Life will eventually take the things you love and use them to bring you anger, grief, and sadness. It will take your hope for the future and give you nothing but misery, simply because you dared to look for a way out of the darkness. I feel moments of happiness, even days and weeks worth of it, but it's only a deception designed to make the fall into the abyss more jarring and life altering when it finally comes for me again. The only way to escape is to suffer through it all while wondering if you actually deserve to feel such things.
