Thanks. I think this is one of your most tragic and yet fascinating videos. Fred's last moments are touching but I also don't want to glamorize them. So many clearly loved Fred, yet it wasn't enough. We hear so many say, especially now, that things were so much better at this time, the good old days, yet you have a vibrant talent who was crushed by homophobic abuse and never able to recover. The whole segment on Alan Marlowe and Diana di Prima was bewildering, especially him going from being a bottom to marrying her and their conceiving a child. That happens, of course, and some of her writings paint him as having a straight man's, homophobic perspective (freezing Fred out of the Poet's Theatre). I read a page on him and on the relationship between him and di Prima and was left even more confused. I notice her Wikipedia entry does not mention him at all, which maybe tells us how she viewed their time together. (they divorced in 1969, apparently)

Thanks 🙏 @kengeorgejones6855 I agree with what you are saying. There is a lot more to unpack with regard’s to the relationship between Hurko, do Prima, and Marlowe. Also the politics at the Poets theatre and di prima had enough of a relationship with Warhol, that he ended up filming a scene with both di Prima and Marlowe, albeit a brief one. di Prima is actually a very interesting person in her own right. I have many questions about her as well.
