The Audi Q2 is being launched on the German market with a powerful gasoline engine: The 1.5 TFSI outputs 110 kW (150 PS) and produces 250 Nm of torque. In the NEDC cycle, the refined four-cylinder engine consumes just 5.4-5.1 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. At low loads and engine speeds, its efficiency system, cylinder on demand (COD), temporarily deactivates the second and third cylinders.
Further TDI and TFSI engines will be added before the end of the year. All engines comply with the new Euro 6 AP emission standard, and the twin dosing technology of the diesel engines minimizes the NOx emissions. Two SCR catalytic converters work together here: One is located directly behind the engine and the other is installed in the vehicle floor. They cover different operating situations and complement each other’s effects.
The Q2 with the 1.5 TFSI engine rolls off the assembly line with a manual six-speed transmission as standard, with the seven-speed S tronic available as an option. quattro all-wheel drive is available for some engine versions. Its multi-plate clutch, which transfers part or all of the engine torque to the rear wheels as needed, belongs to a new generation. It is around one kilogram (2.2 lb) lighter than its predecessor engine while offering increased efficiency thanks to various details such as bearings and oil supply.
The Audi Q2 is a robust all-rounder for everyday use and leisure whose character is reflected in its body line: They are sporty, elongated, and powerful at the same time, and the corners and edges give the compact SUV a confident appearance. As a result of its revision, the Q2 has become a few millimeters longer, now measuring 4.21 meters , while the width and height have remained the same.
The designers have now applied the motif of the polygon, which already characterized the front and shoulder line, to the rear end as well. The bumper has an integrated diffuser insert with large five-sided polygons. The front has also been modified, with the surfaces below the headlights emerging in a more striking manner. The octagonal Singleframe is slightly lower, making the front section appear wider. Its insert also interprets the polygon motif. The advanced and S line equipment lines feature narrow slits between the radiator grille and the hood that are reminiscent of the Audi Sport quattro, an icon of the brand. The large implied air inlets also appear even more expressive, especially in the S line.
LED headlights now come as standard in the Audi Q2, and Matrix LED headlights are available as an option. Seven individual LEDs seated in a shared module produce an intelligently controlled high beam light. It always illuminates the road as brightly as possible without blinding other road users. Ten light-emitting diodes installed behind rhomboid optical components generate the daytime running light, while seven further LEDs generate the dynamic turn signal light in addition.
For the reversing lights, customers can choose between two LED versions - with or without dynamic turn signal. If the Matrix LED headlights are on board, the dynamic turn signal comes as standard at the rear end as well.
The blades on the C-pillars are painted in vehicle color or kept in black, gray, and silver shades, depending on the equipment line.
The spacious interior of the Audi Q2 accommodates five passengers. The interior design echoes the taut design language of their exterior. The air vents and the gear lever knob, or selector lever of the S tronic, have a new look. With the optional ambient lighting package plus, the trim strip on the instrument panel and the knee pads on the center console feature elegant backlighting.
The range in terms of operation and displays is also structured in several levels. It extends from an analog instrument cluster and the MMI radio plus with DAB+ to the Audi virtual cockpit with a 12.3-inch diagonal and MMI navigation plus with an 8.3-inch display. It is operated via a rotary pushbutton on the center tunnel console (MMI touch) or via a natural language voice control system. The Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System, which drives 14 loudspeakers with an output of 705 watts, is unique in the small SUV segment.
The Dinamica microfiber material is a new addition to the range and will replace the Alcantara material.
The optional equipment of the Q2 includes sport seats with pronounced side bolsters, a height-adjustable front passenger seat, two-zone automatic air conditioning, and auxiliary heating. The luggage compartment of the compact SUV can handle an unchanged 405 liters, expanding to 1,050 liters when the rear seat backs are folded down. A power tailgate and a trailer hitch are available as options.

I like the original older look better, it feels so balanced unlike the facelift which seems a bit violent just to make a change..

It's not real, I was told by a salesman at the dealership that the interior would be similar to the 2020 A3 styling
The facelift makes it look a lot meaner, if you’re into that sort of thing. I love my 69 plate 1.6 diesel automatic- I’ll never get another speeding ticket! ..and I can get 65mpg out if it if I drive it softly. It has literally halved my fuel costs, saving me £30 a week. It also has the coldest air conditioning known to mankind, in this summer heat it is just so comfortable. It’s a shame Audi are dropping this model, however it has turned me on to the brand big time.

I am still at a loss as to why Audi removed the centre rear armrest in the update.. It saved them THAT much money? Seriously? It would make long drives so fatiguing even for a single back passenger.
I can see why it's being discontinued. It's ridiculously overpriced for a tiny SUV that can barely fit 3 passengers. The only advantage it has over T-Roc is a more up rent interior in certain spots. That's it. But it can be like 10 grand more expensive for equivalent model here in Australia. The SQ2 is 77 grand driveaway price here. I paid 66 for my Cupra Ateca with *identical* engine and 0-100 time, same transmission.
But guess what? I have a top view 360 camera, not in SQ2. I have wireless phone charging, not in SQ2. I have a centre rear armrest with cup holders, not in SQ2. I have adjustable adaptive suspension dampers, not in SQ2, I have an electric driver's seat, not in SQ2, and I have rear cross traffic alert which to me is a really good thing, and again, not in SQ2.
What does SQ2 have over my car for more than 10 grand higher price? 1) An Audi badge 2) Nicer dash and centre console soft material 3)Slightly more powerful stereo system 4)Matrix LED lights instead of LED, but the Cupra still has full LED lighting and LED cornering lamps. The Ateca is also a small car but somehow has SO much more leg room front AND rear. Work that out.
Is the Audi really worth 11 thousand more? (and over depending on stock, I have seen them for 80K or more). I drove an SQ2, T-Roc R and Ateca back to back, as all 3 have the identical engine, and the ride and handling on the Ateca is superior to both of them, markedly so vs the SQ2. It just drives way better with good feeling direct steering, almost like a Go Kart, whereas Audi feels artificial and "dead". That's Cupra for you, who managed to make a front wheel drive biased Golf platform so much fun. They did an amazing job.
I do love Audis though, and my previous car (now Mum's) was a great car, but even seeing what I get in the Cupra vs other cars half the price like an MG HS has really opened my eyes to how overpriced VW group cars are. All I have over my niece's HS is a bit more power and faster acceleration. THAT'S IT. Worth 30 grand? I don't think so. She has a WAY nicer interior, nicer than the Audi's even, at half the price. What an amazing car for what she paid.
The other thing I noticed is that Audi are steadily lowering the interior quality of their new cars whilst increasing the price substantially. It is even evident in Q2 here, which, quality wise at least, is simply built better than the current A3 - this is because the Q2 is based on the 8V A3 which was built so well. Even though it looks a TAD dated inside, it's still very very high quality. Because 3 of us total often travel interstate by car, the Q2 was out of the running anyway - but had it not removed the centre rear armrest, had it had adaptive suspension, electric seats and a couple other things, I MIGHT have then been able to justify the price difference and picked that instead. But how it stands, ALL Q2 models are offensively priced for what you get to drive.

For my money, the outgoing model looks better. Hey AUDI, haven't you people heard the term KISS? Keep it simple stupid.
to do this better to do nothing, front bumper with some tacky false air outlets, where you would have to take some beautiful front fog optics it has more cheap plastic patches and stupid cheap patches, all this is horrible, the rear part is more of the same Small rear lights in the most polo style, and inside more black piano dirty scratched and ugly, the digital screen and instrument panel is small without color and little customizable. The engines nothing new and the automatic transmission as always and delicate dsg, for when a new automatic transmission of torque converter more effective smooth and above all less consumption and greater reliability, ?? q2 expensive car little standard equipment and the qualities nothing of the best, it needs a new complete change and some new designers with stylo character and personality and not photocopies without imagination etc, ...
When did you have the time to write all that?
