Team Service Announcement #21: "Pop it, Don't Drop it"

- The optimal time to activate an ÜberCharge is right before coming within range of a sentry nest, or entering an area heavily occupied by enemies. However, sometimes you can get ambushed or have your patient killed before you get a chance to use the charge. In this case, your best option is to activate the ÜberCharge prematurely to keep yourself from dying, and letting your patient take out the threat, push as far as you can with what's left of the ÜberCharge, or allowing yourself to escape.
This goes for any medigun. A sudden flash with the Kritzkrieg can be enough to save you and your patient from a surprise heavy attack. The Quick-Fix's ÜberCharge can heal you enough to withstand any incoming damage while retreating, and can keep Pyros from air blasting you away from safety. The Vaccinator can also keep you safe from random critical attacks, or crit-boosted enemies.
Bonus Tip: When you stop healing a player with your ÜberCharge activated, they will stay invincible for a short while. This means you can charge two players at once if need be. However, doing this will cause your ÜberCharge meter to drain faster, so don't go trying to make your entire team invincible every time you get the chance.

Super pro tip : Use the ubercharge to prevent incoming damage, do not wait for your patient to drop down to 3hp, I mean it's good to save someone, but you also have to think about what's going to happen afterwards, and if he doesn't have much hp and you have several people to heal, he's going to be in a bad situation
In 8 seconds of ubercharge, you will heal a minimum of 192 HP. Pop a heavy at 100HP and he'll be almost full health at the end of the uber. Pop on a soldier at 8 and he'll be full health, at 100 he'll be fully overhealed coming out of the charge.

You don't always have time to heal everyone if you have to push immediatly, if you wait too long the other medic will have uber too and all your advantages will be gone ( player advantage, uber advantage and positional advantage )

Only if you heal him all the time, and sometimes you want to flash your teammates to prevent them fromdying from rocket for example
That all depends on your playstyle and on how many players are around you during the push. In highlander for example, your theory WOULD be correct....if not that the medics mostly pocket the demos and soldiers and stay there for most of the match. Medic is a key target and therefore has many different ways to defend or save his teammates. When the push consists of more than one person, it's best to uber the person with the lowest health anyways (of course switching in between teammates to ensure their safety). And if the push makes it through with all those people alive, it's more than likely it'll be easy to complete the objective for the rest of the team, since you don't only use uber for making your teammates invulnerable...but to kill the other team and it's sentries as well! Only if the objective of the uber fails you will be in trouble, but that's often not because your teammates aren't doing that they're supposed to do. It's because you had the wrong timing.
And if you're only pocketing one person anyways...you shouldn't even think of pushing without a team behind you >.> but if you still do so, he'll be back at max health before the uber is over. Perhaps even overhealed.

Edgar Luciapao Jr. If you have a taunt mod installed, only you can see it, since that's a clientside mod. Unless other people have the same exact taunt you have, they can't see it.

This is honestly the biggest thing I struggle with as a medic main. Playing mostly on pubs, I have trouble telling when is an appropriate time to use my uber to make the most of it. My team usually isn't composed enough to tell when they'll make use of it the most, and the enemy, for the same reason, is often hard for me to judge whether popping it is necessary for my survival. So I end up holding onto it for the "right moment", for that time when we'll actually put it to good use, and I get killed. I mean, sure, I usually run Vita saw, so it isn't _as_ big a deal, but it's still a problem.
