    Katelyn thank you for your videos! I am a single dad with full custody of two teenage boys. One is 250 lbs and 6' - 5" and the other is 6'-3" and 145 lbs. Suffice to say we go through ALOT of food. I recently bought a 17 cu freezer and am planning to load it up with ready to eat meals. You are a godsend Katelyn. Love your non non-sense approach to this stuff. Thanks and rock on! Ken

    Precooking ground beef is a HUGE time saver! 2 cups cooked is a pound and is easy to throw into casseroles. I do the same with chicken. Instapot cooked and shredded chicken in 2 cup (1 lb) bags makes dinner SO fast!

    This is amazing and so accessable.
    Pronunciation guide for Americans:
    Worcestershire is pronounced "wustersher"
    If you see "cester" in a place name it is pronounced "ster" e.g. Bicester is "bister" and Leicester is "Lester".
    It's old English and makes no sense but here we are!

    Quick question do you not wash the meat when you take it out of the original package?

    • @katelynskitchen2689
      @katelynskitchen2689  Рік тому +1

      No, I do not. It's actually not recommended anymore. It can cause more cross contamination. I'll link an article here for you if you want to learn more about it 😊

    Thank you! My husband had a heart attack. So we can only do minimal fast food and prepackage food. I need ideas for when I don't want to cook.

      Some people do like to do that. It's actually not recommended anymore though. It can cause cross contamination. The CDC has more info on their website if you want to check it out.

    I currently have cancer and have a major surgery next month that will have me out of commission for 8 weeks. I plan on making all of these because the good Lord knows Keith can’t cook to save his life. Anything he can just throw in a slow cooker, instant pot, microwave or air fryer is on the menu lol

    So you are really not going to clean the meat before putting them in the bags with the seasonings???????

    • @Anna-gy9wx
      @Anna-gy9wx Рік тому

      No, washing meat is not recommended. It leads to bacteria splashing all around your kitchen and is a perfect way to cross contaminate all your fresh produce. Meat is fully cooked through so if you are worried about any bacteria it will get killed during cooking.

    Please clean your chicken. If you aren't able to use lemon or vinegar at least use water.

      It is actually not recommended to wash chicken anymore. If you look up the CDC guidelines, that would give you the current recommendation on washing chicken.

    Do all Americans use so much seasonings? You probably can't even taste the taste of meats you're cooking. Just my observations, no offense

      I'm not sure, but you are more than welcome to cook however you like. Add less seasoning if that is your preference.

      You probably should do some research on this. It is no longer recommended to wash chicken. It actually can cause a higher probability of spreading bacteria
