Indian Wells will always remain the most special moment of the year to me. It was my first taste of tennis away from Wimbledon (growing up British you only really get that on main tv!), and I gave IW a chance because my parent said tennis had just come to Sky (we had that already!), and I had nothing else to watch. Asked who was in it, and got told it was Alcaraz - a name I knew thanks to the prior year's Wimbledon final, which I did watch & really enjoyed! So I gave it a chance, thanks to him, and the rest is history! Watched that finals match and kept up with most tournaments since, attending Queens in June & Bercy in November! Next year I'm doing Queens & Wimbledon and absolutely can't wait, and it's thanks to the wonderful player that Carlos Alcaraz is that I gave this sport a serious chance - a move which has really brought joy into my life!
Winning Roland Garros and Wimbledon is insaly difficult. Going from a long clay season to Grass. Carlitos is truly amazing. Cant wait to see him in 2025!
Pity that he played well almost this two tournaments. Moreover I think is more difficult winning 2 Slams, atp finals, Davis Cup, 3 Master 1000 and 2 Atp 500 in a season mabye. If you add a 73-6 record without out clear defeats you make even better my dear.
I think that was for the dropshot that Fils hit out - that Fils must have seen, so Zverev saw it as "cheating" - that the umpire then ruled in Fils' favour. I think that incensed Zverev! But he needs to man up - mistakes happen...
Congratulations to all the winners and finalists. It is a long season and requires amazing hard work to win a trophy. It was great to see some winning their first trophy. It was also great to see some winning after injuries. It was great to be a fan of tennis this season 😊 👏👏
Sinner's numbers in 2024: - he is the only tennis player to have won 2 Slams, ATP finals, Davis Cup and to be the no. 1 at the end of the season. - he is the second player to play an entire season of matches without ever losing in straight sets. The other was Federer in 2005 - 73 W - 6 L = 92.4% of matches won, ninth performance in history. - Jannik becomes the first man to win the NittoATPFinals without dropping a set since 1986. - He won 10 tournaments (2 slams, 3 masters 1000, two 500, the ATP finals and the Davis Cup) + the Six Kings Slam. There is no doubt that 2024 is Jannik's year! grandissimo Jannik! 🧡🦊🎾👑💚🤍❤
It's nice to see some new faces but this era has wayy too many lower ranked players in the finals of 1000s tournaments. 10-15 years ago masters finals were pretty much GS finals, only 4 players competed for them, and I don't need to list their names we all know.
The fact that Rublev's year seemingly spiraled out into destruction despite the titles when Medvedev literally won 0 title -.- 2025 rising stars: Bu, Machac, Draper, Mpetshi Perricard, Mensik, Fonseca. Watchout for Kjaer's rise on the ranking, that kid can end up well inside the Top 200 before summer ends Excited for Berrettini's comeback to the Top 20 and of course the Sinner-Alcaraz rivalry as the grand prize
Rublev's season was just fine. It's just that y'all are not used to see him inconsistent like other players. It was just him having ups and downs. No season is destructed when you end up among the top 8 players in the world
@@BHdownthelineI completely agree with you, I can’t say it enough how I agree with you, in fact. The guy won two titles, one of which was a Masters 1000 btw, and made the final of, oh yeah, ANOTHER Masters 1000! Elsewhere, he made a few quarters, some semis, and just kept himself in the running, but people here are calling him a joke. How they come to this conclusion is beyond me🤷🏻♂️

Yes, it's just a shame that the highlights of GS tournaments are still not allowed to be shown on TennisTV.

Well done Medvedev. You managed to get top 5 without a title. That's Hardwork
Holger Rune in the top 20, too
I mean, he made it to several finals, and did decent at Grand Slams (two semis, a final, and a quarter final on clay), could that help him?
