Great content, as always! Looking forward to your next videos! upd: By the way, I used small bench vice to take off these little caps for air shrouding and swapped them on new brass injectors(Don't push too far, or it will block the air port between injector and cap) Work great, nice price AND look much better then rusty old ones.
Great content and great to see k jet being kept alive. I know some of the answers, are maybe spread across different vids you’ve posted and I need to rewatch ones I’ve seen and watch the ones I haven’t seen. I have a future project to drop a 9a 2.0 block and PL or KR head into an mk1 rabbit I just acquired. I have the block and head, I have the fuel dizzy and other assorted parts that came with it that may well all be junk. I acquired the scirocco intake and I am trying to understand what is the best path forward. I know motronic ecu driving the system with knock sensors, hall sensor, etc ,, but do you have a preferred approach within the k jetronic realm that you can recommend. The highest non ethanol gas is 90 octane (U.S. RON?),, so curious what all I should source for my project. I’m only planning to go with maybe a sportier cam and free flow exhaust ,, so not looking to support big gains. Thanks for the help!!
Thanks. So, I would then want to source what I think is 1 knock sensor on the kr,, cuz I’m thinking the 9A had the 2 lock sensors. Please tell me if I have this right and what I might be missing on parts list: -KR ECU -KR Fuel Dizzy and scirocco air flow meter, and air box (assuming it needs to be scirocco) -other? -KR WUR -KR Dizzy -KR knock sensor -The mercedes injectors you talk about in this vid -engine harness -cold start injector (??)
Im in the process of changing my injectors so going to purchase these. My inserts shrouds are falling apart will i need new ones with these injectors? Will i need the hats too? Thanks
hi I have a VW Mk2 1.6 engine which has become a bit weak. I'm thinking about changing the segments, but the majority of mechanics say that renewing the Volkswagen Mk2 engine is not a success, is that true? THANKS I found your channel today by chance. I like your explanation even though I do not understand English because I am from Morocco
Great info will be blocking this off. Got one problem with my car at the moment CO mixture screw is seized is there a way of freeing up without dismantling?
I’m running high compression and needing to get more fuel in to my Digifant as I’m fighting detonation Looking at injector upgrades What cc/ min would you suggest as the standard are 220cc/min
Good day need some advise please. I am busy fitting kjet to my jetta mk2. Ran up the pumps to find injectors spraying as if full throttle. Found the fuel pin stuck. Opened the metering head cleaned everything freeing up the fuel pin. Ran the sytem again to fin one injector still spraying like mad and no difference moving the fuel flap up or down? Any help will be apreciated. Love your channel!!
@@GreyGooseRestorations thanks for your reply. The fault was on my side i did not line up the fuel slits with the metering head. Car is running some fine tuning to be done. Love your content!!!
Saving 20 quid an injector on our classic money-pit cars. 👌Thanks for the, as usual, revealing not horseradish insight

Personally id stick with the KR ecu and the purely mechanical k-jetronic as its simpler

@MarkMach1 no knock sensors on the KR
Thank you! Great info! Was looking for injectors and the Merc injectors keep coming up
Do these also work on the 8V engine with K-Jet? any change needed for the hats? thanks for the video!
Yes, same principle applies if the engine has air shrouding, just block the air feed pipe
Always fantastic advice

Yes you'll need new shrouds and seals, you can swap the top hats onto the merc injectors but they need to be mega tight to fit back on

Hi, load of rubbish, you can rebuild any mk2 engine with great results
THANKS
Sup goose .. lil of topic here but can you please explain the reason using Nissan Pistons on your 16v ? 🙏🏾
Cost haha all will become apparent when i do a update on the rally build 😉
@@GreyGooseRestorations no real durable reason though ?
@illoydgreen4127 There OEM forced induction 😉

Soak it in penetrant oil and see if it comes loose

That depends on what your AFRs are currently, if there not fair off you could use an adjustable FPR and get more fuel that way

Most likely one of the seals has either failed or has twisted so control pressure is getting past and straight out an injector

@kobusstrydom5166 ace good work 👏
You can also use 80's Ferrari Testarossa Bosch injectors 😂👍
Could you link to the injectors?
