Unfortunately when you grow up in poverty surrounded by others in poverty you just don't have models to help you climb out. Going to church with successful people helped me becuase they had such different expectations of their own lives. We weren't even taught to dream or set goals where I grew up. And my climb out of poverty is an office job not some hugely successful high profit venture.
