This video was perfect. I saw this on sale on PlayStation and the art style stood out to me but I didn't know anything about it. This video covered everything I wanted to know in a short and concise time. Keep up your great work!
I already watched a few reviews after buying this game last night for Switch but I clicked your video for the 2 minute length. I'm not sure if you do many 2 minute reviews but I'm always trying to find short an sweet reviews on indie titles. 2 minutes gives me enough footage and commentary to help make a decision. I'm not sure if your review ranked under the "moonlighter nintendo switch review" and it was one of the top rankings under "moonlighter review". Thanks for the short review. Hopefully this comment was less than 2 minutes! XD
honestly, i already own this game, but just seeing someone making a quick review already got my attention, not wasting 1 hour just to say "it's a good game you should try it"
basic dungeon crawl. Slough through lvl 1 monsters to buy lvl 2 equipment to slough through lvl 2 monsters to buy lvl 3 equipment, etc, etc, etc. Not a lot of variation in equipment or monsters compared to most games, so very repetitive after the first level. Can say the most interesting thing about it is the market dynamics and selling stuff.
This game is amazing. I am a business major, so I might be a bit biased. But the trading in this game feels so good. It makes you think more about doing runs, and makes doing any runs worth it. You can't really waste your time in this game since you are always making money. Find your build with weapons and then just have fun playing music and running through dungeons to farm. One of the most relaxing games I have played in a while. Combat isn't crazy hard, since you can technically just buy enough potions to stand still and auto attack anything to death. But you can make it harder by limiting yourself, learning mechanics to outplay monsters, or progressing further than you should at your gear level.
To me, I played Moonlighter for the story. I liked the fact that it had a beginning, middle and end. The way through that story was going through rogue-like-ish dungeons again and again (which were really fun). That being said, once I beat the game -- I haven't gone back to it since. I think it took me about 12 hours to beat. Good stuff. :)
Sell during day, gather during night. Work only, no sleep allowed.
CAPITALIST PARQADISEEEE
It sounds like he's doing some chore for some third party :D
The term "moonlighting" actually means working a second gig after your day job is over. Some day employers actually have "no moonlighting" policies.
Did you know that Moonlighter's working title during development was 'The Reason for the Pay Gap'?

Great review in 2 minutes. You need more attention than you’re getting
What I like about this game is, main BGM instruments will change depend on which merchant you talk to.
Great review! Hope your channel gets bigger, the reviews are good
Looks like an indie version of Recettear. Should be decently fun.
I think this game could be fun from what i've seen here :9
