  • 28-year-old Matthew is a shopping junkie whos finances are in desperate need of rehab. Ironically, Matthew works in finance and brings home £2,700 a month. But, he’s spending twice that, leaving him with a colossal debt of £55,000. Matthew’s spending knows no bounds, from online shopping to luxury holidays, top-notch gadgets to the must-have beauty products. Matthew’s love-affair with shopping means he’s spending all his spare time with his credit cards. His plastic-fantastic lifestyle is a major worry for friends and family. But, Matthew refuses to grip the seriousness of his plight.

How tf is it unfriendly to ask people to take off shoes? Some people want to outside germs to stay outside

    • @mannys9130

Because feet are gross with fungus and warts, and they stink up the room if someone has a bad case of sweaty feet. I don't want to walk around a stranger's house barefoot and catch their athlete's foot and warts. 🤢 It's very rude in my opinion to invite people over and make them immediately uncomfortable by removing an important protective article of clothing and stinking up the room you're hanging out in. I have declined invites in the past and will continue to do so if that person is a shoe remover... 👎

I know and agree with you, a lot of people do it, and that's 1 of the first things that got me on the nerves about her and then how she treated him throughout the weeks; no wonder he exploded eventually after warning her and keeping his cool. I would too it's better than your shoes where you walked where many others stepped outside with more germs on the outside floor compared to your inside feet. And most people take showers every day or every other day.

Did you buy or pay their rent? No? Didnt think so. (How you doing young lady...lmao jk) That's like me saying I can eat anywhere I want in someone else's house when they said PLEASE eat in the dining room only. My wife's 3 brothers have red hair. Oddly each has a different shade as does my wife. All have some freckles and extremely white skin. My wife does not tan, she burns and peels. One brother in law is just one big freckle. He had a patterned shirt on one day and the pattern was sun burned onto his skin.
My father had dark brown hair but a red moustache and beard. My mother was auburn, brown with red highlights yet none of us 8 children got a hint of red. Two had dark brown hair and the rest of us were blonde. mine turned a very light brown with blonde mixed in.
We're a very strong mix of ethnicities. Danish, Dutch, German, Welsh, Irish, Scottish and Sicilian. The Danes came from Normandy.
We're all gray now but there are streaks of the original colors showing. My wife's beautiful red hair turned gray. She used to dye it, I think it was LA-7 Clairol but finally gave it up. My brothers in law never married so no red continuing from them. Red really is dying out.

If I was a hefty £55,000 in debt I would want somebodys help & that is after all what Jay & Benjamin are trying to do.
Yes they maybe seen as being harsh but but they are there to get results, basically being cruel to be kind.
Regarding the removal of a person's shoes when entering a person's home is respectful if asked to do so...people that say their shoes are not dirty are kidding their selves seriously, & those neanderthals that think it's normal to put their dirty shoes on seats on public transport are even worse YUK.

I wouldn’t worry about the people who can be unkind and concentrate on the people who care about me.
I think that no matter what colour hair he has he will look good. He has no problem with his looks. Sometimes I really think that spending some time with others who are less fortunate is a wake up call. People who have been badly burned, others who’ve lost limbs or being treated for indescribable conditions who are learning that it’s not about looking good but the person that you are. I hope Mathew manages to turn his life around, he has so much support and a huge amount going for him. Xx

It is a ridiculous practice! Face it - germs are a part of life. So many people have allergies and I believe it is due to this germaphobe mentality. So there is a bit of dirt on your shoes,- do you lick your rugs? If it worries you then vacuum every day. But to expect visitors to partake in your phobia, it is rude! They might have foot fungi and now your house has more germs than it would have with shoes! Get over it.

The psychologist lady said,"He's bad at interacting with people". A true psychologist wouldn't label behaviours and abilities as either "bad" or *good*. Being 'bad' with people is often a symptom of a fear of being hurt or vulnerable; and there is nothing 'bad' about being scared. Being afraid is not a character flaw. She should know that. I like the psychologist man better. His voice is calm and soothing; and he innately understands his talent for empathy can be a therapeutic tool.

Like I know you want to help him and I agree there's solutions and give him a little push However! you don't need to be constantly dishing out things like thick and stupid", as well as saying bad things about him to the psych without even knowing him or why he's the way he is as he was discussing with the psych, where all you care is how much stuff he has and the cosmetic looks he has vs you, I sense a bit of jealousy there. i'm not agreeing with him either and I understand her part again but the way she's coming across is not just to toughen him up, she's speaking down on him by calling him names; speaking like that way he will despise you for sure and he's not gonna follow with ANY advice you have to say or give. It's basic common sense that is not how anybody would like to be talked to and or How you should speak with anyone. Respect goes both ways. I'd tell you to leave me alone and learn some manners before you dare to speak or treat me like that again. The more you do it the less he's gonna open up. Damn She really got on my nerves.

My husband & I have been married for 47 years and we have 1(one) credit card and unless we have the money in the bank we DO NOT buy it! I went for surgery and ended up with “nerve entrapment and chronic pain. I was a nurse and eventually had to go on Disability pension. My disability pension was less then 1/2 have a nurse’s salary. We had 2 teenage daughters at the time but they learned a lesson. To expect unexpected issues, illnesses, accidents that could change your earning opportunities.
