I too love it there just came back and it was hard to leave, love walking my dog along the river front and sitting in the swings at the park with a nice breeze coming in,and great area for riding my bike.Wish i could live there,maybe some day.
This GA town overlooks Florida from the other side of the ST MARYS RIVER. This state line is a serious wall, in the past when Florida was more Spanish than it is now (LOL) and GA was English.. Run away slaves escaped to Florida to be free in places like St. Augustine with their Spanish friends. It's likely that more than once this little town and its vicinity was the departure point of Englishman and riffles looking for their run away slaves, you can bet this was a hostile border in those days. Today, the war is economical with Florida doing all it can to keep GA residents from communing into Jacksonville for jobs and paying less rent on the GA side.. likely since GA has a state income tax, and FL doesn't, The state seeings this border community as a potential threat the the states economy. Interesting history, and ODD outcome since now days African Americans in GA live way better than they do in Florida when you look at housing conditions and other things. Incredible history here not exactly Florida but related to Florida, and of course a great place to vacation. Were cool now tho.. you can even catch gators in GA and Bulldogs in FL safely.. try catching a cardinal in bobcat territory LOL
My Granddad worked at the shipyard in St. Mary’s some time In the 1950’s and my brother worked at King’s Bay for a short time. I spent a lot of time in and around St. Mary’s. Quiet and pleasant little place. Thanks for the video. 🌞🏆

honestly.. you want the truth? NOT FOR ME for sure. After going thru there most towns are dumps, melbourne might be alright specially around the suburbs where everything is new. St Augustine was nice but pricey.
