take it from the selffilling chest you put in the end of the production row. I love this game so much ❤
Some Tips regarding Hard Drives: You can limit the pool of alternate recipes by delaying researching additional Tiers. Unlocking new items widens the pool, reducing the chance of finding what you're looking for. You can also have multiple scanned hard drives in the queue by delaying your selection of the alternate recipe. This will lock out those two alternate recipes from the pool, giving you a better chance at finding what you're looking for.
The tiers does not set what items will be in the pool. It's what you create. Like if you can make copper sheets, ALL alts that let you make copper sheets are unlocked, even for refineries that you can't make until phase 2. The only thing your holding back is the alts for that one item. Plus picking up items off the ground seem to also trigger it as I have been getting alts for steel pipes and stuff and I haven't built the space elevator yet. If you can hand craft it, or pick it up, you get the alts for it even if those alts cant be used until late game.
If you're a little less scrupulous you can also save scum with hard drives. When you finish scanning them the results are the same when you save and reload the game, but rescanning produces new results each time with no waiting period so you can pretty easily get any alt recipe you need with minimal down time.
@@brodriguez11000not really though, it collects wood and leaves, previously, you could have a manufacturer make them into biomass separately, it you had to fill each individual burner yourself, meaning you could not be away from your bank of like 10 or more biomass burners for more than 15 minutes, and then when you finally get your ugly mitts on coal power you soullessly scrap and throw away every last bit of them, now, you just go collect, chuck the wood and leaves into the right container and the more you put in one go the longer they run, and without any maintenance from you running back and forth refilling them

That would be quite a clever way to integrate post-game systems, even down to being able to make bigger deliveries to spacecraft to keep the existing delay on return mechanic of the pod.
For the coal power, it's slightly more efficient to do 4 water extractors and underclock them to 75%. Combined they take less power than 3 extractors at full power (54.8 vs 60), and no need to do the pump trick because you can feed each extractor into exactly 2 coal generators and it matches up perfectly. The only real downside to this setup is it takes up more space on the water.
@@LalleMangaming How is the power consumption though? The aim of the setup I use is to consume less power so you can maximize the usable capacity from your generators.
@@TheWarriorXander little update , 8 gens produce 800 power, 2 water extractors overclocked to 180 water each, 2 pumps. power usage is 86.4 so netpower is 513.6

Its been one hell of a journey and Ive been happy to have our good pal Kibitz to vicariously play along with. Looking forward to this new series as much as Im looking forward to building my own mega base in the final full release of the game
Me and my friend group started playing a new save, and the first Hard Drive we got was the Cast Iron Screws recipe that allows you to craft Screws using Iron Ingots
That one is so clutch, just got it in my playthrough. Same overall ratio of iron to screws but it produces 50/min instead of 40 and cuts out an entire constructor.
Hey Kibitz! Love your content, watched your previous playthrough, and now with 1.0 release I finally decided to commit to my own playthrough of Satisfactory to play along with you. I'm really learning the tropes and your breakdown of the coal setup was really helpful! I understand, that this is nearly impossible undertaking to chew for us [new players] each and every step, but it would be great if you show and explain to us some major concepts. Like how to set up operation base, or how to set up your first big factory (your iron and steel set up you mentioned), core concepts behind logistics center to move your playthrough forward, storage facilities, power layouts etc.
I cant believe Ive started to watch you since 2020 finishing my masters, I have a daughter now, and here we are at 1.0 and im watching you again do a new factory.
Not sure if this a new thing to 1.o but i just learned that while hand crafting you dont need to hold down the space bar the whole time. If you just press space, instead of holding it, its like a toggle button and keeps crafting, not hands required.
ADA has some sass in her dialogue now and I am LOVING it. Edit: it’s worth making a large number of biomass burners, and a production chain that takes leaves and wood and makes it into solid biomass. Gather everything, process it, and even when you unlock coal, the biomass can be your backup power when you go over your stable grid until you unlock batteries.
7:50 I think it's actually radiation damage they are referring to, not amnesia. Also it might take just as much effort as getting the Chainsaw but getting the MAM early for unlocking the Alien Biomass recipes is a huge boost to early game power as each alien part gives 50 Solid Biomass.
The first project assembly looks like hyper speed or warp drive for a vessel without that capability. The center piece (which we didn't build) and the arms reaching out to the center look more like scaffolding than actual parts, so they would go away at some point. The ring parts (with all the other high tech stuff from tier 9) would attach to a ship, warps the ship, then detach at the destination. I'm sure that's not what this is, but that's what it looks like to me.
I really do hope the story builds up to something more substantial other than FISCIT just being malicious for the sake of it or something, or has some change in tone along the lines of “okay, we _were_ lying at first but now humanity is actually in trouble”
That is an great idea ! Like an evil compagny who send peoples for profits and say they "help humanity" then send an message saying they first lied but now it's true
My theory is that FICSIT really wants to safe earth, but at the time you enter the planet, they are gone... I mean, it's in the company's name: FICSIT -> FIX IT. They want to fix a mistake humanity made.
Kibs is now scared of screws because of that realistic satisfactory play through Edit: I was not expecting my comment to get this many likes let alone a like from kibs himself so thanks for giving my comment a 113 likes guys😁

Fun note about the Mercer sphere. The "DM MErcer" is a call to Matt Mercer, who's a DM of a D&D show Critical Roll, which, when you get this achievement for finding one, even mentions critical roll and has a D20 on the image. Idk the cross over rate from Satisfactory game nerds and D&D game nerds so thought I'd mention. I enjoyed it lol

I did the same thing as you when starting my 1.0 playthrough. My very first one was in the grassy fields, and it felt right to do the same for 1.0. Called my map grass roots and after 150 hours I'm just about 30 minutes away from launching the final phase.
I know editing takes a long time, but I would really appreciate it if we could see more of you actually building. I’m starting anew and could really use it as a way to learn more about constructing the things we need to progress. Even if it’s just a short montage, just being able to see how it’s put together would be a big help :)
im so excited to watch this playthrough from start to finish, got 30hrs into it till i got bored/didnt want to re design my whole factory once oil came into play and im excited to see what i couldve done differently
Man I have been here from your VERY beginnings... boy am I hooked on your video's for the coming time! Thx for hours of the BEST Satisfactory video's online!
I love getting a summary edit. If you want advice from more experienced players, it would be great for them to see the raw footage as well, though. Because what you see as important might be different from what they see as important.
That steel plates recipe looked great. If you can use all steel recipes to replace iron parts, the p/m production of each machine is way better, allowing for smaller factories that use little power.
I understand the hate for screws, but that's why I always do some hard drive hunting even before getting the Part Assembly milestone, to get the Cast Screw recipe. It really helps out with early screw production, since it skips needing to make rods to make the screws and has a faster production time. Got lucky in my fresh 1.0 save to get Cast Screw from the very first hard drive I scanned. Also, the reason you were able to get the Steamed Copper Sheet recipe already is because recipes only require you have access to their inputs to be available from hard drives. Since it only requires copper ingots and water, it became available.
It's kinda crazy seeing you start from the beginning. I only discovered your UA-cam channel about two months before 1.0 came out, so I've only ever seen you in mega factory mode. Also fun fact unless the patch it, you can currently dispose of nuclear waste via the toilet.
A new feature for hard drive scanning is that if you get recipes you don’t want, you can refrain from selecting one, and both those recipes will not be in the pool for future hard drive recipe draws until you do go back and pick something from that drive in the list. This makes it take less time to get what you want, especially in a worst case scenario where all of the RNG goes against you.
... and here I thought you were parking Satisfactory for a bit, after finally completing your "pre 1.0" factory. Well, shucks golly Ollie... all the tips and tricks we need for 1.0 - thanks dude!
Oh man, I had a suspicion that we were going to be able to watch the assembly of Project Assembly with the heat like our own constructions, but this is so much cooler than I pictured. Can't wait for the console release so I, too, can be scared of and hateful towards screws.
I’m trying to learn as much as I can through Osmosis because the farthest I’ve ever gotten is up to Stage 2 of the Space Elevator. Your funny Cable pronunciation and then the Screws “EUUGHGU” at 6:35 almost made me choke on my dinner. Thanks! (This playthru I lucked out & unlocked Cast screws very early on… EUGHG INDEED :’D )
Love this, but your coal water solution: still a lot easier to add a fourth water extractor, and use two water extractors to feed four coal generators (x2) Under lock one of them as needed. Avoid all the water balancing and extra pumps.
I've one suggestion, especially people watching and trying to do same. Instead of rebuilding like the end of the video I suggest moving to another place and start fresh, this way you have a working place where you can come back and fix, but in the time you are building you will still produce.
Started a new save with on boarding last night. First alternate recipe had cast screw without save scumming. Loving the small changes with the alien tech. The bio burner inputs make early game so much better. Not even worrying about rushing coal power with the automatic bio burner line I set up. Might try a liquid bio fuel setup later.
Don't forget as well when you build the space elevator and complete phases, it now builds a gigantic structure in the sky, along with very Satisfactory building animations to watch. I personally turned off Clouds in settings and used R.fog 0 to see it better!
I think I'm gonna try to build along with you, but it's gonna be hard due to the compression of your time and effort into these vids. You've done this enough that you probably don't have to fiddle too much with ratios and maths dealing with how much to make of what, so I'm already a bit lost with how many machines you have :p But, I'm up for the challenge.
A friendly advice: Seems to be there is a bug with hard drives, when you scan the last 2 alternate recipes in your current tier, you can choose only one, but the other will be not available to scan afterwards, nor can you get it when you advance to next tiers. I lost charcoal recipe at tier 1-4 and never pop back even after finishing all tier 5-6. So try to pick every tier a recipe that you are willing to lose.
My own pet theory on what all this project parts are going to is a mega structure. That is basicly the only reason to be sending out resource gathering missions to every planet you can reach, specificly something along the lines of a ringworld or dyson sphere. This would also have the added bonus of your project being potentially visible. It could also I suppose be going to some sort of large automated factory that can turn planets into componets for mega structures. For that matter it could also be some sort of resource gathering mission to help maintain high tech civilization an already existing mega structure, since by its nature something like that would not have things like mineable deposits of iron, gold, and especially not coal and oil.
I still think the pipes should automatically colour code to what they’re transporting, unless they have been manually painted over, would make it so much easier to keep track of the mega projects
@brodriguez11000 haven't got that far yet. Haven't started dealing with fluids... still in solid bio fuel stages. So haven't got to coal power with the water yet... is it better ??
My prediction is that we are building a wormhole genereator (or something like that) that will drain the whole planet's resources Space Balls style (with less transforming maid spaceships)
My dog's are convinced I am concealing a squeaky toy now, thank you Kibz I look like a terrible owner in their eyes now, side note, YAY 1.0 Playthrough!

Edit: it’s worth making a large number of biomass burners, and a production chain that takes leaves and wood and makes it into solid biomass. Gather everything, process it, and even when you unlock coal, the biomass can be your backup power when you go over your stable grid until you unlock batteries.
i haven’t been this excited for a kibz video since the season 2 world began
9:25 ROCK AND STONES BROTHERS
Did I hear a rock and stone?!
FOR KARL
ROCK AND STONE TO THE BONE!
That’s actually an achievement in the game. I think it’s either for placing your first portable miner, or for harvesting your first node.
FOR ROCK AND STONE!
Kibz... Just let your water pipes fully fill. You wont need the pump to act as a valve. The Coal gennies are really reliable like that
I wish I could make these organised factories.
Of course Kibs goes for the nuclear waste key-chain in the customizer
7:50 I think it's actually radiation damage they are referring to, not amnesia. Also it might take just as much effort as getting the Chainsaw but getting the MAM early for unlocking the Alien Biomass recipes is a huge boost to early game power as each alien part gives 50 Solid Biomass.
This was almost the exact same way I started out and it makes me happy to know my clueless tinkering was the same way to start as a pro
So glad to have a brand new Kibitz lets play. Been craving this since you beat the game 10 months ago
I really do hope the story builds up to something more substantial other than FISCIT just being malicious for the sake of it or something, or has some change in tone along the lines of “okay, we _were_ lying at first but now humanity is actually in trouble”
Agreed, they have some interesting story beats they could hit... Here's hoping they do
That is an great idea !
He hasn't even started with the new alien tech yet :( but to be fair it won't really help him that much with the way that he plays.
@@MmMerrifield the Mercer spheres will _definitely_ be helpful
Good to see you back Kibz! 🙂
What do you think of the new ultra-sassy ADA?
5:41 Bro took offense before ADA said anything offensive. Does this mean Kibitz has spidey sense/can predict the future? The Lore
love the idea you are setting up the first stages of the dark fog from dyson sphere
"This should pass within 5-7 work days"
Work Days
This implies you have to work for it to pass, what a ruthless concussion
The first wow moment I had in 1.0 is that space elevator upgrade at 20:30 !
first thing I saw immediately after landing was the new water textures
Kibs is now scared of screws because of that realistic satisfactory play through
Edit: I was not expecting my comment to get this many likes let alone a like from kibs himself so thanks for giving my comment a 113 likes guys😁
I thankfully don’t have to deal with that. I found cast screws in my first hard drive. Yippee!
@@Ty67514 Same, but I had to re-roll to get it. First re-roll since 1.0 dropped, and I got ridiculously lucky to get cast screws in it. Such a nice feature for hard drives.
@@Ty67514 same
I'm just now finding out there are alternate recipes?
Lmao 😂
the space elevator construction is the best thing, i'm waiting in my game to launch phase 2
First delivery after is when things open up. Don't forget to bring up MAM, and Awesome shop. There are some useful things in both.
@@brodriguez11000 i have like 800 hours don't worry i know pretty well the game, i've reached last phase in update 7 😅, i was talking about the new animation
9:50 "Youve achieved the absolute minimum sill level" "Minimum?" *power grid shuts off*
31:29 when trying to find specific alt recipes, leave the scanned hard drive in the MAM after using the rescan so it keeps the two unwanted recipes out of the pool for the next drives.
I enjoyed it lol
ive played this game on and off for a while and been playing for a week straight. you blew my fricken mind when you attached the wires to the powerpoles. I legit had zero idea you could do that.... i have a fricken biomass burner for ever single smelter, miner, assembler, and everything. My base has been a mess. Time to clean up everything
Kibitz! If your using the zipline to move around, you can just hold down the button and it will jump poles automatically so you dont have to jump on and off to go around the poles! Just hold the button and your golden.
I really appreciate the excitement and consistency that you bring to this community. I hope that you have a fantastic rest of your day Kibitz 👍
I think it’s worth mentioning that you have been sending up additional materials for project assembly to unlock milestones
I'm so excited for this playthrough! You were the first satisfactory videos I watched, 4.5 years ago.
I have had the exact same reaction at the start
im so excited to watch this playthrough from start to finish, got 30hrs into it till i got bored/didnt want to re design my whole factory once oil came into play and im excited to see what i couldve done differently
I love that the Mercer spheres are a nod to Matt Mercer
So excited for your play through. Have been with you from the start. Good luck and Godspeed!!
For the longest time I was not aware I could use the portable miner. I was mining by and. Now I see I can use multiple of them on one node! Thank you!
The entire intro sequence reminded me of the outer worlds
... and here I thought you were parking Satisfactory for a bit, after finally completing your "pre 1.0" factory.
Biomass burners having inputs is game changing! Used to need a mod for that.
I got so lucky in this playthrough, my very first alternate recipe was Stitched Iron Plates. I have been blessed by Snutt
I've one suggestion, especially people watching and trying to do same. Instead of rebuilding like the end of the video I suggest moving to another place and start fresh, this way you have a working place where you can come back and fix, but in the time you are building you will still produce.
I’m happy I get the Kibitz being scared of screws reference
Best part of Satisfactory 1.0 - new Kibitz Series 😍
Started a new save with on boarding last night. First alternate recipe had cast screw without save scumming. Loving the small changes with the alien tech.
The bio burner inputs make early game so much better. Not even worrying about rushing coal power with the automatic bio burner line I set up. Might try a liquid bio fuel setup later.
I've been waiting for years to watch this series from ImKibitz.
Don't forget as well when you build the space elevator and complete phases, it now builds a gigantic structure in the sky, along with very Satisfactory building animations to watch. I personally turned off Clouds in settings and used R.fog 0 to see it better!
I never started in the Rocky Desert so far, so that's where I went for 1.0 😄Love all the new ADA dialogue 🤣
6:44 i lost it when Kibitz had the flashback from his previous satisfactory life.
A friendly advice:
Seems to be there is a bug with hard drives, when you scan the last 2 alternate recipes in your current tier, you can choose only one, but the other will be not available to scan afterwards, nor can you get it when you advance to next tiers.
For that matter it could also be some sort of resource gathering mission to help maintain high tech civilization an already existing mega structure, since by its nature something like that would not have things like mineable deposits of iron, gold, and especially not coal and oil.
kibz im sending you all my excited photonic matter for no particular reason and with absolutely no ulterior motive
I still think the pipes should automatically colour code to what they’re transporting, unless they have been manually painted over, would make it so much easier to keep track of the mega projects
Working toilet... such a meme. So glad they actually did thay❤
Fluid Mechanics for dummies too. They know their audience.
@brodriguez11000 haven't got that far yet. Haven't started dealing with fluids... still in solid bio fuel stages. So haven't got to coal power with the water yet... is it better ??
1 you can hold shift with it, 2 press right click once (zipline)
Holy crap, I was mimicing your intro, as I usually do. "And welcome ba- *to* Satisfactory!"
My prediction is that we are building a wormhole genereator (or something like that) that will drain the whole planet's resources Space Balls style (with less transforming maid spaceships)
Yay thank you for starting over! So excited.
Yay seems like you're back to a more regular video release? Hope so. I enjoy you're shenanigans.
My dog's are convinced I am concealing a squeaky toy now, thank you Kibz I look like a terrible owner in their eyes now, side note, YAY 1.0 Playthrough!
24:40 I personally like to use a 5-13 ratio with a buffer to make sure it’s stays consistent, as there is 15/m extra water
