Just bought the game a couple weeks back and have beaten all the missions. The AI still feels the way described in the video . The enemy seems to have no limit of how far they can spot you. I genuinely cant even see half the enemies that shoot at me, ill just see muzzle flash and later see that they were shooting at me across the map through a crack. Even knowing exactly where an enemy is and pre-aiming where they are. They can react so fast that they do damage , you can get the kill usually but it still feels ridiculous to use a mirror tool or surprise them only to have still take limb damage.
the problem with this game is the AI is not using realistic element mostly they still same like other games turret like shooting enemy what will u hate the most about the game is about the unfairness of course and the map that only 2 to 4 that worth replayable quite expensive if u just a casual gamer who mostly praise piracy the game also dont have stealth mechanic makes it like GTA5-like npc who just mindlessly shooting at u but with snap ultra accuracy

No it has changed, now they are slightly less accurate, and shoot your body instead of your head. Its playable, but not fun

Am I right in thinking this is unfortunately not updated yet? I just installed a bunch of a mods for my third (and first proper) run through the first war, and the workshop discussion seemed to say it was outdated which is a real shame.

Good evening, on the Crew management page and then under Boat Heading I have set my Dive Schedule to 8am to 18.00 however it's now 8.36 and ive still not gone to periscope depth. Any ideas where im going wrong. Thanks Michael

i like the game. the idea of a realistic tac shooter with friends sounds like a fun cooperative challenge... i hate the squad ai however... that mixed with the OP enemy ai it ruins the experience for me
they should learn from swat 4 but tone down the grenades from that game, right now we have john wicks everywhere and grenades that arent enough to do anything to them, for example flashbangs do absolutely nothing if they land behind the suspects (not how flashbangs should work)
I dont think this works anymore. If you set 24hour shift for crewmen eventually you start getting less and less of them available, probably because they are tired. They probably patched this out years ago? I don't know

Just watched this awesome video! Just wondering about one thing given that this is now a 3 year old video. Is it possible that in the current version the numbers in the tasks actually matter with regards to high they are? I was trying this out and put 4 scheduled tasks on an officer on duty numbered 1-4 and one of them was navigation. Navigation was at the time around 8% and he just stood there and nobody else on that station. I tried bumping the navigation number up to 10 and then he ran to it.

I tried using the page up/down to increase the size of the images on the screen, it didn’t work……..are there any extra keys I need to press with the page up down buttons ? Edit: I found the UI scaling in the option settings under video. 👍🏾

I hate it that you’re the first to shoot a low ready crackhead with 5.56, yet he still gets to shoot you twice before your third bullet.
The problem with all AI bots in FPS games is that whenever they are programmed on maximum hard difficulty - they always have aim lock and wall hacks, and it feels like ur not even playing against realistic human reaction times. U simply die instantly through walls and cover.
Yeah unless you have a shooter like halo or something it just feels like every fps enemy is either terminator instant killing you through walls or instantly around corners. OR brain dead retarded easy and you walk through them. It’s so hard to find that perfect middle ground. I’m no game dev; but I wish there was some “fear” response from both suspects and civi’s. Higher fear from hearing gunshots, explosions, or dwindling radio communications from their comrades (for terrorists/left behind) Fear making suspects want to travel more for some, but also camp and aim at the door for others, making irrational choices out of panic. This will make AI flank you more, but also camp more. I also want with higher fear, moral drops massively-and decreases accuracy upon breaches. Meaning loud gunfights throughout a map cause suspects at the end of the map (say the boat launch at the coyote den) just shit their pants in fear of you breach the 2 doors with c2 and they spray wildly or instantly surrender. Maybe it will make it too easy, maybe not. Just an idea
And your teammate bots not listening to ur commands plus blocking the exit and you cant get past them
I absolutely love this video. My mod, Improved Gameplay was the most popular AI mods on the nexus for nearly a year. I ended up dropping the game completely and stopped updating the mod because the AI was just so bad it couldn't be fixed without entire AI rewrite to even allow proper response times. You covered nearly all the issues that I found frustrating over two years ago, and sadly, these can't be completely fixed by modders. Add the fact the devs act like children and ban people in steam community posts or their discord for being critical of obvious issues with their game? Highly unprofessional.
It’s a dope game, I really like it a lot but the AI definitely has issues and needs tweaking. They are far too aggressive and far too accurate. I don’t mind a punishing game but sometimes it just feels outright unfair. Nothing wrong with pointing that out, it’s a good game but it could still use some tweaking
Finally! I who thought this was a buggy mess. Now I think not and that I did this wrong all the time. After watching your video a second time in one week I now understand how the remaining pool of sailors not on current shift is available for the officers. Lately I had only two sailors "on duty" as it is called (small square at the right side from the officers) and could not figure out why I could not get more sailors available. Running the IIA with only 14 sailors total and a fuel tank the size of a peanut this was very hard at times. When playing later this evening I will setup the crew, officers, schedule, tasks and squads correctly. I need my men available for my officers. Very valuable crew managment tutorial even 3 years later. Thank you!
Just one more thing. I have read that sailors do not need to sleep and that they can work 24/7. In that case why not just have one shift and give them all the sailors minus the pool for officer duty? As I understood there are far fewer sailors on this ship than there where in real life and that the developers compensated this with sailors without the need for sleep. Anyways I will test the singel 24/7 shift theory. I have 14 sailors and 6 officers. The officers runs two shifts mirroring their roles and responsibilities. The leader and the engineer will have two sailors assigned, and the radioman can have one. This gives me 5 in the duty pool and 9 on the 24 hour shift. This should be plenty. Yesterday I got access to IID with the much larger fuel tank so two sailors for the engineer is not that important anymore. Once again thank you for this great tutorial.

Fantastic video thank you for this. Damn shame they had to kill the game with 1.0. I noticed such a massive difference at how unbalanced the A.I was I just stopped playing entirely. Game was tons of fun before that.
The AI on your team is extremely incapable on some maps. Like in Sins of the Father, they most often don't stack up on hallways or doors and scoot around the map or just stand still leading me to being shot in the back since they don't fucking post up even after telling multiple times. AI enemies are sometimes weird shooting through doors and walls, windows and obstacles while non of my weapons are able to do the same. But I can deal with that, as long as my dudes do as I say, which they in 40% of cases don't. In SWAT 4 the flashlights actually blinded a suspect when blasting their eyes, even if it was just for a second. But it helped deescalating many situations without shooting. Apart from that, the enemy AI isn't as ridiculous as it was in the video
i dont really mind the fast reactions of the ai i only want my teams ai to do what i tell them to and that they dont just get a main charechter syndrome and start running towards a hallway full of open doors
Any update on this one? We have 2 others now and the new patch is meant to drop in a day or so. * 5 = Km // * 5000 = meters. As for hectometers, I'm not sure of that one, it's not used in Metric countries. Typically mm, cm, m, km are the most common. Is HM a nautical thing?
I feel bad for the community, they are still waiting on the AI patch.

Why would an officer carry ammunition? He’d order a swabby to do it. I’m fairly sure the officer would be more likely to supervise and direct a gun than actually fire it.

Yup i was lucky to get a refund , i was looking for a tactical squad game where you have to exercise triger discipline, but this is exactly what makes it impossible. If i wanted to play cs go , i would just install and get stomped by my global elite friends.

Too Bad it doesn't work like this anymore. I assume that this was changed in some past update. This is what people should expect whenever someone puts out a video and the devs see it.
