I had spot cleaned my hamsters cage and he is pretty big. So what I thought was him burrowing in 6 inches of bedding was just him making a tunnel. So I removed his second floor and put 8+ inches bedding. I come the next day and I see his tunnel and I just pat myself on the back 😂

Hey Victoria, I recently had one of my hamsters pass and I might get another but i wonder if my cage is good enough. It is a wired cage which seems bad but it is 16.5 inch x 30.3 inch x 18.5 inch with 6 inches of bedding available. I am currently using a guinea pig cage as a hamster cage. Hi Victoria, I'm getting my first Chinese hammy in just under 3 weeks I'm gonna call it Pebbles 😁 I had a few questions about them if you wouldn't mind answering 😅 1. I was told by the breeder that its female even tho it's only 2 weeks old, I thought they had to be 5-6 weeks before you can tell the genders, at least thats what Google said, is this true? 2. Because they are the most prone to diabetes, what did you feed waddles? And did you give fruit/veggies at all? (if so what?) 3. Also what supplements have you been using for elderly hamsters? My syrian hammy, Nibbles has been showing her age for a while and is quite wobbly and her fur has been thinning too I just want to make sure I do the best I can for my lil chinese hammy I don't want to get it wrong and make her sick
Usually by 3 weeks you can determine their sex, 2 weeks is still pretty young and tiny to see anything 😯 Any low sugar veggie is fine to feed, cucumbers, zuchini leafy greens etc! I use vitaglow for Penny!
I took your advice and put my hamster in the bath tub and she looks happy but she also looks like she wants to get out what should I take her out or leave her in
Can you tell me more about Penny's supplements? One of my hamsters is almost 1.5 years old and only recently started growing back his hair on his bum after he got mites last year in JULY and I wonder if giving Simba some supplements would help his hairs grow softer.

I’m not sure, I only just started to realize that’s probably the reason she’s never reacted to any noises 😅 Lops commonly do have more ear issues though so it’s not surprising.

So I recently got a hamster and I’ve tried a lot of stuff to tame it like putting treats in my hand and giving him treats when he doesn’t bite, but he’s not making any progress, I honestly think he’s getting worse with his biting. Even when I put treats in my hand he still bites me over the treats. And at first it was just nibbles but now he just keeps biting harder and harder. Do you have any tips that would help me tame him?
Ik this video isn’t abt hamsters but I got one like 4 days ago and I’ve been letting he settle in her cage but I’ve realized she dosent come out much I stay up a lot at night and I don’t ever see her come out is this because she just settling in because I do see her on her wheel a lot when she comes out.
My hamster is a robo hamster and i dont really see him and i thought i was doing something wrong but it turns out that is just the way he is. I do see him at like 2am but the camera in his enclosure.
Toonie is so much like my dwarf! It's so rare to see him in person, and i usually only see him on the pet camera. His name is Little Dipper (or Dipper). Although unlike Toonie, Dipper NEVER uses his wheel :,)

I'm always surprised how her hamsters stay still - I had 5 in the past and even if they would sit on my lap or sleep on it, I would've never been able to hold them and count on being still

Unfortunately not big enough. The minimum is 40x20inches which is also what Victoria recommends as a minimum.

It's called vitaglow, I mix a small amount of it with ground up ham seed mix and give it every couple days 🥰

It can take a bit for hamsters to settle in, and if you're around they might feel a bit shy ☺️

I don't think you've mentioned that cleo is deaf on here. I have a deaf dog so ik it's hard having a deaf pet.
It doesn't really affect her much, she just doesn't respond to any noises so shaking treats and calling her doesn't really work.
