Awesome! Yeah it wasn't really apparent how that DSP select knob manipulated things in the manual. It took my a while to figure some of those out on my own. I bought this radio new in 2008 and sold it recently. Loved it. I miss it a little bit but there are other fish in the sea. Have fun with your new radio! The 450 will do anything you want to do really.
@@Superacerc Everyone I see who had one, but sold it, misses it. I have not managed to own one yet. I should add I like to QRP out and about, and my trusty FT-817 is getting a bit hard to read with my old eyes. Hence the reason I am looking at and researching this radio.
You’re welcome. 😊. I am not the first and certainly not the last to transmit a carrier. At least the frequency seemed to be clear. Of course there was even more noise as the antenna was tuned.
Never could get this radio to sound good to my ears. Not a bad radio but I am spoiled with my old Kenwood ts 830 audio.

@@wonderingworld119 it definitely is more readible than the 817. Those are great radios though. I enjoy qrp and hiking with my x6100 radio.

Theres a menu item for it i believe and a button on the top right.
Or is it the keyer key. I cant remember now. I sold the radio right after i made the video.
