If you are over the age of 60 and you have carpal tunnel symptoms and you have not started anything new (hobbies, exercises, work) that you think is the cause, please see your doctor and look into a disease called amyloidosis. Carpal tunnel can be an early symptom and it's a very serious disease. My father had carpal tunnel for months and they missed the amyloidosis until he started to have heart arrhythmia problems.

@@faisalakash433 not sure where you are located, but I saw a family physician we couldn’t find a specific activity that was causing my carpal tunnel, so we tried splinting both wrists and using Advil to reduce pain and inflammation. This didn’t work so he injected a corticosteroid in each wrist and I’ve not had issues since. It doesn’t always work for everyone and it’s not an option for everyone depending on their own personal health situation, but it’s worth inquiring about! Ask your doctor if a corticosteroid injection is a good option for your mother and make sure you find a trustworthy doctor as a poorly done injection may make things worse rather than better. Hope she feels better soon!

No, it does not cause any problem after the operation. You really wouldn't know that it had even been cut. I had my right wrist done, under local anaesthetic, and had instant and permanent pain relief. After healing, my hand and wrist are completely back to normal -- and there is no difference in either look or function between my two hands/wrists. (Operation 15 yrs ago, and never a days trouble since. Previously it had been unbearably painful and no medication helped.)

I began eating meat again, esp. beef liver😪 and taking more B complex vitamins .... (be sure to include B6.... my old nutritional almanac says CTS is a B6 deficiency)... from food sources and Im fine with no more pain. Do be careful isolating B vitamins this can cause a deficiency in another B vitamin. I think only God knows how much of each one we need....so foods is better.
