- Teddy the naughty raccoon thinks he's a dog and deserves belly rubs on tap! After being rejected by his mom, Ted the raccoon was rescued at 3 days old and grew up in a family of dogs and cats. Now, this raccoon thinks he’s a dog, but he actually behaves more like a toddler! Pixie, his owner, has to beware of open cupboards, attention seeking, and other shenanigans.

Most animals probably do identify with the other creatures they are raised with. Aside from species-specific innate behaviors, they learn by watching those around them. So Teddy must think he is a dog with INCREDIBLE dexterity!

Raccoons are intelligent animals. They are also cute. One cold day here in Canada, a young, friendly raccoon walked in front of me just after I've finished my supermarket shopping. I gave her some food. Since you have this pet, It's a family member now. Please don't let this critter go back into the wild. My dogs and cats as well as my bunny and gerbil live in harmony.🦝

I bottle fed two little kittens abandoned by their feral mom. It was the closest connection I've ever had with cats. We kept them and the little female, Sister Baby, is still with us today.

I love the raccoon, but just as much I love the people that care and love so much they do what most people won't do. They take in strays and those that need a bit of a hand at times. I hope God blesses this woman greatly.

I have a silly sense of humour and Most people like it that way 😂. I speak in rhyme when I pour out water for my cat. I say “water water my wee puss daughter” 😂😂😂. I ask her if she wants Butler Service and then I open the back door to let her out, even though that door I open has a perfectly good working cat flap installed in the bottom of it.😂😂.

I love racoons and opposums! personally I think any animal can be a good pet even wild animals dogs and cats were wild once we seem to forget that nobody judged people for taming wolves or wild cats in the beginning.

Having another raccoon with him would be hugely beneficial for Teddy.
He doesn’t know what another raccoon is, he was raised with dogs so to bring in any other animal now after nearly 8 years would stress him to much. His happy as he is 😊

We found a baby raccoon when I was 6 that didn't even have his eyes open. We had a dog with puppies and she let her nurse and she lived with us for 13 years before passing away from old age and I always claimed high blood pressure because she was almost round she was so fat.

Raccoons are cute, but what happens when they reach maturity and start wanting a mate? Cats and dogs you get fixed so they don't have this problem, but what about wild animals like raccoons?
Some animals can get really aggressive. My friend had a monkey that got really aggressive when he was wanting some female companionship. His monkey was always a bit more dangerous to be around in those times.

His over 7 years old now and is on a vet diet at the moment due to a health issue which has caused him to put weight on quickly, he will be on a little diet soon 😊, the vet would like him to lose 2kg once his better

He’s a cutie for sure. However, and pardon me for saying this, but he’s morbidly obese. If you want to keep him longer, cut back on the treats. My mother has overfed two dogs to their demise, one right after the other. Just trying to be helpful, not malicious.👌
His on a vet diet currently and his meds caused rapid weight gain, once his got the all clear he will be on a diet. Part of the video was shot in his vets office :)

HE IS VERY NICE BUT YOU HAVE FED HIM FAR TOO MUCH HE IS AT LEAST 15-20 OVERWEIGHT. REDUCE HIS DIET OR HE WILL PASS AWAY A LOT SOONER THAN IF HE WAS AT NORMAL WEIGHT ❤
