  • The piston and rings are essential components of an internal combustion engine. The piston moves up and down within a cylinder, compressing the air-fuel mixture and transferring force to the crankshaft.
    Rings, usually made of metal, fit around the piston and create a seal against the cylinder walls. They prevent the mixture from leaking into the crankcase and the oil from entering the combustion chamber. This sealing action is crucial for the engine's efficiency and proper function.
    As the piston moves up during the compression stroke, the rings ensure a tight seal, allowing the pressure to build up inside the cylinder. During the combustion phase, the expanding gases push the piston down with force, transferring energy to the crankshaft and ultimately powering the Alternator.

    What about if the prrssure rings positions are directly opposite each other?
    I mean if the one at the middle face downward and the one at the top face up?
