Thanks for watching!

Its kinda weird that Doc Oc is a regular human and yet, spider man punching him in the face does nothing to him.
His glasses are indestructible as well
No disrespect to Tom Holland but kids growing up in the 2000s will always pay their first respects to Raimi, Maguire and Molina for this extraordinary superhero action.

@@lickenhuntsman5338 bruh both are fantastic. It's like comparing apple to orange.
If you want a REAL comparison, then compare it to Andrew and Tom's spider man.

@@lickenhuntsman5338 Why would you compare two completely different characters in two completely different universes? It's apples and oranges.
I definitely choose the rami trilogy over the Nolan trilogy but I would have to say the Nolan trilogy is better in terms of story cause of TDKR no doubt a lot of people would choose it over SM 3 but that’s not me hating on SM3 I really love it even with its flaws just ashame Sony had to interfere costing us SM4.
Whoever directed the choreography knew *exactly* how both Dr. Octopus and Spider-Man should move and utilize their abilities in real life, it is nothing short of astonishing.
Ikr! The fight choreography is excellent
Absolutely true. Everything looks so natural.
Only sticking point is that Spidey landed a few punches. Once that happened, the fight should have been over. Doc Ock has his mechanical arms, but he's still just a normal man once you get past them. And Spidey has the proportionate strength of a spider - one punch should have had Doc Ock down and out.
@@DeathReviews That's true! I thought the same. Ock get punched in three scenes: After bank robbing, on the train and in the water at the end. He should be knocked out. And he is not a fighter ^^'

not only that but remember i the beginning when he meets otto otto says that love is a dangerous thing how it can eat u up inside peters feeling were hurt because he was to late on asking MJ out that his feelings for her were putting a strain on his powers along with not knowing what he wanted if he wanted to be spiderman or be with MJ but once Doc Oc took her he knew what he wanted
I love that Tobey Maguire is the dorkiest Peter, but he's also still the most badass of all the Spidermen we've got. He takes some brutal hits that would make even the likes of Iron Man and Thor buckle, yet he always gets back up and into the fight. Which is the true essence of the character of Spiderman.
I remember the original cartoon series. Spiderman would get sick coming home from fights where he was soaking wet out at night from some fight. Or he was all messed up bloody. But he never whined about it. Aunt May never knew and took care of him. But Peter was quite the guy and was all alone. No Stark tech or anything. Tobey reminded me of him. Ok so his webshooters were artificial in the original comics and cartoon. Doesn't bother me either way.
I think it's amazing how Nostalgia can blind people, people criticize Andrew and Tom's Spider-Man so much, as if they didn't have his qualities and weren't equally good compared to Tobey.
The first-person scenes in Andrew's movies are incredibly well done, show a more immersive perspective, and give that taste of what it's like to actually "be" Spider-Man. The soundtrack and sounds of their web launchers in the first TASM (The Amazing Spider Man) are equally good and realistic.
Tom Holland's Spider-Man tackles the comic side of the character, showing that he still doesn't know for sure his position, and, as a 15-year-old boy, his actions end up in consequences, and so should be taken with wisdom. Not to mention how they develop Peter's intelligence, showing him developing his webs in high school (the same goes for TASM), the soundtracks are equally well done and Spider's costumes, both Homecoming's and Black and Red's from Far From Home are beautiful.
And I see a lot of people commenting "Tom's Peter is too dependent on Tony Stark, and everything he does needs a billionaire's help", I wonder if the people who say this really know Spider-Man because in the Stan Lee comics , Harry Osborn and Norman Osborn (Famous Billionaires) are the ones who support Peter, they pay Peter an entire luxury apartment, and help him in other, more professional areas, showing that even Osborns don't exist in the MCU, yet, Tony Stark plays this role, and much more than that. People are so used to seeing a Hero who loses his Uncle, is bitten by a spider and turns into a badass at the end of the movie that they want to see the same thing repeated for the 3rd time in Cinema.
Quit complaining about Spider Men at once and enjoy the movies, not just blindly idolize a movie for Nodtalgia. Tobey, Andrew and Tom all have their own movies and their own personalities, and the fact that they each approach a different side of the same character is what makes it so memorable and memorable to this day. Good week everyone and I hope this ends the rough little fights about which Spider-Man is the best.

Sam does love the comics the movies have the cheesy dialogue the older comics had that's why I love it
The same can be said for Mr. Incredible when he had to catch a train, come out of retirement and later fight a villain with AI and tentacles. Plus both superhero films came out in 2004.
Sam Raimi really know what he was doing
A lot of this scenes could be draws from a comic book

Nocthus this is the extended cut
No fancy suit, no neno tech, not a lot of talking, just pure hands on combat. Maguire's Spidey is still boss level
Tobey is my favorite and probably the best representation of the character in a movie (because of his internal conflicts) but don’t forget a lot of Spider-Man in the comics is technology stuff, just saying
A Spider-Man that doesn't banter in the midst of battle is not a good thing personally but it doesn't take away from how good the fight is
@@joeda900The thing about Spiderman is that he knows when it's time to joke around and when it's time to get serious. And when he doesn't banter, it means things has gotten very serious. And considering he had to deal with a super-powered psychopath like Green Goblin whose every scene involved putting people in danger, and Doc Ock whose experiment almost leveled an entire city as well as kidnapping Aunt May and MJ, Tobey's Spiderman tends to find himself in more serious moments than most throughout the films. As a matter of fact, he did do some bantering with Doc Ock before he held Aunt May hostage. Hell, he tried bantering with Sandman until he found out Sandman killed his uncle and by then, he already had in the black suit. So it say it's less about not bantering and more about not getting much time to before things turn from 0 to 100.
@@joeda900The thing is here is that the stakes are much higher, He Cracked a joke at the bank for example. All though I do agree there should've been more jokes, I still think it's balanced enough and well enough to still be just as good as comics spidey
@@rojaedavis8367thank you 😂! I know that Spider-Man/peter and even miles will joke during fights in the comics. But it was no time for that in this scene. I wouldn’t be trying to crack a joke while potentially trying to save at least 400 people on a moving train.
The fact that the CGI in this film FROM 12 YEARS AGO still looks better than most movies today stuns me.

Yeah. Knowing Peter's love for MJ, he is pissed!!
Imagine if Tobey's Spiderman was on Titan and he found out that Thanos killed MJ on vormir to obtain the soul stone man he would knock his head clean off or something
You know what's hilarious? Seeing how Doc was getting frustrated with Spidey. Tobey wouldn't stop, even after getting hit by a train. Doc was surprised and getting annoyed as hell. Doc was probably thinking how in the fuck do I get rid of this guy?😂 This fight was so badass, it really showcases Spidermans athleticism, hand to hand combat and toughness.
Yeah it’s a cool detail also since doc understood he couldn’t get rid of him himself he had to tire him out with making him stop the train to then sweep him after he could barely walk
Ock was supposed to defeat him and bring him to Harry which was his job.
@@LJ_Brostep_Productions I feel like Tobey's spiderman would be able to stop Thanos from collecting even one infinity stone

Not to mention Spider man was merely holding back as well. If he used his strength to his maximum potential, doc ock is gone.
Something about Tobey getting beaten up and yelling during a fight only to continue to not give up really makes this Spiderman way more iconic than Tom's portrayal.

Right. I mean, it's literally what happens here 3:24
@youtube watcher I mean he was fighting for his life. Green Goblin tried to kill him. Doc Ock tried to stab him on the clock tower, Sandman almost killed him, Venom tried to kill him, even Harry tried to kill him. He wasn’t playing a game, the stakes were real.
Dude I forgot how absolutely *relentless* Raimi's Spiderman was. He just, keeps, coming.
He gets smashed into the road from like 3 stories up.
He gets pulverized full speed by TRAIN with the relative velocity of ANOTHER Incoming train and just keeps swinging.
Not to mention what he ends up having to do after the fight.
That's what Raimis films really nail in terms of comic accuracy. Peter never gives up. Doesn't matter how outnumbered, outmatched or how wrecked he gets. Just gets smashed and beaten down but always gets back up.
Real talk the extended fight just shows why doc ock gets so pissed lmfao
Cali Jose Alfred Molina will be on Spider-Man no way home
He’s extremely aggressive. That’s his fighting style. Any opening he gets, he’s going in and landing those punches
He actually fights back ! Unlike the other two who just swing and web. In NWH Andrew said he stopped pulling punches. Like man, I dont think he threw 1 punch in his 2 movies.
Why is it that this looks FAR more realistic than Spiderman Homecoming?
It's a very well blended scene of CGI but has a real environment. Attention to detail is incredible and there is actually thought put into it, not relying on a computer to make something look "awesome". I've seen a lot of comments on it and they're right, the CGI is used a lot in this scene but it's used in the right way to enhance the experience, which makes the fight look all the more real and that's why this is the best spider-man fight we will ever get.
Because back then they did alot more stunts so they didnt have to use that much cgi.....so over time they started to get lazy with the stunts so nowadays we got superhero movies with too much fuckin cgi due to laziness
Raimi for sets Cgi scenes and when complementa them with a close up realistic shot so it blends in a natural way and makes it feel like these are Two dummy powerful dudes painfuly beating the shit out of each other.
Roger Powers Y’all are really hung up on CGI bro lol.. 2005 called, it said to fuck off and live in the present. This is not just a fight scene, this is the experience.
I think that even with the final battle in Endgame, it still could not top just how incredibly made this scene was.
The amount of creativity, attention to detail, brutality and realism put into this scene is unmatched, also, it does a very good job getting you to know things about Spider-Man and Doc Ock as characters, with this fight showing how much they learned how to fight each other their previous encounter.
The Russo brothers are amazing, but Sam Raimi is just on another, untouchable level that is barely rivalled today.

@@Grandmaster_Dragonborn
you're acting like there wasn't CGI involved in this, it had a lot.
@DEATHVVISH It had it but not a lot at all, that's the beauty of these films: The majority of the most important scenes like this are mostly happening in camera with practical effects, and even when CGI is used it's not thrown in you're face, and it doesn't look too fake, which is awesome considering it’s 15 years old. Nowadays Marvel just CGI's everything like in FFH, and it looks extremely fake.
I really wish they would’ve kept this version in the theatrical release. It really gives you an idea of how truly powerful Doc Oc really is. I love the part where he grabs and bullies Spidey around like a rag doll. Truly amazing.
Nah i’m glad they cut it. Him being hit by a train and coming back seconds later is too much
Nope that would've been too much
They already gave him too much plot armor since he can't get knocked out even after so many punches from a super human like spider man that has super human strength that can stop a whole ass train
Agree
@@rest8280 I wouldn’t say it’s ploy armour, there’s a few ways around it;
1) The arms control his system, so they probably are numbing his pain receptors. His body may be getting damaged but he largely can’t feel it.
2) Spider-Man is losing his powers, so his punches aren’t as powerful. I’ve always liked to imagine in this scene his powers are slowly catching up with him, and they fully come back once he has to stop the train.
3) On top of losing his powers/coming back to him, he’s also holding back his power; he has to do this with normal people or he’d just kill them with one punch.
So altogether, it’s mostly understandable why Doc Ock seems like he has plot armour, but he doesn’t:)
@@Grandmaster_Dragonborn
1) even if he barely feels anything, he should still be able to get knocked out from all the 50 punches from the movie, before and after spider man loses his powers
2) pretty sure spider man already got all his powers back since he was able to stop a train with full force but even if not, in the final battle, spider man still punches doc ock a number of times and still doesn't pass out
3) yeah I get he holds back, he always does, but again from the number of times he punched him, doc ock should've at least been unconscious
Yeah doc ock with plot armor confirmed
I love how this whole fight scene shows just how much of a bad ass spiderman really is

Me in 2004: Damn this a good fucking movie
Me in 2022: Damn this is good fucking movie
I’m still sayin that currently in 2024 😂
Back when CGI was used to enhance the cinematic experience,
but today, they overuse CGI and basically make an entire film inside a single building.
Well like almost every business, hollywood is all about saving money while making money. It's easier to shoot in one place as opposed to lugging filming equipment and people all over. Also it's easier to avoid lawsuits when you can form the background around the actors on a green screen instead of literally throwing them off buildings and hoping the airbag below them doesn't fail, or they miss it, or blowing things up all around them and just flipping a coin on whether or not some random shrapnel embeds itself in their head or spine. I'm not saying CG looks particularly better than practical, real effects, but it definitely makes more sense from a business and safety perspective to make as much of an action film in a computer as you can. I personally don't think CG looks as bad as most people claim anyway, and part of the movie experience for me is separating myself from reality and letting my imagination run free. If that means imagining a slightly better looking effect as well for a minute or two, so be it. I still find it enjoyable.
Austin Smith also, for some reason, some of the CGI from this scene looks better than some CGI from today ._.
do you think they really had tobey maguire swing 200 feet from the ground from buildings in new york or it was CGI?
Agree, the New Spiderman films have amazingly low amount of footage of NYC. It's like they don't give a crap about NYC. These Rami films the set pieces and location shots were amazing.
@@JanG859 it was primarily in LA and Chicago for these scenes not ny
Say what you want about Maguire, but that train fight scene is iconic. We got to see Spidey go HAM and use his senses like a boss.

Best Spider-Man fight scene In history
Indeed
Spiderman can take a beating better than most heroes.
Whatisright Doc oc can take one better. Spidey's got super strength and his punches don't look like their doing anything to him
Nick K. He probably doesn't use his full punch when he hits people
B Beasty I think the arms kind of block it out from his mind.
If spidey punched oc his hardest it would turn into a Tarantino film
Best superhero fight ever
Danny Elfman's music alone is pretty much enough to make these movies better than the newer ones.
k
agreed
Well for the clock tower part it is Danny Elfman but for the train sequence it was actually Christopher Young who went on to score Spider-Man 3. The reason it's not Elfman in that part is due to his music apparently not being what Raimi was looking for in that scene. You can actually look up his version if you want to compare them.
+Captain Sabalan Except Iron Man and Spider-Man are completely different characters. Besides, it's not like throughout the whole movie we hear loud and epic orchestras. There's plenty of somber and quiet pieces of music as well.
+Captain Sabalan Now that'd also be interesting to see. It would certainly help distance itself from the previous Spider-Man movies in a good way.
This movie is a goddamn masterpiece

Fight smart, not hard.
Spidey was whooping his a$$. That uppercut on the spire nearly took his head off if it wasnt for the arms keeping him anchored 💪
I saw Spider-Man Homecoming and nothing in that movie topped this scene.
Spider-Man 2 is still the best.

So what if he's a kid? 🙄🤦♂️. Such a weak excuse Burstify.
@@Burstify this spider man is a teenager ad well so that reasoning is bs, snd vulture should have bern light work flr him but he fucked it up
@@MultiFirelover Spiderman didn't fail, the Vulture in homecoming wasn't the one from the comics, this Vulture had wings that could kinda act as armor and take bullets easily, the only way Spiderman would've beat Homecoming Vulture is if he somehow managed to swing a car at him or something. remember, it took a plane crash to destroy his wings and even then they mostly functioned enough for him to charge at Spiderman and almost take the crate before they exploded, he could have easily impaled Spiderman with his wings but he decided not to because vulture just did it for his family and he didn't have to kill a 15 year old to get to his base, also his first attack when he caught spiderman by surprise and after he got to a certain height Spiderman's parachute deployed sending him falling into the water? Yea, Spiderman ONLY survived that because of Iron man. Still think the HC Vulture is weak now?
The Sam rami Spider-Man can take a fucking beating. In hindsight the Spider-Man from this universe really depicts spideys abilities in the most visceral way and his reaction time, reflexes and agility I think were depicted best in this movie.

Probably one the best superhero fights ever...and don't let me get started when he stops the freaking train lol or when the green goblin makes him choose between Mary Jane and the kids. These three scenes have always gave me the chills.
He didn't have Tony's tech or any help from anyone. He fought with just his webs and his own strength and spider senses. When he was pissed because someone directly threatened Mary Jane Watson, he was incredibly powerful and dangerous.
Thanks for saying what happened in the movie. Also, a hero isn’t bad just because he uses tech. Look at Batman or spidey on the ps4.
@@ohyeah2066 no but Toby doesn't need help whereas tom Holland would have been killed on his first encounter with vulture without his STARK suit or ironman coming to save him and something that annoys me is that we never saw tom as Peter Parker like before spiderman he just rolled up to the mcu club with powers and no uncle Ben! And no spider bite scenes!
@@oliverflaxman5242 I feel like they shouldn’t do the spider bite and uncle Ben every time. I liked that they jumped right in, but I don’t necessarily think they should do that every time.
Every incarnation of Spider-Man is powerful. He literally has to pull his punches if he’s fighting a normal human
That cowboy yell by Tobey Maguire at 2:47 is the most underrated part of the scene. Just too iconic

Yeah spiderman is more of jokes and this spiderman does make jokes just not a lot, he is more serious and dude its a movie, the movie would have ended too quickly or maybe ended it before it even started lol. That would be boring. And this spiderman shows just how strong and powerful spiderman is and can be. He can be even stronger when he isnt messing around and goes full on serious with no holding back. I mean in spideman 3 when peter found out the reason mary jane called it off was because of harry and that insanely pissed peter off like he was done with harrys bullshit amd kicked his ass so bad, he left a scar on harrys face and yeah he was wearing the black suit but that just amplified what spideman was actually feeling to go after harry. Its like when superman wears a red kryptonite his other side shows,What he actually feels shows and does what he actually feels deep inside. The black suit is the same way and it just shows that if you piss off spideman and he becomes super serious, spiderman can be really dangerous. And like i said its a movie so they have to do stuff like that or the movie would be over before it began. I love this spiderman and i sometimes hate it when spideman has to make jokes at really unnecessary times because save people and beat the bad guy, not tell the bad guy a joke. This movie is so much deeper than initially thought. Spider-Man was going through a rough time. He was losing his powers. The city was being unappreciative of his efforts and he was losing his desire of being Spider-Man altogether. But he was put into a situation where he had to step up and he took it without hesitation. He saved all of those on the train, even after all of their doubts and when they lifted him to safely he finally got the recognition and thanks he’s deserved for so long. The people loved him, and they loved him enough to never reveal his identity. He was at peace once again, Spider-Man was back.
Is it really "deeper than initially thought" if it's all spelled out quite clearly in the film?

What do you mean? Please explain.

Take a scene like this for example. A simple action of jumping a fence had about 15 cuts in 6 seconds. The scene is so bad that I can barely make out what Liam Neeson is doing, which is the reason why the train fight is so brilliant in comparison. There are relatively fewer cuts and all of them are spaced in a way that makes sense and allows the viewer to immediately comprehend what is happening on screen. The way the action is framed also improves visibility.
