Seriously, you give me so much with your music...so I have to say thank you. I'm looking forward to hearing you live in autumn in Germany. Your tour plans are really tough...I don't know where you get this power from..
My bucket list concert is coming true 🎶🎤🤩🎸... I will be seeing you guys in Atlanta.... still pinching myself, I can't believe it's true still.... Wow ❗ Best of luck with everything guys, you bring me lots of joy,..and I want the same for y'all 😎🤙✨❣️
Same here. The Fox theater will be my first QOTSA show although I did see Them Crooked Vultures at the Tabernacle many moons ago. I got a second dress seat up top but, I plan on trying to get a pit or at least an orchestra ticket. My favorite spot for any show is dead center & front of the sound board because that is where it sounds the best and the view is good. The Fox is such an excellent venue. I cannot wait!!
First time was 21 years ago for me. This August will be the 11th! 4 different drummers, 2 different bass players, 3 keyboarders/pedal steel, Mark singing his songs, Nick singing his and now Josh singing them all. Still the best live band around.
I always wanted to catch QOTSA with Lanegan. I feel broken that we lost his genius to COVID. The lat album I bought was Era Vulgaris, then I kind of lost track constantly missing seeing Lanegan , finding out that he was in Philly@ times I couldn't make it to the show or had played in town 2 days after the show. This all started around 2005. So I saw TNR was being released. Bought the album 2 days later picked up Like Clockwork. In the last 2 weeks I have only listened to those 2 records. This band is becoming one of the greatest working bands of the last 2 decades. I have become an advocate for their music to anyone who'll listen .
So happy they’re hitting MI first. In my history of live music, bands are so much more energetic in the beginning of their tours. Freedom Hill is better than Pine Knob imo
😂😂😂 "Now that you mention it, I don't have any pants on" "like, circling back to not having your pants on, we're hoping to bring the pants off dance off to the world with this tour"
Crazy how much of Josh's mannerisms Troy picks up and sorta becomes part of him. I noticed the same with Mike Cambell and Tom Petty. Mike talks almost exactly like Tom did. I guess when you spend a large part of your life creating with somebody, it inevitably rubs off on you. Not saying Josh is literally rubbing one off or anything
Saw QOTSA in Portland ME - awesome experience - great musical skills. And by the way Mike, Troy has a really Dutch last name (maybe Belgian) that is literally translated to "From Leeuwen", which is a city in North East Netherlands. Phonetically it's pronounced "Fan Lay-Oo-n". It's an impossible language for us English speakers :-) (Disclaimer: I come from a Dutch family and my spouse was born there). Peace, Drew

thats funny my plans are literally to drive the PCH after work on Friday listening to it for the first time. Something about Queens makes me want to speed in a highway in my car!
So you don't want a band to diversify themselves and evolve their sound? They have to stretch their reach, they already did so with Villains and they absolutely killed it. The more genre bending the better in my opinion, it only makes sense creatively.
Something for everyone sounds like there's something for everyone (obviously the pre-existing fanbase) to *like* . I'd rather the album pushed things *so far* that there *isn't* something for every fan to like, a proper opinion dividing, never heard before, standard setting explosion of creativity. Carnavoyer was ace and a somewhat fresh take on a Queens song, the other two songs that were played live definitely weren't anything we haven't heard from Homme before.
Troy is such a class act man... Love that dude

The reverence I have for this man, he's been and added to all of my favorite bands, absolute legend
Dude seems so cool. I want to meet the whole band but Josh and Troy are the two I'm completely enamored with.
The light reflected into Troy's shades is epic
Hahaha glad someone else picked up on that. Felt like Troy was teasing his alter ego with sunken eyes through it… or Ted Danson
Troy is such a badass. Failure, APC, QOTSA.
Also had good tunes with Sweethead and Spinnerette.
Gone is Gone..
Perfect Circle too
@@Meme.Machine that’s APC, I mentioned them.
Enemy and Mark Lanegan Band
Best dressed musician and one of the best guitarists on the planet! He's a true rock star!
Saw them at Boston Calling last month, it was spectacular. They absolutely killed!
Same... they were definitely the highlight of the festival for me.
I regret not going now that I see they’re skipping us on “The end is Nero” tour.
@@Rodiniaband You missed the Linda Lindas, then. In all seriousness, Misfit Love was a crazy opener

yes! I'd love to hear "I'm designer" live ...
I stood up and clapped when they mentioned I'm Designer. The song from EV I revisit the most.
underrated track. My generations for saleeeeee
Bass line on this track is so sick.
Top ten QOTSA song. That’s a hard top ten to get into

troys so cool. hes a real bad ass. was fantastic filling in for Dave Navarro this past winter
For Jane's? I didn't realize that. Now I'll have to find some clips!!

Troy on ‘In Times New Roman…’: “This is definitely an album.”
They have the most varieties of good songs of any modern band.

Big Max Zorin vibes. Which is beyond cool.
