  • Does back tightness make you feel frustrated? Annoyed? 😣
In this video you'll learn from Dr. Alyssa Kuhn, PT and osteoarthritis specialist. She will show you 3 seated exercises to reduce back tightness + one simple tip to prevent back stiffness from happening in the first place.
When it comes to osteoarthritis, you may be more at risk for stiffness to set in, especially after sitting down for a while. One way to beat stiffness is through movement. It's key to know which type of movement that will help instead of increasing pain.
Keep these three exercises in mind to help move your spine through necessary range of motion, maintain mobility and avoid the big back muscles from overworking. It's important to optimize your movement to make activities you are getting up to do seem easier. Stiffness can make walking more difficult upon standing. It can also make stairs feel difficult and painful. Learn exactly how to find relief.

Thank you for addressing the stiffness we can get after sitting for an extended amount of time. My greatest challenge is after driving/riding in the the car for 1 hour plus. When I get out and stand it seems my body has forgotten how to move.

My first set dissolved that back stiffness. Thank you! You have a way of explaining how very specific, but easy movements can work on mature bodies.

Love your ideas. Every one has helped me. I work on them every day and it has paid off. At 79 I feel like I'm finally headed the right direction. Silly to say because it is obvious...you have to do them every single day! Thank you❣️

These movements really help with back stiffness but are they still safe if you have osteoporosis, especially the cat/cow? Thank you 🙏 😊
