Yep. On 1.0 and every room you enter is repeating 1 and 2 over and over again. While you eventually realize it's a suspect 3 miles away from you tracking and shooting you through 3 walls.
Not at all. specially after last update. You guys are whinning too much. Nothing on this video is present anymore on the game. On very first launch of 1.0 the reaction time was that bad, but not anymore.

"If you want challenging AI, don't make them unfair, make them smarter." Total War dev Creative Assembly needs that sentence plastered on every piece of property they own.
I once had a glitch in Empire Total War, where twelve Swedes fired cannonballs out of thin air after I destroyed their cannons from a distance. No animations or anything.
I'm glad i'm not the only one who thought the ai was completely broken and unfair, they're telling me that drug addicts and goons have faster reaction time than a swat officer and better accuracy too
@@gotgunpowderBy not playing the game like a SWAT game. I have a suspicion that people who say AI is fine plays the game more like CoD than an actual SWAT tactics game.
@@shellshockedgerman3947 honestly took me a while to finish sins of the father before I started full auto on anyone with a gun got bring order to chaos and worked backwards from there to complete it with a good enough score
The issue with animations and reaction times reflects on AI SWAT as well: as soon as a surrendered suspect tries to pull one on you, your teammates immediately know he's about to pull a gun, because they know it from the animation starting. To the player it looks like your colleagues just decided to execute the dude on the spot. Great video, nice work!
I would also add that suspects don't value their life a lot. They rarely give up without stun. Like I see this in some scenarios like Neon Club or Brisa Cove. But for any other ones, it's really annoying when you ambush suspects as full squad, and they decide it's a good idea to pull a gun on you, proceed to side strafe at 50km/h while headshoting you.
Absolutely right. In SWAT 4 value their life more. When they see SWAT officers aiming at them they prefer to give up (not the majority but this is common). And when you sneak on them from behind and tell them to give up they most likely will drop their weapon and surrender in SWAT 4. In ready or not, they are just robots programmed to kill
the devs seem to mock the idea that the AI just isn't *FUN* to play against (the main point of a video game). They think because they have superhuman reaction times its "realistic" and everyone who doesn't like it is a "casual". Except, the AI for every level acts the exact same. A traphouse full of tweakers have the same ability as terrorists taking over a nightclub.
An interesting tidbit I discovered while working on an AI mod of my own was that the AI is also unbound by the rate of fire of whatever weapon they hold.
@@nagiaoe2434 just download a mod off of Nexus such as No Crack for AI or Juggs Gameplay Improvements. it'll dumb down the AI enough that the game is playable, even if No Crack makes them a bit too easy.
I enjoyed Ready or Not. When 1.0 released, I cleared all my mods. After dealing with the insane AI, I remember why I installed AI mods to make the game fun again. If someone can change a few variables to make the AI sensible, then Void can definitely make the AI good.
i'm curious what mods did you use to deal with them? i'm very tired of sneaking around a whole map and getting blasted from god knows where and am looking to install some lmao
@@KKris-hone of the mods I have used is called something along the lines of “No crack for the AI” summing it up with my experience it makes gunfights with AI much more engaging, and the swat team actually gets engaged as well. I recommend "Ready or Not Here I Come". Use the "Real Tactical" option on highest difficulty and work your way down. The "Suppressiveness" is a lot better if you ask me. "Extreme Tactical" adds more enemies on top.
With some of the BS I've seen with the AI ... If I hear someone say "that's perfectly fine" to a suspect with Usain Bolt speed with pin point accuracy and gets three headshots.... I'll give them a paintball gun, and challenge them to SHOW ME to pull off such a feet
They're banning people in their discord for (rightfully) shitting on the fact that this is very clearly still in beta, with a big ol' 1.0 slapped on the side to garner more sales with the price hike.

@@gotgunpowder I've done the hermit running full nonlethal and no alt-f4'ing when I or someone dies. The AI is ridiculous sometimes and can be outright broken. Suspects being pelted by 4 officers running pepperballs, kneeling over to cough and then immediately shooting someone in the face again, hyperagressive suspects pushing through stacked doors only to dome you and immediately die, crackheads who were probably ex navy seals. The companion AI is downright broken in some maps as well, The dock map is an exercise in micro management because if you let your AI roam free they'll "clear" entire open areas with their backs turned to 4 different enemies while being shot at. The game is challenging but not in a good way, it's challenging because the enemy will consistently outgun you even if it doesn't make sense, I don't mind being shot in the face because I ran around a corner without peeking it but I do mind being shot in the face because a cartel member saw a single pixel of my arm through some cardboard boxes and decided to unload a magazine with perfect precision at me.
I've been playing Ready or Not religiously since I bought it, and a lot of things I thought were a skill issue on my end were mentioned here which really made me realize that no, I'm not crazy but genuinely the AI in a PvE game is bad. I love the game and hopefully Void devs see quality content like this which isn't just bitching for 23 minutes but also explains the flaws and offers solutions to them. Great work
That's a funny anecdote. I played a couple times in June and immediately realized how broken it was. If the computer wants you dead, you're just dead. It moves so fast you can't decipher what is aggression and what isn't. Then they never fixed anything. Lol. This is why we can't have nice things.
Thing is when you install mods that reduces their speed and accuracy, game becomes another call of duty where me and my friend just run forward and waste everyone until its over. So I guess that’s the only way to force people to be careful and use more tactic

I love those quotes about AI though. Like I remember just being astonished when an AI character in a stealth game notices their buddy is missing or a door has been opened that wasn’t before. Shit like that, interacting with the world around them in a way that makes sense, builds a world up significantly
@@ElliFong Actually this was in the first Dishonored. But a handful of games do this. You can definitely tell how much the developers cared about AI just by paying attention to the game.
man, whenever i think about good AI in games i think about stuff like Half Life, FEAR, Dishonored, Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) and Left 4 Dead 2. those are games where the AI is incredibly nuanced in terms of both tactics and combat efficiency. hell in FEAR and Need for Speed, the games made how the AI works completely transparent by having them communicate with each other, such as telling each other where they're going or what tactic they'll employ or even where they think the player is located. i think that Need For Speed is the better example of this since the AI works in a pattern such as spawning in two Rhino's every time they appear or always having a gap in a roadblock for you to squeeze through, and the game has over 10,000 voicelines regarding the actions of both the player and the police and they'll speak to each other in code that the player can decipher through continued experience.
Someone seriously needs to investigate VOID interactive. I have the feeling that they are just straight up refusing to change the AI because the lead developers are too stubborn or incompotent. That AI position was most likely them trying to find a replacement AI developer because the lead AI developer fired them for siding with the players on pointing out how bad the AI is. The game's graphics and everything else is great, but holy hell i've seen asset flips and small time indie devs code more functional AI than this. They seem to be humoring the fact that 'the game is hard because it's so good'...when in reality, the game is hard because it doesn't respect the player or even strategy, just Time To Kill, that's all RoN boils down to. RoN is not a swat sim, it's a milsim with arbitrary objectives tossed in.
Yeah and the players using cheesing tactics will religously defend the game as "realistic" which then fuels VOIDs complete disregard for these problems. Hopefully the 1.0 release will bring more reasonable players who will complain and force them to fix their fucking ai
Holly molly, I just saw the video for the very first time and I was agreeing with everything that was being shown. I didn't even realized this was posted 1 year ago. Goes to show how much has changed...
This deserves to be seen by more people, I see a lot of people praising the AI for being "good" in the comments of clips of this game while it’s not good, it’s cheating. This is the exact video I was searching for to explain that.
Bokoen1 had a pretty good instance of broken AI, where he repeatedly told an innocent to get on their knees so he could cuff them. Instead, the AI awkwardly shambled around for several minutes, taking beatings, flashbangs, and pepper spray without complying, all while the whole team was repeatedly shouting to get down in-game.
This video aged like fine wine, sadly. :/ If youre still interested in Ready or Not you should make another video on the state of the "1.0" "full release"
I once shot an AI and his body clipped through a wall on some stair so I couldn't report/restrain him, but I had a sneaking suspicion he was faking. So I waited for him to get up and he did. He stood up straight, twisted his body and was obviously reaching for a gun. I wanted to wait and keep yelling at him and hoped he'd comply, but I was going to wait until I actually saw the gun to shoot. He ended up shooting me before he even pulled his gun out of his waist. His gun was not visible in his hand when he shot and killed me.
I was killed like this as well, not glitching on stairs but he was downed and I suspected he was faking. I said to my friends on comms I could just dome him (both of them were dead from a John Wick) but I didn't want to because it voids (eh?) the point of the game. Sure enough he stood up, ignored me barking commands to surrender and killed me with his hand still to his side pulling out a "sidearm". We all just called it a night after that, there are some amazing quick draw experts in the world and obviously in the past and I can say 100% of the time those people would pull slower after a 5.56 zipped through their lungs. Game is just an expensive middle finger right now.
it is even worse now. AI has inhuman levels of reaction time and will see and shoot at you through walls doors and tents. And they sometimes don't register flashbangs and c2's and will keep attacking you like nothing happened. And good luck if you don't carry wedges because they will chase you like they are the swap officers for some reason. I am fine with the game being hard but I don't find it realistic when a crack head somehow sees me from 10 meters away in pitch black darkness and kills me instantly with a hand gun
Playing Brisa Cove without Door wedge will really bring out the problems in the AI. I don't mind the flanking and aggressiveness once they realise that the SWAT is on scene, but rather I take issue with the fact that how fast they react, even if they are just some dopers who want to support their addiction, or the private security of Amos Voll.
11:00 very good point. Keep hearing all the nonsense 'well don't play it like cod'. I'm willing to bet these players are the ones that shoot on sight, vs yelling for compliance or even checking the target. The only reason people would enjoy inhuman reaction AI, is if they literally played the game like 'COD'. As you said ccing them just makes them 'cardboard cutouts' and all you have to do is walk in and spam F. You can be the worlds slowest potato and pull that off. Most people play this without flashbanging/wanding every room. They walk around and yell for compliance and check their targets. It's more fun by far having to determine civ/suspect/swat, yelling for compliance and firing if they raise their gun. Vs '180 headshot everyone'. Also yeah the animations and firearms dont tie in to the behaviour at all. I've been shot by pepper sprayed suspects, have watched people get shot by pepper sprayed (still hunched over and coughing) suspects facing the wrong direction. They had the ai in a decent spot months ago and they just keep fucking everything up more with each patch.
100% The only way to play the game effectively right now is with mods or by throwing the rules of engagement out the window and just shooting every armed suspect on sight. But by that point you're basically playing a twitch-shooter when I thought tactical games like RoN are supposed to be 'decision' games first and foremost and THEN a shooter.
I was flamed on their discord for bringing up these criticisms for like 10 mintus straight. The second I started defending myself and talking shit back, the mods banned me. They were waiting for me to say something. I wasnt expecting such a niche game to have such a COD-tier childish community. As always, I'm vindicated at the end when months later, people start independently spotting the same issues i brought up. Its lonely at the top...
@@McDewgout yea. I know that cod comparisons are overdone, but it paints the picture of what im trying to say. Coming from arma milsim, where most people are level headed ex-servicemen in their 30s/40s, i was not expecting the RoN community to behave the way they did
@@McDewgout This sort of strange behavior can come from anytime anyone spends money on anything, creating a self-interest to defend their purchase. As much as I understand the defensiveness of Ready or Not's die-hard fans, you are definitely right that the AI does need improvement if it wishes to reach the heights that I think this game is capable of. It breaks my heart when I think about this stuff because despite your very valid criticism of the detection vs response time issue and in particular the very good point that great AI is just not stupid rather than smart, when the game does work correctly, it really is a joy to play, potentially even one of my favorite games ever. I hope the developers are able to see the good intentions and love for the game that comes from those who wish to see it improve, rather than resting on their laurels and dismissing well considered criticism.

In November 2023, the AI is still fucked up fast and idiotic. They can quite literally go action hero on your ass in less than a second, but if they lose sight of you, they will try to flank you with no self-preservation whatsoever. Almost every time. I peeked inside a room, shot a couple of times, wedged the door, and the guy still tried to flank me with the only door he could enter and still killed me with his Flash-level reaction time while I was waiting for him. I even got shot through the fucking wall without vision. It's like I'm playing Rainbow Six: Siege all over again. I'm fine with professional criminals and crazy, unpredictable meth addicts, but the fact that every single one of them, even a gas station robbing thug, acts like said professionals and has morale higher than a Warhammer 40k space marine on top of that, makes the game less unique and far less enjoyable. Civilians are the same thing sometimes. I saved his fucking life and still have the nerve to stand there and shittalk. My friend plays the game right. He literally spams F and shoots everyone in the stomach without a second thought. I swear to god that if this new swatting level is going to have a goofy ass god-killing streamer, I'm going to lose my fucking mind...
Anyone who defends this games AI is delusional. Its clearly unfair and broken. The worst part is that theyre giving the more ways to kill you aswell. So not only do they have stupid accuracy and reaction times, now they can take cover and shoot from cover and hide. Its ridiculous. I play a lot of milsim type games going back to Arma 2 and 3 so i definitely play careful, so when the ready or not community tells me "just get good" that really pisses me off.
a lot of the people i see defending the game's utterly insane AI will just say "the game actually really easy. it's clearly a skill issue on your part. you're clearly and old man with slow reflexes playing Arma too much." and the sorts that say that kinda rebuttal are just so snotty and arrogant. they lack any self awareness and it's completely frustrating having some whiny, cockeyed brat talk me down because i find it unreasonable that a guy can shoot me in the face with pinpoint accuracy, around a corner and pop his head out in the same exact frame. it's either that or some retiree managing to shoot me through a wall from another apartment entirely without missing.
What a great freakin video. This really sums up a lot of it's issues. And of course they banned you, thin skinned devs who can't take criticism at all. But don't worry the next patch will make your player characters mouth move when you talk. BIG IMPORTANTO.
This needs more attention. I've been one of the supporters of this game for a long time because of my love for SWAT 4. I don't want to sugarcoat or act like it's a player fault that suspect are "hard", they blatantly cheat, and it's obvious it needs a change.
@@kissaninja9700 Yea, developing maps and AI at the same time, makes NPC feel similar to each other. If we're lucky, before EA ends and maps will be finished, they will have the chance to personalize NPC for each map.
Well made the video! I hope they make them less superhuman and just smarter in the future. So that they do respond to flashlights/ (visible) lasers, comms, steps etc., try to flank and so on. I would also like to see meth suspects / regular thugs to have less accuracy and more spray versus accurat suspects like the ex military guys which should be more accurat, try to suppress and hold an angle imho. Which would also give map creaters more of an option the create an actual scenario with their map by choosing different kinds of skilled suspects.
I absolutely love this video. My mod, Improved Gameplay was the most popular AI mods on the nexus for nearly a year. I ended up dropping the game completely and stopped updating the mod because the AI was just so bad it couldn't be fixed without entire AI rewrite to even allow proper response times. You covered nearly all the issues that I found frustrating over two years ago, and sadly, these can't be completely fixed by modders. Add the fact the devs act like children and ban people in steam community posts or their discord for being critical of obvious issues with their game? Highly unprofessional.

I remember this discussion showed up in Black Mesa Source (fan remake of Half Life 1) when it rolled out its first demo in 2012. The original Half Life and Half Life 2 were very much in the Quake spirit of run-and-gun combat, but Black Mesa Source wanted to make things moodier and harder. So they doubled the damage the player takes compared to Half Life 1, used the stronger AI from Half Life 2 AND increased the Marines' accuracy... and the result is the player getting into unwinnable quick-draws (0.2 seconds if I recall correctly) from the first enemy Marine they see before getting surrounded by all the other Marines, it was kind of nuts, and later toned down in a patch. The locomotion delay also presented a problem in Team Fortress 2's PvE mode, "Mann vs machine" (6 human players vs waves of robots). On launch robots could spin around inhumanly fast, negating any tactical positioning. So after a couple days the devs added a "virtual mousepad" so robots could only turn around so quickly.
The fact that I thought this year old video was within the month, is a testament to the lack of AI development into 1.0. It’s the final lock in the chest. This game is almost there!
How is it that this so well made video with this much information hasn't been seen by the devs or even more people. I just saw the end of the video and... shit.
Solid video explaining the issues with ai. I have been playing alot since 1.0 and it really is a fun game but this type of stuff is still present and can certainly be frustrating to deal with as the player cannot possible react fast enough. Great video and take. We've been playing since launch and noticed all these issues too. Hope they get someone to unfuck that mess sooner rather than later. Edit: played 1.0 No change to AI whatsoever.
The problem with all AI bots in FPS games is that whenever they are programmed on maximum hard difficulty - they always have aim lock and wall hacks, and it feels like ur not even playing against realistic human reaction times. U simply die instantly through walls and cover.
Yeah unless you have a shooter like halo or something it just feels like every fps enemy is either terminator instant killing you through walls or instantly around corners. OR brain dead retarded easy and you walk through them. It’s so hard to find that perfect middle ground. I’m no game dev; but I wish there was some “fear” response from both suspects and civi’s. Higher fear from hearing gunshots, explosions, or dwindling radio communications from their comrades (for terrorists/left behind) Fear making suspects want to travel more for some, but also camp and aim at the door for others, making irrational choices out of panic. This will make AI flank you more, but also camp more. I also want with higher fear, moral drops massively-and decreases accuracy upon breaches. Meaning loud gunfights throughout a map cause suspects at the end of the map (say the boat launch at the coyote den) just shit their pants in fear of you breach the 2 doors with c2 and they spray wildly or instantly surrender. Maybe it will make it too easy, maybe not. Just an idea
I just got here because I had an ai facing the opposite direction of me and when I told the bastard to drop the gun he fucking flicked onto my head and killed me. Maybe I’ll stick to swat 4 for now
Yeah, i've been playing with my homie and the AI is busted, and you explain it really well... One thing i'd like them to keep is the wall bangs tho, but not as they are right know. Instead, they could make them like the npc rolls a probability dice to try to wall bang and another probability dice to shoot at a certain area in which you may or may not be, to simulate what we do in online games like R6 when we try to wall bang the other team choosing a random spot on the wall using the last position and direction we saw them move at. Im bad at explaining but that's my idea.
If it's done well, absolutely. Just imagine opening a door (instead of peeking it) and hearing the suspects shout "oh shit" and firing through the open door or at the sides of the door. Could also be a great way to bait the suspects into dumping their magazines, allowing you to rush in and neutralize the suspects while they're reloading. A good counter for suspects camping a doorway when you're out of flashbangs.

The sad part is that one needs mods to basicly hot fix the broken AI, because Void devs seem to be incompetent to do the job them self's ! Awesome video U made such great points !
My biggest issue with AI isnt the response time but the seemingly missing animation frames or in other words low ready kills, its impossible to read AI most of the times and you just have to go with your gut feeling basically because if I wait another 0.1s there is a high chance I'll get low ready killed. This makes telling them to surrender redundant.
What separates a good company from a bad one in general is how they respond to criticism and grow over time. That CEO is probably reinvesting into fake review farms forum trolls. Thanks for saving me from a $40 mistake with the video ending. Edit: Came here after 1.0 release. LMAO
Agreed. The AI in this game is far too hard. It also encourages shooting on sight, instead of doing things SWAT actually does. I would say that suspects' reaction time should vary depending on their 'role' I.e. meth-head vs security. I would also maybe add some random hesitation to them, if that's realistic.

The companion AI is downright broken in some maps as well, The dock map is an exercise in micro management because if you let your AI roam free they'll "clear" entire open areas with their backs turned to 4 different enemies while being shot at.
The game is challenging but not in a good way, it's challenging because the enemy will consistently outgun you even if it doesn't make sense, I don't mind being shot in the face because I ran around a corner without peeking it but I do mind being shot in the face because a cartel member saw a single pixel of my arm through some cardboard boxes and decided to unload a magazine with perfect precision at me.

man, whenever i think about good AI in games i think about stuff like Half Life, FEAR, Dishonored, Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) and Left 4 Dead 2. those are games where the AI is incredibly nuanced in terms of both tactics and combat efficiency. hell in FEAR and Need for Speed, the games made how the AI works completely transparent by having them communicate with each other, such as telling each other where they're going or what tactic they'll employ or even where they think the player is located. i think that Need For Speed is the better example of this since the AI works in a pattern such as spawning in two Rhino's every time they appear or always having a gap in a roadblock for you to squeeze through, and the game has over 10,000 voicelines regarding the actions of both the player and the police and they'll speak to each other in code that the player can decipher through continued experience.

If youre still interested in Ready or Not you should make another video on the state of the "1.0" "full release"
I can’t believe this is still an issue a year later
4:24 that "Bismillah" followed by the unexpected expletive is unreasonalby amusing.
Could not agree more, once again top quality post from the Dewgs.
"Feels weird knowing I get a betting ping to online server than I do to my own body" got my cracked up xD HAHAHA

Fuck it, I'm going back to swat 4
I think it's easier to compare it to a religion the way some defend the game and the anti-consumer practices of the developer.
@@McDewgout yea. I know that cod comparisons are overdone, but it paints the picture of what im trying to say. Coming from arma milsim, where most people are level headed ex-servicemen in their 30s/40s, i was not expecting the RoN community to behave the way they did

@@stevec9077 The I always used was "Battlefield or Not"
every suspect having god-rounds even when their gun is loaded with 9mm versus my rifle firing 7.62 and only SOMETIMES piercing materials is just as aggravating as the shotgun-Wicks strafing my whole team with 2 shots
I was a fan of the game way before the 1.0 update without issues like this and now that I updated the game, I’ve been experiencing these issues. I never knew this was such a huge problem beforehand.
yeah I enjoyed the game a great deal before this update. There were a few wtf moments here and there but I chalked it up to being too aggressive/missing something.
This update has made the issue glaringly obvious. I swear its just an RNG twitch shooter now.
The game is now out and this problem still there. I dont't undestand how this is even posible
I was wondering how I felt I was playing against hackers now that I'm finally playing single player. This makes so much sense.
what's also incredible is that at 9:57 the suspect is not even properly ADS the player... lmao wtf
Lol that's what I said when I watched this a year ago
I’m glad someone is addressing the ai problems this game has. Me and my homies love playing RoN, but there’s just too many times we’ve run into conceal carry suspects and gotten one-tapped by most of them when their guns haven’t even left their pants.
If you think this is realistic, then I shouldn’t have to end up in the hospital every time I negligently discharge my handgun during a quick draw drill haha
The fact that a game from 2005 blows the RON AI out of the water when they have had 6 years to work on it is ridiculous
Unfortunately we're back to more broken AI.
It's still shit after a supposed release of the game. Makes me wonder how hard it is to copy from swat 4, a game released in 2005.
In swat 4 the ai could instant kill you if they wanted to. They just had a lot of different behaviors so it didn't really matter. Not with Ron though.
@@chunkytomatosoup1826 and that's how you make good ai. You have to hide the bullshit with more mechanics. Im really worried that this game will fall because of this shit ai. It's unacceptable that modders have to fix this 50$ crap. Everything besides the optimization and enemy ai is good tho. (unfortunately enemy ai is what makes this game a SWAT game so the game becomes unenjoyable). I think i'll finally buy swat 4
@@wingletmusic You should get swat 4 even if ron is fixed and the maps are ported. The atmosphere and characters are fun. It's one of a kind. It's cheap on gog.
@@chunkytomatosoup1826 just did, amazing first impressions
@@wingletmusicyou should also try rainbow six raven shield... preferably modded
the examples of the stunned ai pulling a gun quickly has killed so many brisa coves for me and has happened all too often
I can slice the pie, but instead of eating the pie... the pie eats me 😄
I remember this discussion showed up in Black Mesa Source (fan remake of Half Life 1) when it rolled out its first demo in 2012.
Also your voice was surprisingly soothing despite the context of the criticism lol
Man devs must see this and make so descizions instead of making new damn funky guns
The devs have indeed seen the video and they called it nonsense on their discord.
@@Waldherzwow thats sad, game has no chsnce to become great
they already got their millions of dollars in profit. there's literally zero incentive to do a proper overhaul of the AI.
@@melc311 sad but true
Ive been working on my Terriorst AI for my gmod gamemode, this video is a huge help for me.
And somehow my AI is better than this lol
I'm glad I watched this prior to buying. You saved my nervous system! Thank you for braking it down.
Yap, 2023 and 1.0 is already behind us, but the horrendous enemy AI is still with us without a single fix ever since.
Luckily there is a mod fixing that and suspects are more likely to give when you have them in your sights.
@@penedrador Exactly :) I'm using "Immersive and realistic AI balancing" mod, and it totally changed my game experience, can't even imagine starting up the game without it anymore. Ofc I'm open to any other mod suggestions as well, I just bumped into this one as one of the suggested mods.
In conclusion: Ready Or Not AI was and still is quite fucked up.
Less fucked up, but still sometimes they shoot my officers one by one when they are entering the room and then shoot me through the wall.
I forgot, officers AI is also fucked up, when suspect AI is extremely fast, officer AI is slower then a damn turtle walking speed.
Honestly, if I was a dev I'd be pretty annoyed at the "super fans" as well. I wouldn't want anyone to dogpile someone that brings up valid criticism that might help make my product better and more enjoyable.
That is their exact strategy in the Steam forums and they have succeeded in raising my blood pressure as a reader.
Higher fear from hearing gunshots, explosions, or dwindling radio communications from their comrades (for terrorists/left behind)
Fear making suspects want to travel more for some, but also camp and aim at the door for others, making irrational choices out of panic.
This game feels like I'm playing warzone against cheaters again. Wallhacking aimbots
I just got here because I had an ai facing the opposite direction of me and when I told the bastard to drop the gun he fucking flicked onto my head and killed me. Maybe I’ll stick to swat 4 for now
DO NOT GIVE VOID ANY MONEY UNTIL THEY UNBAN MCDEWGOUT!
What is mcdewgout?
I just learned the Reddit post containing my video was removed by a RoN subreddit moderator. No word yet on why.
www.reddit.com/r/ReadyOrNotGame/comments/wcno66/current_state_of_the_ai
Wanted to let you know that the reddit post is back up. Supposedly it's automods fault
@@littleboi6440 What did the mods say?
@@McDewgout "The original post has been manually approved due to a mistake by our automod" - notanasianpi (mod)
Also there's dev response:
"The deletion happened on within about a day of when the video was first released and originated on the Steam Forums, automod had an issue in this case and it was unrelated to any of the video itself. We noticed it didn’t make sense for it to be deleted and reversed that change. All feedback is taken into account and we don’t intentionally try to prevent it, I made a comment on the Steam forums about it all the time" - gerbbz
wow
Alright the nerding out on response times got me to subscribe
LMAO
supporter edition is around 100$ and updates are locked behind it, should tell you enough really
i still like the game but yikes
Agreed. The AI in this game is far too hard. It also encourages shooting on sight, instead of doing things SWAT actually does. I would say that suspects' reaction time should vary depending on their 'role' I.e. meth-head vs security. I would also maybe add some random hesitation to them, if that's realistic.
Lol after the release the AI still sucks... options removed very bad optimization...
Steam reviews all great...
Wtf
