The shoe secret is so REAL, a couple years ago I was at The Rack late at night waiting to pick my husband up from work (he worked across the street) I didn't have a ton to spend that night and I really wasn't looking for anything specific when I found these great Tori Burch moccasins with no tag on them. I asked for the other shoe to try on and also asked if they could get me the price. I literally waited for over 30 minutes when the store manager brought me the other shoe and he said well how does 1 CENT sound? I was in utter shock, I was like 1CENT?! He smiled and rang up my shoes and I was out the door. Needless to say that was the best bargan in the history of my shopping history! When I got in my car I googled my shoes and they retailed for over $200, so you never know what you can find at The Rack. Happy hunting ladies!!!

I saw a pair of Steve Madden shoes I wanted on the website, they didn’t have my size so I went to the store. I went through every shoe aisle and i finally find it on the last one, the size 11 aisle ( I wear an 8 🤷🏽♀️). It’s marked around $40 (on clearance) I take it to the register, it rings up ONE PENNY 😳😳😳 This literally made my day lmao
I’m a NR employee and there are two types of people that shop here 1. Those who shop without trying to get good deals 2. Those who hunt and get all the good dirt cheap deals I used to think the same about Nordstrom rack before I started to work there, “it’s too expensive” But the good times to shop are the “Clear the rack” events Since I started to work there I never have to go to the mall and spend my money I do shopping the smart way lol I sound like a commercial
@@susanavelasquez6277 It's basically their clearance sale. Nordstrom Rack doesn't do sales the way regular department stores might, so the only times I can get something discounted is during their clearance events. And sometimes you can really find good things on clearance.
As a NR employee i agree! I never thought of Nordstrom rack as “cheap” but considering the markdowns on the items you can find in there, I think it’s worth it!

And by then it got discounted heavily but they didn't update the price sticker? It's rare but I've definitely encountered cheap, cheap things like that in other department store sales, including Bloomies or Macys (designer section because I never shop the regular Macys merchandise). Maybe not like 5 cents cheap, but definitely for dollars. As in single digits. Unrelated I once found a clearance sweater at Anthropologie that had a ripped seam so the sales associate sold it to me for less than $10 when it was supposed to be $70 on sale. I didn't mind because I know how to sew and knit and didn't mind fixing it up myself. A lot of these videos about finding cheap clothes/shoes/etc is just about being vigilant, visiting the stores often, and knowing when the sales hit and when new merch arrives at the store, etc. And talking up a sales associate definitely doesn't hurt. For stores that often issue coupons, I'll flat out ask (nicely) if there's an additional discount or offer that day. If I know what the discount or offer is but don't have the actual coupon myself, if I get a friendly associate, they'll find a copy of the coupon to scan for me. Nice people want to help other nice people find nice things. ;) Sometimes even without my doing anything, a friendly sales associate will tell me about an upcoming sale and hold my clothes for me until I can come back to buy it on sale. And for nicer things, I've had sales associates give me the sale price in advance of the actual sale. All these things don't happen often but being a regular face in the store and being nice to people goes a long way.
I'm obsessed with Vince and have gotten so many awesome pieces from Nordstrom rack. I just picked up 2 more pairs of Rag and Bone jeans yesterday for $50 each (regular $225 each.)

I know someone who works for Nordstrom Rack and her manager changed things around. Example: you found a pair of Vince Camuto heels for $40 and you go upfront to check out and it came up as a penny they have to change the price from a penny to $40.

I used to work for Nordstrom and Nordstrom rack and I definitely have to say find out when truck days are! I used to have customers come in early in the morning to make sure they snagged everything they could. Also another tip is when you’re walking through the shoe aisles LOOK for shoes that look expensive! Pay attention to brands! And a lot of the time you may get lucky and find shoes for WAAAAAY less that are designer because they’re shoes that have been worn maybe once and returned and are technically “refurbished”. Trust me. SO many of my nice shoes are because I looked and hunted for exactly what I just said.
Which Nordstrom Rack do you shop? Mine is Sacramento and don't know if there's a better one closer in the Norcal area. I found a $450 creamy/peachy leather jacket by Michael Kors for $125. Pointed toe black sock bootie with thick acrylic heel for $9.99, NYDJ wide leg for $35. That place is a slice of heaven. Its 10:00 PM right now otherwise I'd be jumping in my car a headed there now! BTW thanks for the tips darling!
I love Ted Baker London and was able to find one of the female leather strap watches that retail for $160 for $45! Was so happy, bought it instantly lol.
I could care less about name brands, but I love finding shoes in brands I don’t see in other typical stores. I’ve found a lot of great shoes at the rack. :)

FYI All Nordstrom transfers to the rack get marked with a red clearance sticker when they come in to stores so it’s especially ideal to shop clearance racks!!!
OMG dying, this is the Rack I used to work at for years. It's my local store too. I worked with the company for over 15 years. Lots of good tips. If you ever want to pick and share shopping tips let me know. Funny to hear it from a customers perspective.
It definitely helps to be an off size. Too big or too small. If you're a small/medium/large you're not gonna have much luck. At least at my nordstrom rack.
I love Hudson and Frame! Was actually shocked when she mentioned those other 2 brands. Quality of Topshop is crap (knees stretching out, black jeans lose their color in the wash within a few months) and Good American isn't that a Kardashian brand? 🙄Their products is always subpar quality and waaaay overpriced, i'd never buy anything from that family
Oh yeah I have bought several items for 1cent a few times. They say those should not be on the racks but since it was they honored the price. It was over $3000 retail value for all I found. I was in shock.

6:23 Just because a pair of leather shoes is made in Italy doesn't mean they're Italian leather. The leather could be imported into Italy from another country. In fairness, Vince is both Italian leather and Italian made (at least last I checked), but they still mean different things.
When I worked at NR, if an item was like a penny (or in your case 5 cents) we couldn't sell it. I don't remember why they didn't want to, but I had to tell the customer they weren't able to purchase that item anymore because it's not in our system-- even though it was. And we had to go looking for that item/merch so we can take it out of the sales floor.
I thought I found one of these steals at Homegoods on Saturday. I found a pack of two higher quality queen size pillows with a tag that said $29.99 then a tag over it that said $0.00. The plastic was loose on top and it looked like it had like three small droplets of coffee on it from a shopper. Otherwise the package was perfect. No problem. I can wash these on hot with bleach, I mean I stay in hotels, right???? I get to the cashier and she shows the guy behind her and he rips the package out of her hand and started to try to tear the tag off and he ran away from the register really quickly. He comes back like three minutes later with the exact same pillows at full price and says “oh, here is a better package”. They refused to honor the tag of let me even buy them at a reduced price. He tried to act like he didn’t know what I was talking about even though I set them on the counter and said I wanted them at that price. Nice try at the ole bait and switch but NO I am not going to be tricked into buying them at full price. He acted like I wouldn’t notice .
If your lucky enough like me Nordstrom has a store called Last Chance that even drops prices way lower that their Rack store. The thing is that all sales are final..I bought a $1200 Hugo Boss suit for $250.00 - there was another for $134 but not my size..$200 shoes for $42.00

I have a Norsdrom Rack credit card , I love that store. I just found some Tommy Hilfiger shoes in the clearance for $30! Shoe section is great there. I get my Reefs, Uggs, and Tom's there too.

I go to shoes and spend a lot of time there. I am a size 6 and I have learned to look in the other sections for shoes that are just put anywhere because people often times change their minds and put things anywhere. FYI All Nordstrom transfers to the rack get marked with a red clearance sticker when they come in to stores so it’s especially ideal to shop clearance racks!!!

It definitely helps to be an off size. Too big or too small. If you're a small/medium/large you're not gonna have much luck. At least at my nordstrom rack.

I love Hudson and Frame! Was actually shocked when she mentioned those other 2 brands. Quality of Topshop is crap (knees stretching out, black jeans lose their color in the wash within a few months) and Good American isn't that a Kardashian brand? 🙄Their products is always subpar quality and waaaay overpriced, i'd never buy anything from that family
Oh yeah I have bought several items for 1cent a few times. They say those should not be on the racks but since it was they honored the price. It was over $3000 retail value for all I found. I was in shock.

Eva D make friends with the cashiers, shop often and learn when the Clear the Racks events are so you can score the extra 25% ! Trucks are 4-5 days a week but now there is more Rack bought March than Main Store Merchandise

6:23 Just because a pair of leather shoes is made in Italy doesn't mean they're Italian leather. The leather could be imported into Italy from another country. In fairness, Vince is both Italian leather and Italian made (at least last I checked), but they still mean different things.

When I worked at NR, if an item was like a penny (or in your case 5 cents) we couldn't sell it. I don't remember why they didn't want to, but I had to tell the customer they weren't able to purchase that item anymore because it's not in our system-- even though it was. And we had to go looking for that item/merch so we can take it out of the sales floor.

I thought I found one of these steals at Homegoods on Saturday. I found a pack of two higher quality queen size pillows with a tag that said $29.99 then a tag over it that said $0.00. The plastic was loose on top and it looked like it had like three small droplets of coffee on it from a shopper. Otherwise the package was perfect. No problem. I can wash these on hot with bleach, I mean I stay in hotels, right???? I get to the cashier and she shows the guy behind her and he rips the package out of her hand and started to try to tear the tag off and he ran away from the register really quickly. He comes back like three minutes later with the exact same pillows at full price and says “oh, here is a better package”. They refused to honor the tag of let me even buy them at a reduced price. He tried to act like he didn’t know what I was talking about even though I set them on the counter and said I wanted them at that price. Nice try at the ole bait and switch but NO I am not going to be tricked into buying them at full price. He acted like I wouldn’t notice .

I am a size 6 and I have learned to look in the other sections for shoes that are just put anywhere because people often times change their minds and put things anywhere.
