I like you lessing. It very clear and understandable. My question on this is how did you dismantle the half engine in the first place? Also is it possible to work on the piston and rings without having to go through the crankcase?
@@bencoinstitute do u have a video of how u disassembled the half engine? I am working on my abandoned SV6800E2 generator and I got stuck at that point. I have watched other videos but they don't have good illustrative ability as u.

It depends on how weak the block is... For a very weak block it is advisable u use parking rings.. **I use the light parking rings, that laps with the oil rings well **yes it is advisable to use std+ rings when ringing for the first time otherwise in few weeks your generator smokes if you don't use std+ rings

When Ringing engine for the first time also...is it necessary you use a standard plus ring for it also ?
It depends on how weak the block is...
