- Anti-war student protesters have been met with brutal pro-Israel counterprotests, violent arrests and suspensions, raising debates around freedom of expression and the future of activism on college campuses. What started as a student encampment at Columbia University in New York City three weeks ago has now turned into a global student movement, expanding to Europe, Australia, Canada and beyond. We’ll get the latest from the campus grounds and ask what is next for the global student movement for Gaza.

We at the Campaign of Women’s Rights Movement Against Genocide -For Palestine, owe you brave students at Columbia University our gratitude for opposing the genocide in Gaza by your encampment. Your actions and demand for the immediate ceasefire, university divestment from Israel, transparency about the university's investments and amnesty from any disciplinary measures for the protesting students are applauded.
We praise you for being at the forefront of the global movement against the apartheid regime of Israel. You opened a new arena against the racist government of Israel and its allies, led by the USA. We admire your bravery and dedication for the value of justice.
We proudly must emphasize that your leadership inspired the students of 48 other universities not only in the US but also in Europe. Your call for justice and end to genocide has reached to every household not only in the West but also to every corner of the world; and that is despite of false and fake news that all mainstream media and network media have fed the public. Your great revolutionary move exposed all the rotten democracy of the US government and has sent shockwaves through the ruling class. We want you to know we stand with you and will ask all freedom and justice loving people around the world to join this progressive movement that you are leading to end the genocide of the people of Gaza.

This video commentary is about students protesting against the ongoing genocide so that students are interviewed to give their perspective. Teaching staff’s support to this student movement is out of context.

These young adult students are truly badass. I’m a Gen Xer and to be honest, I’m a bit disgusted with my generation. I wish my generation had even been half this cool instead of being so utterly engulfed in narcissism.

Definitely you can see a link between the way the police forces are dealings with things and how the Izzy do things! Some uni’s have managed it peacefully and non violent. Main thing is a lot of money is being re directed away from Izzy. That hurts!
Not all of us pro-Palestine protestors have to accept arrest. Just show up and our leadership will relish your support gratefully and be sure you avoid arrest if that's what's best for you at this time. All out for Palestine.
